CDMA Nexus - Currently unable to connect to mobile network - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Good evening all! Today I restarted my phone for the first time in a week and a half or so, and upon booting up it refused to connect to the mobile network. It says full service 4G, but the bars are gray and therefore no data connection can be established. I restarted my phone once more and then even pulled the battery and sim card and started it up. Nothing has worked. I got home and connected to WiFi just fine, but when I turn off WiFi I go back to no data connection.
Is anyone else using a CDMA Nexus and having a problem? I live in Cleveland, if it's a possible area issue. I haven't called yet, but I have searched all over the internet to no avail.
Currently running stock, rooted, 4.0.4. No other modifications.

No problems here, but I'm a good ways away from you.

well I'm finally able to connect to the network again (the signal bars are blue), but I'm still getting virtually no data connection. It works in sprints of a few seconds, but then doesn't work again for a minute or 2. There's either a problem with my phone or the network...but I'd lean toward the network since it works at times, but not others.

I live in Parma and have noticed spotier service then normal. Hopefully its temporary. Hasn't been too bad. Able to get 4g most of the time.

HELP! Major network problem :(

Hi all,
I got my Desire from the British carrier "Three" last April when it came out. It was stocked with Android 2.1 but the phone was unbranded and not locked so making life much easier.
I rooted the phone weeks later and flashed a number of various roms and radios (usually newest ones recommended by rom developers) and just played around with them. No problems ever occured and everything went smooth.
However a while ago (about 4 weeks I would say) strange thing happened: when the carrier 3 does not gave 3G coverage it usually switches to other network's 2G roaming service. It is also possible to switch to 2G permanently by forcing it via phone settings. It stopped working in Central London for me while still worked elsewhere (very strange) so I had to rely only on 3G service. I thought it was a network issue at first but now I'm not sure.
Later (or at least so I noticed) the connectivity started fooling around: even when standstill (i.e. NOT in a train, bus etc.) and staying at home the network connectivity just disappears all of a sudden. Sometimes it comes back by itself and sometimes I just do it manually via netowking settings. This is much more common when on the move (i.e. on the train etc. even though it never used to happen before). Moreover, sometimes while manually searching for network it says "your sim would not allow to connect to this network" even though I try to connect to the correct one. Instead I switch "WCDMA only" and "WCDMA/GSM auto" options and connection comes back by itself. Then it disappears again after a while. Even more strangely, connection does not disappear if I am talking on the phone with someone but in other situations (such as browsing internet) it just disappears and I see no bars in network reception indicator and cannot connect to internet or make phone calls.
I know 3 has a reputation (deserved or not) of having "bad" network but I don't think this has anything to do with that. My Desire used to work fine before and never had such problems (except in specific spots which have bad coverage). Moreover, I have another old phone and it works fine without any problems with networking while the Desire messes around. I am sure it has either to do with firmware or, worse, hardware.
I have tried a number of roms, radios and settings and it's the same thing all over.
If nothing works is there a way I can still bring it to warranty service after flashing "unrooted" stock rom if there is one available? I'm so frustrated because I have no idea why this is happening.
Its because three have switched off 2g roaming I have the same problem. Search Google

No phone signal yet can use mobile internet

I've got a strange problem that I cannot solve or find anyone else that has had the same problem.
I recently updated to Minco V4 and since my status bar has been showing no signal and mobile standby shows 100% without signal yet I have mobile data. I cannot make any phone calls but can browse the internet. No amount of rebooting, airplane mode on/off will work. I've also gone back to both stock ICS and JB where the problem still exists.
My network is T-Mobile and it won't let me manually connect to it but the phone will occasionally register when I select automatic although it doesn't correct the fault. Anyone have any ideas what has gone wrong with my phone?
UPDATE: It seems I can only get a phone signal when select 2g T-mobile network only or connecting to T-Mobile orange. If I untick 2g networks and it connects to t-mobile 3g I can't receive or make calls.
Does your Radio and baseband match?
I installed the linked radio from the MiNCO thread after flashing the rom and discovering this issue yet it made no difference.
I got a phone signal momentarily about 15 mins ago which allowed me to make a short phone call to test it. I then accepted the JB system update from Google and now have no phone signal, just data.

[Q] Nexus 7 (2013) - Mobile data issue

I've been using my Nexus 7 2013 LTE for almost a year now. But since last week I've been having trouble connecting to the internet via mobile network. I have full signal, but no data connection.
At first the issue was intermittent, but now it's constant. Incidentally, sometime after I started getting problems (but during a brief period of time when I did in fact had a data connection) the device got upgraded to Android 4.4.4. Maybe the upgrade had something to do with the issue, but i'm sure that it started happening before the upgrade.
For some time I was sure that the issue was with the network. After long useless conversations with them I finally tried the sim on another device, and to my disappointment, it worked fine.
I also found out that if i change the preferred network mode to 2G, then i do get a data connection. That's not very useful.
Any thoughts?
I've been having a similar problem since the 4.4.4 update. I work in an LTE coverage area, and live in a 2G area. It transitions just fine from 2G into 3G and LTE, but then when I go back into the 2G area it drops signal entirely. Toggling airplane mode won't make it recover, but a full reboot will. After the reboot it works fine again. I'm considering trying a factory reset to see if that helps.

[Q] Wifi issues

Hey guys,
So all of a sudden, my wifi is searching and not connecting in a campus setting. My Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is still connected to the same wifi my Note 4 was. I have tried rebooting, removing battery, shutting off and on data and wifi, and airplane mode. Nothing reconnects it. Also tried forgetting all networks since there are 5 when searching for networks it finds and reconnecting to one, still no dice. It's been 4 hours, still can't reconnect. Any ideas?

Have you tried to forget the network and then ADD it with + Add Wi-Fi network? I actually had an issue playing with a Galaxy note 10.1 2012 edition, I turned my hotspot (sprint note 4) on and named it the same as our current network (was showing how open networks aren't always the network they say and anybody can create a Starbucks-Guest network.... I used starbucks-guest because I didn't want to put my schools on here). The tablet didn't see the network even after reboots, but when I added the network manually it connected right away. Also was this connecting to the same access points or different ones on the other side of campus?
Yep tried forgetting, re-adding the wifi spot and nothing.
I've been having wifi connection issues since day one of getting this phone.
Not sure if I have the same problem.
But at least once a day, it seems the phone can no longer make a connection to my wifi.
The only solution is to either just power off the phone and restart or do what Sprint asked me to do.
Sprint said to try and reset the network connection information by dialing ##72786#
The phone will power off and then restart do some background stuff and then power off again and restart.
Once that is done, all is fine.
I've never had this happen on any other of my Android devices. I even use a static IP with my phone setup.
And yes, I have tried just using the default of DHCP.
I had thought it was my router (Asus RT-AC68U) which transmits both 2.4ghz and 5ghz. I have both setup and I try to use 5ghz the most.
I did upgrade the router software because I was one version behind, but that did not fix anything.
Also, I had a Sprint femocell in my house (provided for free from Sprint) because I had bad signal issues years ago.. But because this phone uses LTE and now it seems the phone comes with built-in WiFi Calling. (Means instead of using the cellular network it will use my network and ISP to make Sprint calls, all voice and text messages come through normally, it's basically a built-in femocell).
I returned that, whoops still in the box, need to get that mailed out fast.
I'm not sure how widespread this issue is, but I suspect it's bigger that just the two of us here. And if I'm in the wrong thread, please let m know.
Thanks
Rob

Mobile Data stops working

Hello,
I live in an area (like many of us) there T-mobile service isn't that great. I daily drive through areas with zero service and I have almost no service at my house so we utilize WIFI Calling.
I have been finding for the past few months that when I return to an area of good service (phone showing full bars of 4G or 4G LTE) that I cannot move any cellular data. If I reboot the phone then everything works again for a while. I have tried to toggle into airplane mode and back but this does not help, only a full reboot helps.
Does anyone else get this? Its very annoying to have to reboot the phone when I need to use cellular data. Appreciate some input. Phone is NOT rooted and running the latest available software from T-mobile

It happens all the time for me. I've not been able to figure out why it happens, but I've seen some speculation in other threads where people think it can break when switching between H+, 4G, LTE, etc. Some people have reported that switching to airplane mode and back fixes it, but it doesn't work for me. Only a reboot will fix it for me.
Here is another thread with some discussion on it:

Thanks for the response. I'm not happy to hear it appears to be happening to everyone. I wonder if any of the carriers have reported this to Samsung?
I cleared the cache partition on my phone 2 days ago and I've been good since...that doesn't mean it fixed it but its been a while since I had 2 good days!
THIS HAPPENS TO ME OMG!!! I thought I was going crazy... it happens quite often in NYC where we travel by subway underground... Switching to Airplane mode then back indeed fix it majority of the time, but it doesn't work sometimes...
Also, this happens when i am on Wifi for extended period of time, and then leave WiFi, the phone will show 4G LTE but wont' push any data.
Going into Phone status will show that you have no IP Address...
edit: btw, i've done an exchange with Tmobile, and still happens on the phone, Swapped SIM card as well, doesn't solve the problem. T-Mobile ran diagnosis, and found nothing wrong. I suspect it might be T-Mobile's network configuration...
Also, I can almost 100% reproduce this when I am playing a game that requires periodic connection (like loading acount info), and then playing in the subway while doing data connection between subway station (we have internet at the station, but not in the tunnel) will break my 4G LTE data connection...
