hi, i have a WFS A510e marvel with S-On, rooted. every time i try to install a custom rom in recovery mode it says that install complete but then stucks on htc white screen and never moves forward. i mailny use to wipe data/reset then wipe cache partition and then wipe dalvik cache and then installing a custom rom.
Any one please guide me on this
Uh, try using superwipe, it may help. If it doesn't then it might be a problem with your rom.
Which rom are you trying to install?
perfectly done?
have you performed all steps properly ??
nandroid backup?
wipe cache
advance wipe dalvik cache !!!!
Try format system partition?
-create correct partitions
-wipe data,cache,dalvik cache twice
-install superwipe
-again,wipe all twice
-install your rom and wait max 10 minutes
If i helped you,click "Thank's" button.have a nice night.

go to Hboot menu and do a Factory reset. (after flashing Custom Rom)
Got similiar problem, only EQDKP roms are working fine, tried cm7.2, 9 and Fresh Ice rom [which i want the most] and always stuck.
After installing the rom make cache wipe and dalvik cache wipe than reboot your phone... and for the first start you might have to wait around 10 to 15 minutes...

Are you sure you did everything as in the instructions? First partition to ext4 + linux swap, then install rom, boot and install data2sd. It works for me.
Anyway, we NEED someone knowledgable to try to fix this problem.

Nope! Just the ROM and the gapps! First tried jordfaz CM9.1 and then MiniCM9! Same problem occurs! But I found out something strange! When I connect my PC to USB, then the HOME button works! But when I disconnect it, the problem reoccurs! Maybe something is wrong with the flashing! Will try again around 2-3 times then report about it!

Are you using minicm9? Because this rom is ported from x10 mini so there may be some bugs related to softkeys. Try flashing another rom.

I really think something is wrong with the phone! I tried different kinds of ROMs!
Jordfaz's ROMs:
CM 9.1: soft-keys not working and Google Play is not there!
MiniCM9: same problem!
Non-Official CM9 of ErwinP:
Stucks at bootscreen!
RemPuzzle of kylon:
Stucks at white HTC screen!
AAAARGHHGHG!
ok i think this problem occurred to me due to custom mtd.It happned to me when i set system partition less than what rom takes.Increasing system size and then doing a reflash always worked with me.That's all i had to offer sadly.
Hello guys,
It's my first question to the forum. I hope you can give me a clue resolve this problem.
I bought a Note 2 SGH i317 some days ago.
It was my first root but with your trheads everything was ok (for some days).
I tried JediX, Custom Rom 4.2.5 and some other.
But after tried some custom roms, I noted that when I flash any rom the phone stucks on Samsung Galaxy Note II screen and I have to pull out the battery to turn off the phone.
I tried with many others roms and all did the same.
Later I realized that the flash process was very fast compared to the first ones, so I guess the flash proccess fails in some instance.
I returned to stock rom and root it again with same results.
I tried with CVM and TWRP.
I can restore some nandroid backups to get the phone working, but can't flash any rom now!
Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks in advance.

Hi.
Yes. I did every step.
Sometimes I wipe both before and after flashing rom.
In some cases I format /system also.
I'm thinking in format some special partition/folder, but I don't know where to start or if it will works...

If flashing stock rom doesn't help, your internal memory might be corrupted, and might need to format it through recovery.
It's not a sure thing but it's another option to troubleshoot your problem. If you're gonna try that, make sure to backup all your stuff

I think that something like that is the real problem.
Must I format /storage/sdcard0 or format everything except my external card?
By the way, how can the internal memory becames corrupt?

It's hard to say what made it corrupt (if at all, remember, this is only an assumption). Could've been an app that caused it, could've been flashing a custom rom, and something went wrong during the flashing process.
If you're using twrp (which i highly suggest you do), in the 'wipe' menu there's an option to wipe internal sd. DON'T FORGET! before you do this make a nandroid backup and keep that backup on your external sd, or on your computer. Also, backup all your stuff, like pictures, music, etc.

The only thanks you could give is just hitting the thanks button on my answers to you. But you don't really have to, it's entirely up to you. If you think my responses are helpful to you, then by all means ... In order to close a thread you could ask a moderator to do so. I'm not sure you're obligated to do so.
Btw, if cwm gives you an md5 error, could be most likely because you changed the name cwm has originally assigned to that backup. To solve this, just change it to what it was. If you didn't change the backup name, you could try going into advanced menu in cwm and toggle signature check to disable

Okay, so I bought the n7 v2, went home, unlocked the boot loader, and rooted it. I've tried to flash versions of vanir I built my self, the betas that are posted here on the forums, and I also tried carbon ROM. Every time I flash a ROM, my device bootloops, so I just hold power + vol down to get to boot loader mode so I can boot into recovery. Any fix for this? I've tried flashing a stock IMG and re rooting to. No luck.

you should've mentioned that in your original post. id try to reflash to complete stock and start all over. it seems like something you modified in the first rom you've flash isn't being removed from another flash,so going back to stock, you can be sure everything is working first.hope this helps

Did you boot into the tablet after unlocking the bootloader but before rooting it? If not, try formatting data (not factory resetting) in recovery. I had the same experience and my sdcard never got populated with the default folders and files, remaining at 0MB. Apparently, symptoms of this problem include being unable to factory reset from recovery, being stuck on the splash screen, and having TWRP demand a password.

I'll try that, maybe its because I restore my data after I wipe it that this happens. Another thing I've found is that after I flash and the restore my system partition that I backed up, su says that no subject binary was found, even though I've flashed it a million times. And some root apps don't work because it says no binary is found.
