[Q] Cyanogen 6.1 Google Account Sync

Sooo I updated to Cyanogen 6.1 with ROM manager, and now it's not giving me the option to sync my Google account to get my contacts, GMail, etc. when I go to Accounts & Sync. Am I missing something, or what do I need to do? Thanks.

You need to download gapps seperatly

Why wouldn't someone go and download the official gapps package at http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip?
Cyanogen was asked by Google to not include these [in their rom], but most people flash gapps right behind their CyanogenMod install.

Fair enough. Thanks for the compilation(s). Hope they solve some people's data problems.

Because they had errors when using alquez's cm 7.2 port. Most files from here are from a HTC wildfire s rom.

No errors here with the latest gapps package.
Ran CM7.2 package
Gapps package
remove app2sd package
Booted up got the google account sign in.
Got the pub.google option, etc..
Up and running with all my stuff installed and wifi still running... (crosses fingers)

Same here, nothing wrong with the gapps package at all.
Got them from the link in Alq's thread.

Maybe not for you, but some people - like myself- have had data problems with market, gmail, etc. This is for them if you don't want it don't get it

I had data issues too, but it was definitely specific to the earlier build.
Latest build is perfect and fully stable.
For me anyway.

Just one question...
What does GAPPS contain/s?

Why would you bump this? This is from before I developed anything

Looking for advice on Inverted gapps for nexus 7

Has anyone been using inverted apps ie: contacts, drop box, gmail, calendar etc on their nexus 7? If so can you lead me in the right direction?
If it helps I'm using paranoid android 1.9.7 rom. I've seen themes which invert the apps however I'm looking for just a couple apps to be inverted; I'd like to choose

I actually am on the same rom (PA 1.97) and I am having troubles with my Gapps. I can't seem to install calander and a few others that came with the device after I rooted it. Tried a few times but got nothing. I am using the 07-26 Gapps for JB too, which by what I can find is the most recent version of it. Maybe I should go back to Gapps on the earlier build and I will have more luck but if you have any solutions please let me know! Thanks

Hi Vanka,
What does it say when you install gapps. Does it say flashes successfully? When in android, do you see the play store? It might be possible you have a bad downloaded file of the gapps. Try another download and see if that works. Let me know...

Inverted gapps for CM10 nightlies?

Hi,
Just switched to cm10 ROM.
What inverted gapps are working best with cm10 nightlies and are always up to date with cm10?
I'm interested in: mms, email, gmail, contacts, play market.

I installed the zip on top of CM10 121010 nightly.
Nothing worked. All apps are still white.
Restored nandroid backup back to original nightly.

[Q] {4.3 ROM] google account issue ... anyone else?

Hi,
i tried the DrKetan and the Echoe ROM that are both great, but i have the same issue on both ... i can add 2 google account to sync ... but when i add 3 account, my Note2 forget all google account (the one i just added, and the 2 other) ...
i tryed many time, reboot and such but i can't have my 3 account like i had in 4.1.2 ...
any one else have or had this issue, and maybe a fix ...

i use hurricane touchwiz rom 4.3 and i have the same problem, problem is not in 3 accounts for me but in reboot, whenever i reboot, sometimes every time, sometimes every second time, i loose my google account, phonebook etc.. and have to login again
flashed new gapps, nothing changed

If you still on my rom
Flash v2 that already have it inbuilt
Also remove sns.apk

did that, didnt help a lot.

I think i will also wait the V3 version of your rom mister Ketan
and hope it will be ok after that ... i don't have "unwanted" reboot issue... and when i shutdown, and start my device, i still have my 2 account ...
really strange with the same leaked rom, not everyone have the same trouble ...
PS: i did a complete WIPE before flashing ROM (from recovery phil ... "wipe clean for new rom flash")
EDIT : ok i had to re configure google account after shutdown ... account disapear 10 min after the reboot ... i'm not so lucky ... but good news : we all have the same trouble ...
maybe the ROM have some "clean" effet because it's not official ...
