Emulator games for the zte blade
Gameboid

GBA BIOS (put in /sdcard)

If anyone tests any other emulators ( n64, snes, etc) please post along with overclock and mods (if any) and I'll add then to the OP
Has anyone got gba games working on the blade? My emulator just shuts down when I load a ROM

What emulators do you use?

I tried GameBoid, Mojo GBA and Tiger GBA. All just shut down immediately after loading the rom
Sent from my Supernatural Blade
I played Pokemon Zaffiro (the italian version of Pokemon Sapphire) and Jet Set Radio (the GBA spinoff) without any problems with GameBoid 2.4.7 from SlideMe.
What rom have you tested? Did you put the gba bios on your SD Card and loaded in the emulator first?

emulators are softwares which make a program or a game made for other devices run on others devices like a GBA emulator for PC,androidetc
there are emulators which emulate PSP,GBA, nintendo ds,PS1,PS2 games on your PC.
many emulators exist for android

Onlive isnt that thegame cloud service ?
Sent from my Nexus One using xda premium
Yep. Is it really possible for a mobile device to support Xbox games?
i never tried it mate it could be possible since you do not play the game from your phone but think of it as a teamviewer on mobile playing on their cloud service i think it could be possible
Hmmm. Wouldn't that be awesome? Imagine playing God of War 3 on a Blade

Gameboy Emulators with Wiimote Controller
I use Gameboid a fair bit, mostly to relive a bit of pokemon one thing I use more than I expected to is an app called Wiimote Controller, it pairs up a Wii controller via Bluetooth and sets it up as a virtual keyboard.
Didn't think it would work very well but It really makes the games feel a bit more authentic.
It works like a dream with Gameboid on my Blade running CM 7.1 and the app's available on Google Play
This is a great app
I already play Pokemon Fire Red and Emerald. And it work fine just like a real GBA
We can use gameshark with the app
To be perfect only need one thing.....wi-fi conection to play with other devices and change Pokemons xD

I've read about using a Wii remote to play games on the phone, but I'm not able to find a working app for the G2. Has anyone found one that works on an emulator? If so, what emulator are you using and what wiimote app did you find?
I use Rwiimote I think its called, from market, works great. I'm using VISIONary and snes emulator. Played mario for almost an hour the other day using this

Greetings from another SLC resident.
I had too much invested in my 8bit NES games to get a SNES system, so the only Nintendo games I'm even familiar with are the old ones. (I'm old. lol) Will those play on an SNES emulator? If so, then I'll give that a shot. Now if I could only find a NDS emulator I'd be all set!
Awesome don't see many people close on big forums like this lol. I see there's NESoid in the market. Lite and full. Full let's you save/load save states. Id reccomend that since its on phone. I always play mario or something whiile waiting then gotta quickkly pack up and go so that's nice.
Agreed on the NDS emulator lol. Best one I've seen is playstation, I bet the g2 could handle that but seems a bit much to me lol

the psx emulator works awesome on the g2. no lag. though i heard people having alot of problems with the wiimote app.
I haven't had trouble yet  to me it seems the psx has too many controller buttons to map to a phone is my hesitation
I haven't looked into this at all yet but is there any way to bluetooth a PS3 controller to a G2 to use with PSX emulator?
I use this: http://www.appbrain.com/app/wiimote-controller/com.ccpcreations.android.WiiUseAndroid
I was thinking PS3 or 360 controllers too

I use this too.
It works really nicely with psx4droid if you have a wii classic controller.
On NES though, you can just use the wiimote and map it within NESoid's settings.
i use the wiiclassic controller and i use wii controller ide or something like that. never had any problems with the program.

I've go the same setup. With snesoid.
Heres the original thread for the Wiimote app.

for ps3.... if your a dev, you might be able to craft something up. Only support I found was for Windows Mobile
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=689984
I dont see any problems with ps games, once you overclock that is.
Goodluck, and let me know if you figure out a way to get the ps3 controller working lol... i really hope someone is working on this for Android....
I need some help. I'm using SNesoid Lite and Wiimote. I get the wii controller
to work and i set the buttons in SNesoid, but when i start the game the wii
controller doesn't work Anyone have any ideas why. my phone is still stock
I waiting to root when CM 6 comes out. thanks for any help.
There is a option in snesoid to enable rem remote controls. It's in other settings, use input method.

you can also use sony's psone emu. but you need psxperia tool first which i'll post a link later
also FPSE for psone and for SNES, Snes9x EX is available for free from http://www.explusalpha.com/home/snes9x-ex/downloads
not sure if ScummVM can be considered to be an emulator, but if you are (or were) a fan of good old lucas arts classic adventures like indiana jones, full throttle or day of the tentacle then this is a must-have!
Mupen64plus is a decent N64 emulator, and it's optimised for the Xperia Play. You can grab it from this thread.

My son has a Xperia play, I was going to have a mess with an emulator on it "for old times sake"
It's not rooted or anything like that, is there a simple way to get an emulator working, not too technical and which is best?
Cheers
What console do you want to emulate?
Sent from my R800i using XDA
Depends on what you want to emulate. FPSE is great for psx
sorry should have said
not sure really, whatever is the best, smoothest out there really?
I came from Commodore 64, Amiga, but anything really, I want to show my son some "classic" games from when I used to play, and maybe some newer ones, PS1 possible?
also as a side note, I currently have a HTC Sensation XE, wil these work on my phone or only the Xperia Play?
cheers
You can find Commodore 64, PS1, Gameboy & gameboy advance emulators that work on most phones. Just search for them on Google Play

they will work on the Sensation
another good emulator is MAME4droid
I don’t have a clue!
Dosbox turbo is a great port of Dosbox on android. Xperia Play optimized. I'm currently playing at wolf3d and Master of Orion 2 (steam and gog releases, respectively).
I'm after a particular game to work on my XE and sons Xperia play, am I allowed to name the game and ask which emulator is best for it please?
yes cause you can, fire away your just not allowed to post warez and where you got them from

Ok great do I need to get snesx9 them for lemmings 1 & 2? I thought they were on Amiga to though.
How's the control method? I'm hoping its touch, ie touch a climber icon, then touch a lemming?
snesx9 is free just search on google and yea they are on amiga to but its so much easier to get them working with the snes emulator
Can't find snesx9 on play store. Also forgot to say both my XE and sons Xperia Play are standard non rooted, not sure if this makes a difference?
I can find snesdroid, does it make a difference which emulator is used?
I mean search on google in your phones web browser u will find snes9x you can use snesdriod but the games lag ,non root will be fine

Ah sorry. I've never installed anything other than from the Google play store.
Is there none on the play store that run fine?
snesdroid will run it ok just download all the free snes emulators and try them all and keep the one that works best then just delete the others
Any ideas about NES, SNES, and Sega emulators?
Do they work on the Nexus 7, where to get games and which are the best emulators.
I just fancy a bit of Super Mario
There is a new nds emulator on the market search for Dsoid. It runs great.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
Search for slideme market and download that too your nexus 7. Then in that market look for nesoid, snesoid, all made by yonghz or something like that. Ask free and really good.
For roms just Google for them
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Snes9x EX for best Snes emulator.
Snes9x EX is awesome, I can pair multiple wiimotes inside the emulator in a flash! Had fun playing killer instinct, bomber man and mario kart with a friend on a 7 hour drive.
I'm working on getting my 2 sixaxis controllers to work on n64oid for multiplayer but i need a Bluetooth keyboard to map the keys inside n64oid
Wanted to play Mario Kart on this with a Wiimote
What is the best Emulator to use for it?
What about the best PSX Emulator? I have been wanting to play FFVII again
FPse best PSX emulator by far
I'm crazy about Commodore 64 and have found the Frodo to be the best emulator out there. However, it has an arrow style joystick rather than the analog psx style which makes it painful to play games.
Is there another C64 emulator that has the analog stick?
Snesoid, gensoid and gameboid are great and FREE! They where taken off the market so just google them FPse is also great for ps1 games (one of my fave)
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Gameboid is a pretty good emulator.
If you do anything other than the following, you're doing it all wrong.
Download SlideMe here:
http://slideme.org/
search for "Yongzh"
Download all of the emulators.
all of the other ones are just rip offs of his, and the reason they havent been updated in a long time is that they do everything flawlessly
Robert Broglia emulators are the most accurate. His .emu range is in the Play store, just search for the author!
If you want to see for yourself, you can get his snes emulator for free from his website: http://www.explusalpha.com

I'd say very unlikely as the C64 itself didn't support an analog joystick, just analog paddles.

Yeah, the C64 joysticks were actually just directional buttons that the stick pressed on.
snes emulator
Very nice, and cool roms has all games - works flawlessly on my Nexus 7.

TTT - none of yong's emulators work on my 7. GameBoid kind of works but eventually locks up, Gensoid doesn't ever play. SNESoid doesn't work either. I wonder if they need to be recompiled for 4.1?
Anyone else experience same issues? yong's emulators were the best in the market. Still are as far as i'm concerned. They're still relevant to this day and do everything any emulator should do.
I've only tried Ataroid from Yongzh and that plays fine with a Sixaxis controller.
ePSXe is by far the best PSX emulator on the market, and works fine on the Nexus 7 too.

Did Ouya play store take emulators down? I was thinking about buying one but may not of this is the case. I know you can sideload but..

Not that I can see, also there are plenty of free emulators on the ouya store that run every bit as good as other 'paid' emulators.
The exception in my findings is that epsxe for android is far superior to other playstation emulators on the platform (also they support ouya out of the box).
Robert Broglia is the name to remember with emulators at the mooment.
Mupen64 is good but if you can find a 2.7 version of n64oid, it works even better for n64 games..
Retroarch android has many of these emulators built into the system and it is open source and free.

Cheers Danny.
I dunno. I paid for several of them. I was playing my GBA emulator of Final Fantasy 5 last night. All of my Emulators were on there. Actually they just updated the "Stock" NES/SNES/Atari Emu (it's weird though)
Ouya plays roms like a champ! The GBA emulator works flawlessly as does all the SNES roms I've tried. The SNES emulator is very jazzy and grabs all of the cover art automatically. I haven't used the "stock" version because you have to throw everything into a "Roms" file on the internal storage I think. I like my roms separated by console.
