Dremcast Emulator - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi everyone. Is there any emulator for dreamcast. I serched but i couldn't find.

There was going to be one but it was cancelled due to no one helping the dev. Just get OnLive and the Dreamcast Collection.
On the upside, there's a Saturn emulator on the horizon once framerate issues have been sorted

There's plenty of emulators out there for different consoles:
NES
SNES
Gameboy/Colour/Advance
MAME
Neo-Geo/Pocket
Megadrive/Genesis
Master System/Gamegear
DOS
They are all available from the Play Store. I wont provide any links or APKs so don't ask

Its completely legal to provide links to apps on the Play Store....

Didn't mean for Play Store links
I meant for the APKs.
All he has to do is type NES for instance into the Play Store and the emulators show up
I need to start wording things better haha

Dreamcast is not been ported to android (emu) only one person did, he posted a series of youtube videos but then discontinued his work and never made a source code public .
This is the key factor why no one has made a dreamcast emu for android because it woould have to be made from scratch. But if you want to have fun you should try make a 8-bit emulator I have done this and moved on to gennisis but still stuck at it I proberly wont release it because its just a hobby for making stuff.
But if I make a google account I might make it free and open.

Chainfire3D used to make THD specific Games Work

Hi,
Are you tired of knowing your Tab is powerful enough to play Tegra 2 specific (THD) games? But you dont pass the hardware inspection? Duh, we dont have Tegra 2!
I just wanted to show you this, I did not write any of the programs or software, but by using it I am now playing SamuraiII Vengeance THD on my Galaxy Tab
I am running 2.3.3 latest overcome. I have a USA T-Mobile Galaxy Tab
What you need.....
To be ROOTED!!!!
Chainfire3D - free version on Market, but I recomend purchasing the paid pro app, support the Dev, and as I use paid app, can only confirm it works on that.
Plugin to emulate that you have a Tegra2 located here....
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/29538831/libGLEMU_NVIDIA.zip
Place on root of SD card
Many thanks to ChainFire for writing this awsome program...... Chainfire3d
visit thread here.....http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1087427, Don't forget to hit HIS thanks button while there.
Now that you have installed Chainfire3D, re-open it and go to install plugins. It will find the Tegra plugin.
Instal it.
General Settings, use tegra plug in.
Now you have to get a THD specific game, and as there isnt a way to buy it any from the market, you have to purchase from each specific games online website.
Drag, I know, but we are getting there.
I have Samurai II v1.0 fully working.
DO NOT PURCHASE BANG BANG RACING!!!!!! It needs specific hardware that cannot be emulated at this point.
HIT THE THANKS BUTTON IF I HAVE HELPED IN ANYWAY!!!!!!
As I get more Games confirmed working, I will update thread. Can you all help? Buying all THD games can be pricey for one person.
Confirmed working:
Samauri II
Riptide
Pinball thd
Fruit ninja thd
Backbreaker thd

Best Gameboid ROMs?

What games do you guys enjoy playing on the Gameboid Emulator?
I play Pokemon Gold, but I'm bored of it now and fancy something new.
Also, any other games you recommend? Not just for emulators.
Thanks.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
You talk about Gameboid or GBCoid? You mention Gameboid, but then you say you're playing Pokemon Gold, so that's a contradiction since that's a game for GBCoid.
It would be easier if you had asked for best GBA games or best GBC games.
My top GBA games? Pokemon Emerald/FireRed/LeafGreen, Zelda Minish Cap, Advance Wars, Wario Ware Inc.

I Totally agree with this. There are people asking hundreds of questions in the general thread. This is way too better than this. Right?
The thread you linked to is a general list of games that hasn't been updated in ages. This guy is just suggesting best time killer games.
Would be better if you added play store links to the OP.
I can add Ski Safari and Jetpack Joyride to the list, as well as spheres vs cubes
Hill Climb Racing, playstore link:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fingersoft.hillclimb&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5maW5nZXJzb2Z0LmhpbGxjbGltYiJd
Its also one of the best time killing games, and addictive!! add to the OP.
I suggest 3 more:
Continuity 2
Radiant (the spaceship game)
Radiant defence (tower defence) (both games from the same company and really well designed)
Air Control / Air Control Lite
Could we recommend emulators too?
Fpse for sure then,myBoy and Nes.emu for me!
Maybe the op could add them all up and create a list of smashing games...
This are my favs (really awesome games that are really worth to buy):
Amazing Alex
Beyond Ynth
Contre Jour *Specially recommended*
Critter Scape
World of Goo
Cut the rope
Where´s my Perry?
Where´s my water?
Save the puppies
Osmos HD
one that's got me hooked recently
Battle Cats
amazing games

Damn... emulators are always welcome, but not the controls for PS1 emulators
I tried to play Syphon Filter with FPSe ---> unplayable. Need a PS3 control right now!!
(btw, there's any to link with a wireless XBOX 360 controller? I never found a way, if someone knows, please tell)

[Q] What country code to use to buy PS1 titles?

OK, so I know that $ony in their infinite wisdom has removed all PS1 titles from the store. If this were true why are they still listed?
I have gone through and test about 25 market enabler codes from this link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=797625
And tried to see which code will allow me to buy Wipeout... so far none work. They all say "Not available in your country". So I am wondering if there are any countries that can still access these games:
Syphon Filter 1:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sony.playstation.NCEA01910_0
Syphone Filter 3:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sony.playstation.NCEA03697_0&feature=related_apps
MediEvil:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...laystation.NCEA00311_0&feature=also_installed
Destruction Derby:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...laystation.NCEA00008_0&feature=also_installed
Wipeout:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...laystation.NCEA00010_0&feature=also_installed
Anyone willing to test a few more? I will keep testing as well and report if I find any code(s) that work and allow users to buy these games. I used to use Roger from Canada and it worked but that is no longer the case.
Forgot to add:
Wild Arms:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...29tLnNvbnkucGxheXN0YXRpb24uTkNVQTk0NjA4XzAiXQ..
All of them work for me here in the UK ozzman except for Wild arms

You mind if I ask which carrier in the UK you are with? I would like to try that one. I did try a few other UK ones prior to posting this thread, but they were all a no go. Thanks for letting me know..

Out of interest has anyone noticed how jerky wipeout is from the play store? Might have to try an ISO for psxperia as every other psxperia game I have converted is smooth!

I have tried so many codes, even going to the extent of using Docomo and my Japanese VPN to see if JPN has access... each time resulting in a "Not available in your country". Even with about 30+ codes tested (not kidding)
For now I am taking a break, I might try again this weekend.
Whats the point, Sony is not even pushing the Playstation brand onto android devices.

NeoGeo CD Emulator?

Okay, so I know there are several neogeo emulators thatbwe can use. But does anyone know of a NeoGeo CD emulator? I know this is probably a silly question as many if not all neogeo cds were cartridge based. But just curious.

Bump!
I too am looking for a NeoGeo CD emulator
None existed. Because the actual console had slow wait time and it will be emulated in the emulator.
