MIUI ICS and MiLocker EVO 4G - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can MiLocker be used with MIUI ICS it's say it's on the phone but will not and can't be updated. Plus can't used any lockscreen themes. But it can be used on other ICS Rom's like Deck and Kang wants the deal with that......

I'm not sure how that app works but isn't it that you download a theme and load it in the app? Because if that's the case you can just place it in the theme folder somewhere within MIUI and it will show up. Idk about the location of the folder. Haven't been on MIUI in a while. Hope that helped a little

Thanks for the quick reply dude.
Went back MIUI Gingerbread 2.3.2_b1_swiper_rootlinux built it's very stable and my daily driver. Plus has some good benchmark with AuTuTu. AOKP, Darklight_V2 and Deck's ICS with HWA are higher but not all that stable for me as a daily driver yet.

are you able to see it when you go to setting>applications? if you can then uninstall it and re install it. if you can't find it still go to into root explorer or any other root permission file explorer and navigate to data/app and see if you can find a .apk with the picture of the milocker app. it should say com.blah.moreblah.maybesomemoreblah.apk and delete that file. other wise all i could recommend is a reflash

With AuTuTu Deck and AOKP ICS marks are above 2500 at regular clock speeds.
And MIUI Gingerbread marks at regular clock speed was mid 2400 watch not too bad.

[Q] help adding dsp manager to rom???

ok i want to add dsp manager to the newest rendition of the savaged-zen (mod) rom. i have the apk for dsp manager but from what i have read you have to either flash a zip, adb, or replace using root explorer the libaudio.so and the libaudioflinger.so files in the system/lib folder of the phone (i grabbed to files need from deck's rom so i can replace using root explorer since it worked there perfect...). so i have flashed a zip that i found on another forum and it distorted the sound and made it sound terrible. i tryed replacing them in root explorer and then the phone wouldn't boot. and since i don't know how to adb that is kind of out of the question.
so does anyone have the zip neccesary to make the app work correctly on the gb rom (2.3.4). my collection of techno doesn't sound the same without it
p.s. i just set up my phone/computer to adb so if someone could find the files and tell me what to type to push the files to my phone that would help to
umm.. did you try just adding the apk and not the libs and test? and.. if that didn't work. what sense rom is savaged? and is it gb? you can try the libs from one of those roms.
There's an app on the market called "Equalizer". Does pretty much the same thing, just more settings. Did you try the DSPManager thread?

It is not from the dev, but includes a flashable zip. It does say it should work on any 2.2 rom, but that's before 2.3 was out.
It was in the Evo themes & apps section.

what apps to include in a rom?

I'm making a new rom, so what apps do you prefer to be included in a rom?

Dropbox, ES File Explorer, an un-installer, Sketchbook Mobile, Titanium Backup, ROM manager...
Root uninstaller app, Launcher PRO
(all of these are freeware)

I agree all of them are good, buit dont fill the rom up with apps but Titanium backup, rom manager and some kind of file explorer would be very handy.
Just a tip, i think this thread is more 'general' than development
The best launcher is Sense Ui lancher. Fastest of all

In which case:
ES file explorer as the file explorer, Super Manager as the root explorer, LP as the launcher.

Zeam Launcher, delete any other launcher! MUST DELETE NOW!!!
AdFree
SD-Booster
SetCPU
and also, make sure its based on 2.3.4
I think devs aren't allowed to include SetCPU in roms, because it's a paid app...

yeah!
I believe there's a same question thread is going on or it's a similar one.
But I'll answer you:
3G Watchdog and APNDroid.
Ghost Commander.
AdFree Android, Busybox, Rom Manager and Titanium Backup
Voice Search.
Updated versions of Google/HTC apps.
Live Wallpapers.
Flash 10.3 (I don't know if its possible) and Air.
Flash and air dont support arm v6 but flash lite from the stock roms wouldnt hurt

Installing flash. If it will harm my phone I won't do, if it will harm my current ROM I will take a Titanium Backup. So do you think its harmful?
It's not harmful per se, but, its totally pointless.
I think Launcher Pro is the best launcher!
Things to be included in a rom that I could use:
- Sense dialer/contacts/friendstream
- Flash lite
- DSP Manager
- OC kernel
- JIT enabled
- batt for at least 48h
All other things doesnt matter, since you can install in any rom.

Don't want to flash FB27 kernel.
Will wait till we get repack for FC06.
But it's a good list. Now we won't breack anything trying to figure out what apps can be removed safely.
Thanks a lot.
Thank you! I will be flashing this soon as well.
If I flash the FB27 kernel so I can get CWM, can I then flash your format all, flash FC06 ROM, flash modem FC05, and this Bare ROM Converter all in one session?
Oh very nice! Although, I guess this is an all or none deal eh? In other words, if I want the digital clock for example, I'd have to push it back after flashing. Still a big time saver though. Thanks for doing this Calk.
Edit - Oh nevermind. You can just pull out the updater script, modify it and put it back. Sweet!

This is useful, thanks.
Since there are still many more applications that can be removed (depending on the users preferences), can you share any insight on how to determine the impact of removing an application? I mean, trial and error obviously, but are there specific errors to watch for in logcat? Or anything along those lines? My goal would be to remove as much as possible from the ICS builds, but still maintaining essential functionality.
Mr Calk, every day you come up with some so simple and yet so useful lol. Much appreciated! thanks
Calk, would this make a stock room just as bare as your barebones roms? Or more? Or less? Thanks.
