[Q] Boot Animation Sounds Issue - EVO 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I have an HTC evo supersonic running Cyanogenmod 7.2 rc. I already replaced my splash screen and my boot animation. But for some reason the sound that I renamed 'android_sound.mp3' doesn't play on boot.
I saw another website with directions for another phone running an older version of Cyanogenmod. But couldn't make heads or tails of it. To put it plainly. It confused the heck out of me.
Can someone tell me what I did wrong. In layman's terms? The boot animation link is

Get stock boot animation?

Hi everyone, I changed my boot animation using the app Boot Animation Changer. However now I need to return my phone to the store so I kind of need to get it back to the original boot animation. With the app I did "Stock animation" however it's not the right animation lol.
Is there anywhere I can get the stock boot animation to put on my phone, and how to do so with/without the app?
Thanks everyone

<ps, search first>
Great topic, but it doesn't provide the stock boot animation like I'm looking for, only the means to change the boot animation. I tried to search for it actually, but couldn't find anything in regards to finding the original EVO boot animation.
Anyone? Can't seem to find the stock animation.
^^; Doesn't anyone have a backup they could provide?
here is the stock bootanimation: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=VMX4Z1ZG
you could also find it on any rom that uses stock bootanimation like DC (extract the zip file, go to resources>customize> and the bootanimation.zip should be there)

Oh I had no idea about it being on the ROMs, that would've been a lot easier. Thanks.
Though now with the new OTA I'm somewhat afraid to replace my phone, might just stick with my phone and the light leak as long as it doesn't get any worse.

[Q] Quick question regarding CM7 and custom boot animation

Hello all,
Well I am currently using CM7 [build 12, downloading 13 as I type] but my question is I want to change from the Cyanogenmod animation, not that its bad, but I like my own. I have previously changed animations before and also changed my splash screen, so I know how to change them, though I am using CW3, I have tried some that were edify compatible, and clockwork says it flashed, but once re-booted, it is still Cyanogen. I have tried manually flashing, adb, and the "pushboot" method. I also changed the animation zip file in the rom, to the animation of the Android scribble and then re-flashed it. The image changed from Cyanogen, but it was just a Android in metalics that flashed, not the above image. Can anyone help me? Thank you in advance.
Hmm.. I have no issues changing my boot animations on cm7..
So not sure why its not working for you but make sure your file is named bootanimation.zip and that your installing it to.. system/media/

[Q] Animation Manager APP

I have searched high and low with no results. Could someone please explain or link me to what Animation Manager App does? I flashed Task' latest build of 4.2.1 onto a brand new ATT S3 with TWRP recovery. I changed the keyboard animation to TeamDerp Theme having no clue what it might do. Flashed the new zip it created and rebooted. Went into the keyboard and didn't see anything different.
All it does is change the transition animations. Its pretty obvious but maybe not. Search tasks thread and you'll absolutely find more info

[Q] CM10.1 Theme icons help

I'm running CM10.1 on my (Verizon) Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
I just recently put CM on it and have been messing around with a few themes and boot animations. Everything was just fine.
While trying to create my own boot animation and use it, though, something went wrong. The boot animation never fully ended and I could only see half of my homescreen when I was in landscape (portrait mode showed the full, frozen boot animation). So, after a few tries of rebooting to get it to go through, I wiped it completely and redid CM10.1 and GApps. This isn't the problem.
Now, for some reason, regardless of what theme I apply, the Camera and Gallery icons don't change. Even though I installed the same GApps and everything as the first time. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also, I apologize in advance if this is a dumb question or something of the sort. I'm a noob.

[Q] Help Removing Annoying Explosion Sound at Boot.

SO i have a Galaxy s3, my third one so far, and i again successfully rooted this one and flashed the newest JellyBomb Rom at the time, "JellyBomb Domination ver. 20.0.0" on Android Version 4.1.2 if it matters. I've always used my own custom boot animation, but this newer Rom version includes a very annoying Explosion sound at boot (which was never in sync with the JellyBomb Boot animation btw), ive deleted everything in System>Media with a file name having to do with boot, and even some others i had no idea what they might have been for cuz the names did not give anything away, But it still makes that god awful annoying Explosion sound at boot, only now its even more out of sync since im using my own boot animation, it makes an explosion sound after the boot animation is over now. Anyone know where i can find the files i need to delete to get rid of that super annoying boot sound? any help appreciated. It may also help to note that the "Audio Mods Control Panel" found in Settings>JellyBomb ROM Extras does not work, it force closes.
