Drop box allowance - HTC One X

Already had a DB account so how do I go about getting the 25 gig 2 year allowance upgrade
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium

I just logged in using my existing account details. Then received an email and went through the tutorial. Now have 30gb+ for free
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2

Got to www.dropbox.com/gs and complete 5 of the options, if you've already done 5 then just send them a message on support.
I had alredy completed 5 steps, I messaged them and they had it sorted out in an hour

For me no matter what I did, I couldn't get my existing dropbox account upgraded. I had already completed the getting started steps a while back.
I logged into dropbox with my secondary gmail account on my phone, received the email, followed the steps and got upgraded straight away.

I have not been able to get the free space. I have tried everything including all the steps above. I have contacted dropbox twice through different means and I still have yet to receive and response. Not happy.

Did you log into dropbox with a different account then unlink your pc and log in on that with this new account? Worked for me.

try login to dropbox app in your mobile phone, it works for me.
after i open the dropbox app, immediately i received an email about the upgrade.

No amount of tinkering, logging out then logging in through app / web, completing 6 out of 7 of the getting started items has got me the extra 23GB.
I contacted support on Monday, have had no response, not even an email acknowledging my initial message.

It took almost a week for me to get a response. Oh course it was a canned response. I hope I don't have to wait another week to hear back from them on my response.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2

If any of you used the leaked dropbox app which were floating around here last week, you won't get the extra gb of space added automatically.
I contacted support and they will reactivate the offer for my account, despite me being stupid and using 3rd party hacked apps
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA

I was a bit of a naughty boy and installed the hacked apk before I received the phone, Dropbox found out and removed the extra storage. Now Dropbox is giving me the cold shoulder treatment and haven't responded to my email. I know, I deserve. Oh well. I'll have to manage with the 10.8gb I already have.

I have completed 5 steps and got message that I now have 25GB, nice That was on existing account.

That's shocking that they never replied to you, I had a response from them in about 2 hours, guess I must of got lucky.

If you have a gmail account, it already does that, sorta. Photos will back up to G+/Picasa, apps are "backed up" with your play account, though their settings aren't. SMS won't get backed up. I usually just install titanium backup and have it do a full backup every friday night. That gets everything.
How do I go to the top of a webpage when I'm at the bottom of the page with a single touch/click?

Hi,
When you scroll down in Dolphin HD browser, you normally get an arrow pointing up on the bottom right of the screen. Touch it to go up to top.
Cheers!!
I cant do that in the default browser or chrome? Imagine scrolling all the way to the top from a multipage document!

People who purchase the new eligible Samsung Galaxy Camera and Galaxy Note II and complete the Dropbox get started guide (dropbox.com/gs) can get 50 GB free space for two years.

Try going to dropbox.com/gs in your device after installing Dropbox app and logging in. I am still waiting to receive my Note 2 and hence can't confirm this works.
does anyone know if the offer is stackable? got 50GB's from when i bought my S3, So i'm wondering if i'll get another 50 from the Note II
I'm in the same situation. They are not stackable.
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
+1 I received it once for my Note 10.1 but nothing for Note II!!! Disappointing! I did pay money for both of them!
If you have already claimed the offer from a previous Samsung device and wonder why you don't or have double the space here is your answer.
If you log on to your desktop version and go to your settings then bonus space , you will see that you already claimed the Samsung promotion, the promotion isn't model specified, its pretty much the original "Samsung Promotion" you received covers all the Samsung devices you activate. Each user is only eligible for one Samsung Promotion of this type for a single account.
https://www.dropbox.com/help/338
If you did get the bonus promo on your previous device and your new device don't get comfy cause you wont keep it for long. Dropbox is good good/fast at claiming double offers back.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
So if I availed of the bonus space on my s3 and log in on my note 2 years later then it will give me another 50gb for 2 years again?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
No you won't. Blah I edited that part out. Everything is explained in the dropbox website link I attached regarding the Samsung Promo. After the promo expires unless they run a new promo of some sort you automatically will be downgraded according to their promo terms. I will be claiming my Note II bonus space on a different email account and will just use shared folders between my two dropbox accounts.

Dropbox?

Is Dropbox offering 50gb free with this device or no?
Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2
Yes, I think I got 48 gb after signing into it
Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2
Same, took a few min after signing in, but it eventually kicks off an email letting you know about the added size.
I didn't get it because I got the same deal when I bought the S3. I bought a nexus 7 and was suppose to get it then, too, but didn't. I emailed Dropbox and they said my account is already associated with getting the 50gb once already, so no more for me.
Yes I got free 48gb on dropbox too. But I have no idea if it will stack if that's what you're asking.

[EDIT] I did NOT get my time extended, in fact I received nothing.

Free dropbox space?

SO I just got my Tab S, and when setting it up it said i'd get 50 free gigs of dropbox for 2 years. Well, I signed in, and nothing. I didn't seem to get it. has anyone else gotten theirs?

Did Dropbox come pre-loaded right out of the box?
I am guessing it did. I believe, but don't remember exactly - once you sign in to Dropbox with your new device they will send you an email. You have to follow the link in the email to get the free temporary upgrade.
yeah because during the samsung setup when i turned it on, it told me i got the 50 gigs for 2 years and asked me to sign in. i did, and nothing happened.

think i found the answer. that's such BS.
If you have already claimed free space from a previous samsung promotion you can't have another on the same account. You need to set up a new account.

You can create a new account and still get the 50gb. I did the same thing on my s5.

I only had 2Gb when I loaded the app and created an account, but I went through the 5 step process via the website to get the 48Gb upgrade just now, so seems like it should be possible to upgrade.
Send out mass invites and for each person that downloads the app ,you receive 500mb free space

Well, you're still gonna have to pay the 1.67$ per month, but you get all the office apps + the mentioned 1TB. More storage than you'll ever need. Finally time to turn on these automatic uploads . http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/university/

I wasted my 50 GB Drive storage by unlocking bootloader as soon as I got the phone

I lost it. It was a loss, but OK it happened.
But an idea just came to my mind! Will I be able to achieve 50 GB again if i relock my bootloader and go to 100% stock with s-on, recovery and everything? it obviously didn't register my google account, so there might be a possibility! Can anyone share their experience on how possible this theory is? any guesses?
I did the same thing, so don't feel too bad. I felt like an idiot, but on the same note... I'm not a fan of having storage that I know is going to "expire." I can't imagine anything i'd do with 50GB that I'll just lose in two years.
I just logged a support ticket and they sent me a link that activated it.
You don't need to go back to stock. Just relock and claim your 50gb. I did it and it worked. Or you can always open a support ticket playing dumb that you didn't receive your gigs
I'm getting my M8 tomorrow, so I'm playing catchup. So, I gather this is an HTC promotion. How does it work?
