I searched first, just need some help on which one is the official samsung battery, where to buy it, and to make sure it fits the GSM galaxy.
Thanks

The 2000mah battery is the one for GSM. Go on eBay and buy the ones that are like $37. Make sure it includes the extended battery cover, and the seller should be from Korea.
The Galaxy Nexus sold in Korea come with the Extended battery for free, so I guess this shop/seller just sells them all separately.

Thanks for the quick reply, does the extended lte battery and cover fit m

No. They are not at all compatibile. Different shaped batteries and the covers have different pins. You must get the 2000mAh GSM one.
i bought mine from shimshop on ebay and it is great!!!

I am on the LTE version and I've been seeing these 3800 batteries on eBay from China for the Galaxy Nexus (Prime) -- comes with a backcover.
Wondering if anyone has tried this?
Probably doesn't come with NFC built in...or does it?
What sort of life are you getting with this battery?
Does it feel sturdy, what are your reviews?
I have an Otterbox Defender with the official extended battery from Verizon in there. Don't want to lose the case but if this 3800 case and battery are truly amazing -- I would get a screen protector and the 3800 battery instead.
What do you guys think?
OR does this battery just mean that in a month Verizon or Samsung will have the same official version?
I'd like to, but don't want to sign up on ebay or paypal. I will wait until I can get one elsewhere.
I purchased a couple of batteries off eBay last night, a 3800, two 1900 and one of the 2000 + door from Korea, only the 2000 comes with NFC, when they eventually get here, I'll let you know how they hold up!
Edit: Noticed you are on the cdma nexus, however I assume the life will be comparable!

anyone know where to get this case for the galaxy nexus? here's the manufacture website but i dont think you can buy directly from them.

Its manufacture in ShenZhen. So I'm gonna keep a lookout for it in Dealextreme.

I am contacting their sales through QQ, and seeing whether I would be able to secure a review unit to show you guys.
It made sense for the iPhone but why for the GN? You can't just get a extended battery or swap it out?

This should be 2200mAH ontop of the internal battery.

yup this is an alternative to those 3500mah extended batteries. the only thing i would like to know about the case is if it as an on/off switch, i can see it killing the stock battery cycles if left on all the time.

It should be similar to other packs of similar purpose. It will constant charge the internal battery until depleted then the internal battery own power kicks. So in phone usage, you'd probably see 100% charged until the pack is depleted.
This is very interesting, also looks like it has the ringke slim case silhoutte that covers the top and button but leaves the sides exposed, i wonder how much bulk it will add to the back side, hope to see a review soon, was gonna buy the ringke slim but i guess I'll wait a few days...
Found this... anyone ever heard of china grabber?

just checked a few forums for chinagrabber and people are saying they are not the best place to buy from. i found it at pandawill too.
i found out it does have an on/off switch on the bottom of the case.

From where? The original post was for a site that you had to order in bulk.
Thanks in advance
I wanted one of these kind of cases so bad for my E4GT. Just bought a GSM nexus from the play store... I also bought one of these from ebay. Mostly good feed back.

I would like one of these cases as well. Not sure if it'll be compatable with the sprint version...

The sprint version is thicker so there is a decent chance it won't
can you guys post some pics and let us know how much thicker it makes the phone. debating between this and an usb external battery pack.
Will do. It says up to 15 business days, so it might be a while...

verizon/sprint tester
anyone buy this that has the LTE version? a Verizon or Sprint variant? i want to know if it fits and the overall profile on the phone. looks interesting!
Hi.
Has anyone tried to put this set to any case?
I do not like to wear the phone in pocket, should need something with Belt Clip and wonder if this kit would come to OtterBox Defender, PureGear Hard Shell Holster or any other case.
And by the way I ask because I do not see in the description.
Is the power pack will fit together with the extended battery 2000 mAh or just the stock 1750 mah?
Anyone can confirm if All Verizon Galaxy Nexus accessories are compatible with Sprint Galaxy Nexus?
They look like the same phone

agreed & hopeful, as i just ordered some screen protectors and cases.
all the accessories will work, but they are all ****. Wait till you can use the 3 prongs, as far as cases and **** yeah they work.
has anyone tried the Verizon extended battery on the Sprint model? It doesn't work on the GSM so might not work on the Sprint either.

my opinion is that gsm is a smaller model, verizon and sprint are cdma/lte/fatter model. i imagine everything should fit....

The Verizon extended battery cover does not fit the sprint galaxy nexus. I went to a Verizon store to see if it would, and the cover tabs do not align properly. You might be able to grind the one tab that is misaligned, but the cover wouldn't fit as snug. The battery looks like it fits, has nfc and the same electrical specs, but the part number is not the same for the 1850 mAh stock size.

Thanks, was just about to pull the trigger on one. Shame, I really want the 2100 mAh battery.
Sucks was hoping that the verizon battery will work on sprint. Guess have to wait then
So even though the Sprint and Verzion websites list slightly different sizes I would be fine getting this case? http://www.shopandroid.com/seidio-active-case-with-kickstand/4A54A9572.htm

The LTE Extended battery does NOT fit. As a previous poster said, the tabs on the back cover are different. Also, the cover is lighter in color. The sprint galaxy nexus is a dark titanium, where as the Verizon is a lighter titanium color. So we just have to wait for sprint to release there own version, if they ever do
As for the cases, those should all fit fine. I have the Rinke *sp* and that fits good. it snaps in perfectly, but since there is room for the extended battery, the lower back half has a little flex if pressed on.
I also have the incipio NGP and double cover, both fit perfectly
I just went to Verizon and got the car dock. Works and fits perfect..
Verizon accesories
My preordered phone arrived on Friday. I rushed out that evening to find a screen protector and case. I found the ZAGG screen protector at Best Buy but was disappointed with the case that they were offering. Luckily a Verizon store was across the street. I was offered 6 different cases. I went with an INCIPIO DOUBLE COVER. Fits like a glove.
Extended Battery
The cover does not fit but if you cut off the two little tabs it does fit. The extended battery does also work. I've been using the regular and the extended since Friday. It also works if you get the seidio extended BT Case Cover or the Ringke Slim Case CDMA version.
It looks better with the case on than the VZ cover. I hope sprints makes an Extended cover.
I hope this helps.
soooo.... pic 1 kinda looks like ass.... is that AFTER cutting the tabs????
i tried this myself in the verizon store it didnt look like it would fit right.
All those pics were taken after cutting the tabs.

Wow. If that's how the VZW back fits around the Sprint CDMA Camera, these two phones are vastly different in size.

I ordered the verizon extended battery and cover and cut the two tabs off, it works fine and does not look like it would come loose. I also ordered the siedo surface case for the Verizon phone with extended battery to hide the ugly verizon logo ;-)
Geoff
Don't suppose anybody out there would make a battery door that would fit the verizon battery, only instead of having the verizon logo, have the google logo like the GSM?

I use the original back with the extended battery. It fits with just a very tiny bit of bulge.
Came across an article (i would post it if I could) while looking for extended batteries without getting a thick hard case to hold it.
I also saw the other thread with the $5 slim battery on amazon but keep telling myself that I should go with the OEM over the chinese third party.
Is there another battery I should look at or should this be fine if I need to get around 12 hours out of it with medium to medium-heavy use?

Just make sure it fits the T-989. I know that we can use batteries from the G-Nex and a couple of other phones, but I do not know about the Nexus S.

You are talking about Samsung Galaxy Nexus right? Will the Galaxy Nexus' extended battery fit in the Galaxy SII? Does it need a special Galaxy SII back cover?

The article says the battery fits in the battery slot, but the stock cover doesn't fit. He also said that if you had the case, you could just leave the back cover off and let the case protect it.

It will fit but you need a cover.
which ext batteries fit this criteria?
which ext batteries out there either fit into the stock back door or will fit into a Trident Kraken case with a different backdoor?
i'm thinking the biggest i could go is 2100 mAh.
None. Generic extended batteries are inferior to the stock one and anything larger requires a larger back.

well i've seen on amazon the 2100 mAh battery is only marginally thicker than the stock one. seller says the otterbox defender case still fits on it, too.

You specifically asked about the stock door. Which won't work.
Gotcha. Should have clarified.

Take a look:
http://www.mugen-power-batteries.co...d-battery-for-samsung-galaxy-nexus-i9250.html
I have one, but can't give much feedback, because I bought it right away when I bought the phone and I'm always docked when possible (at work and at home).
But the brand has good reputation and NFC works and zero problems since I bought it, a few months ago. No need for new battery cover. But not compatible with Verizon version.
So I can't post links because (joined but avid stalker) and I bought Anker 2x2200 mAh and it works with my stock door. When I get past ten I'll update the post.
