I'm using Ice Cold Sandwich ROM on the Desire HD and loving it, but the audio controls on the lockscreeen are annoying me.
I often don't wear a watch, so I take the phone out of my side pocket to check the time and while I slip it back into my pocket I accidentally skip the track I'm listening to by hitting the backwards or forwards button by accident.
So, how do I make it so that there are no audio controls on the lock screen?
I use a pattern lock but I don't unlock the phone to check the time, just quickly hit the power switch to turn the screen on.
It's especially annoying if I'm listening to a 2 hour podcast and I'm half way through it, because I then have to fiddle about trying to get back to the part I was listening to.
Cheers.

I use my phone for work and just leave it plugged in whenever on a conference call, so the screen doesn't time out (checked setting). Now I love the feature of the screen blacking out via proximity sensor whenever not using a BT, just my ear, then the screen turning back on when I move my head away.
However, whenever I'm away from the charger and on a call using my BT earpiece, the screen times out very quick. And there's no way to get the screen back on using the power button at that point, as it'll just hang up the call. My BT does not have mute functionality, and there are times when I need to click Mute or use the dial pad... and at that point, I'm SOL.
I've put a Screen On widget on my desktop and in the notification bar, but the screen times out too quickly for me to remember to tick it. And that's a pain to do anyway on every BT call when not connected to power.
Question... Is there any kind of setting that once the bluetooth option is checked in the dialer, that the screen could stay on longer? Or would this need a mod? Thanks.
Wanting to use the lock screen music controls. When plugged in, music controls stay on. (most likely due to setting to keep backlight on while charging) I want the music controls to stay on when not plugged in. Currently it time's out after about 30seconds. Then I have to press the power button again. Want music control to be available when music is playing. Anyone have any ideas? Don't care about power drain, This feature is for when I'm working out/running. Can't find anything that adjusts this.
settings>security>automatic lock
lets you change that, although only up to a delay of 30 minutes.
Is there any way to have those type of controls like 3 presses of the play button would make it go back 1 song? Kinda annoying when I want to hear a song twice in a row or skip a good song by accident that I have to take my phone out of my pocket them unlock then go back from there.
Is it possible to change so that i can use the volume buttons to skip forward and backwards in music?
As currently, i have to drag my finger, and i don´t know if it´s my phone or the apps, but it isn´t always perfect, sometime it doesn´t sense that i drag, so i have to spam it.
And anyhow, it´s very hard to make fast small skips. For example, i listen to an Audio Book, i don´t hear a word randomly, so i want to back like 5 secs.
Well i have to first press the home button to get the screen lit up. Then Unlock the phone (i know i can disable this).
And finally i have to drag 5 secs back. And while it is possible if the clip is very short, like 30-1 min. But when it´s 4-5min, it´s pretty impossible.
So if i could make the volume buttons work as a skip button when i play music, it would be perfect.
Hello
Is there any way to silence a call using the watch? I am not talking about rejecting the call, just to turn off the ringer.
It can be done by pressing the vol/power button on the phone but I cant find how to do it on watch.
quick google couldnt give me the answer, hope you guys know any way to acheive this
You can look at the app "Ringtone Remote" in Google Play. I haven't tried it, but it seems to be able to do what you want. It is also free!
When you cover the watch with a open palm, the watch will turn black and the phone will become silent and the call will continue to ring silently
Nice, didn't know that. It actually did work... the first time. When I test it the second time the call on the watch gets muted but the phone keeps on ringing, even though it did work the first time I tested.
thanks it works. But i dont get a 100% success rate. But it still works
Wear Mini Launcher, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.npi.wearminilauncher. It has a Widgets screen that controls multiple things on the phone, including allowing you to toggle speaker on, mute, or vibrate... from the watch.
I would also like to be able to touch one of the icons on the watch face that I am using to immediately mute the watches' speaker. That would solve your request and mine also. Thanks
