-+-FOR HERO-+- Hero Clocks & Customized Widgets TO-GO [WIP]

I wanted to make a thread for all people with ideas and creativity, similiar to the J & B keyboard thread... plus original Hero Clock thread is a little long.
reason is to have a place where you can ADB push or load up different colored widgets.
Now this is an early early stage of this thread and I plan to collab where possible... so please PM me for any help or ideas etc..
Im not the best at this, but im creative, so hopefully I can catch a few people's eye's (as my signature has) and let's get to it.
I have the PSD files of these clocks, you can open them in Photoshop or ImageReady.. I could use some help packing the clocks if people want them..
feel free to add your own customized widgets, clocks ,etc.. whatever is posted will be linked from the home page, for organization purposes.

thanx been tryna spread the word around about this possiblity... maybe itll open up some more.. i hope to work with the scripters of the non-rosie clocks to maybe incorporate some type of way to swap these in and out of HERO builds...

Yeah we definatly need these in Hero builds these clocks are SO SICK great work

ok... I did this clock in less than an hour and a half... and I'll improve it over time... but!... this is for the Japanese(or Japanese wannabes(I KNOW I'M ONE!) )... as I said... I will improve it (when I have time)
EDIT: Any Ideas on how to make it sexxy???

A little HERO POWER TRIP and vacation now so thats what happened to my thread so maybe in a couple of weeks but for now I'm relaxing sorry to disappoint and thanks for keeping it legit with our clocks
PS: I may have something today to put up but its preliminary so well see

Yeah... we just talked about it and we are gonna work it out so I can have my own debit card so I can get a paypal... awesomeness!!!

dont want to compete in anyway with any developers... thats why i sought them out about my idea...
trying to start customizing the HERO widgets, Clocks, etc... (with the second hand) on Rosie..
just a different thread for a different customization
im going to see if I can have th4r edit a script or ill edit his script to work in the same way for SenseUI, Rosie, whatever you want to call it
some other developers of the community may partake in this as well...
names will be credited at the top

im packing one tonight.. im gonna try the ADB method... maybe make a .bat batch file

Ah shoot I was hoping there was the apk for some of those in the first post, they look pretty nice . Is that what your talking about by 'packing one tonight'?

no such luck... with my attempt i want to add my resources to the site so that any one can take a stab at it... or use as they want as well

sure thing.. no problem.. when im out of class at 1pm EST ill finish the rest of the clocks and send them to you.

Ok children. Be nice. Besides the search option sucks sometimes. It doesnt really narrow down things. Im pretty sure he typed htc music and got all these themes pop up as a result. But yea. Before posting a question. Ur gonna need to scroll and search thoroughly. unfortunately ur answer might be and ive experience it. The last result of the last page.

htc clock widget

ok so im trying to figure out how to edit the htc clock widget to open a different clock like desk clock. can this be done?

def's uncommon rom is the only one that i know of that does it. good luck getting him to tell you how. def is one of my favorite dev, i'm not calling him out. all the dev keep there findings to them selves really.
question... how come people don't share there tweeks and hacks anymore?
i remember full threads on reg edits, tweeks, and hacks, that people would share with the world. I actually had threads where i would take requests, and cab them up for people to be able to install easily.
big difference between the WM day to the current droid days.

i sent a pm to the owner of the rom and i am awaiting a reply back. im not trying to take credit for something i just dont want to have to run beautiful widgets when i spent all the time on making custom flip clocks.

That is a very ****-headed thing to say. I am MORE than willing to help anyone out with reproducing ANY of my mods. I keep nothing secret, and I literally JUST replied to the OP's PM, just before reading your completely asinine comment. My PM box is FULL of questions AND answers with guidance on duplicating mods. Truth be told, I do not POST these modifications and how-to in their own threads for one reason only. I do not have the time to support them.

Def, I was not trying to be a **** head and don't see that my post directed anything negative towards you. I was iust stating that a few years ago, members in the Windows mobile forums shared everything. Infact, there were http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/windows-mobile-hacks-tweaks/ forums just for regedits and hacks. I don't find that on the 2010 Android forums.
I didnt mention the guy who posted a zip file that was able to put the 6 bar signal meter in the task bar. here is a couple thing i would like to add to my roms, but cant find information on them. correct me if i'm wrong, but people just dont share this stuff.
1. 6 bar signal
2. htc clock widget launching vanilla clock
3. app drawer 5 icons wide,
4. battery percentage in battery icon
yes, def's roms have all of these. that is why i run his rom. at least until he bans me from his roms due to this thread.

Well I would like to say he got me started and I found where the attribute is for opening world clock and I have changed it to deskclock but I think I'm doing something wrong with the apk tool because when I push it to the phone and launch it still opens world clock but in the files its self it says deskclock. I wish I knew more about the Android language but sadly I don't and I'm going to keep trying.

i am am really glad to see people like def who is trying to help others instead of just posting there roms.
I am 38 years old, married with 4 kids. i have been on the forums for a long time and know what and how they work. i was not trying to start anything, i love helping people and learning. that is why i like the forums.
i have made 2 apps for windows mobile and never thought of charging for them. one of the apps had over 20,000 downloads. my favorite thing to do was help people learn to make there own.
back on topic....
i would really like to have a zip to flash this htc clock mod. it is one of my favorite parts of def's uncommon rom. i dont have the time anymore to learn a lot of coding. at least i don't think so. kind of new to android so i dont know if it's easy or not. flashing zip files is easy. lol.

i use to cab up rededits for easy installs. i dont know if you know what red edits are or not, but many people wouldnt do them because they were tough. cab files were just like apk for android. zip files are just as easy really. maybe someday.

OK, I have a small offer for someone who can help me out. I need someone who knows about icons and changing theme, or someone who has a variety of icons already that can share with me. I am looking for someone who knows how to explain this and can help me change icons and yadda yadda.

Iphone music apk

The previous thread was closed by the moderator. I contacted him but he didn't answer. Though this isn't my work, i uploaded it to google docs. I hope it is reachable to everyone. If it isn't please suggest an other way. Download the attachments zip if you can see it. I repeat this has nothing to do with btunes, it has coverflow and it works pretty well though it can be more stable. Hope someone can improve it...

And now its just confusing. You wanted emails, to then give to the developer so he could then email people the apk, but now you're posting the apk?

Well that is the part which was misunderstood. I told people to post their emails on youtube, not here. This is the way i got the apk in the first place. Stop being so offencsive and help me upload this if you can. The link works?

Why not just post some screenshots and attach the APK to the forum like everybody else?

That's why i just posted the youtube link n the first thread. Ill do it again. There is nothing mysterious about it. I din't know how to do it, i had never done it before.

Well he sent me the apk via email, its not a playstore app like aPod, it's just the JoyOS rom music app that was pulled out from the rom... the developer is basically JoyOS team..

Me too, but for three years now i ve been using android phones, i 've never seen a music player with decent graphics. Maybe Uber music but this is a clone of wp7 player too. Android lacks a player where you can browse album art smoothly without thinking you own a low end phone. This is the first time i can see my music library looking good

So who exactly is the developer for this? its actually very good! obviously its not totally there yet but i wouldn't mind keeping up to date with development and so on
