I like instagram for photos. They photos are all square (personal I like that shape) and you can put easily a filter on it for a nice effect.

It focus just at the CENTER of the photo, if i wanna chose an object for example at left, i can't!
With Camera360 it can, but i don't like it..
I'd say stock app
Works fast and produces good and sharp pics

Yes, you can. Change your capturing mode to normal first. Then, select touch focus under the focus mode

Camera360 is great
Pudding camera
I love this app named PUDDING CAMERA
....
I am a new user/owner of the Xpera Arc (10 days..)
To be honest I was expecting more form the Arc's camera with Exmor R lens, especially when you have in mind that the iPhone 4S has a Sony 8MP Lens also. Maybe Sony should focus on the drivers/algorithms of the camera for one of the next updates. It can make a huge difference and many customers happy.
Different camera applications won't make a serious/noticeable difference in the photos' quality if Sony doesn't provide better drivers/algorithms.
So, my opinion is use the stock application. No need for another one.
BTW: Is there a way to change ISO, and more settings in the ICS Camera App? Because I can't find any such setting..
yea stay with the stock

nice never seen fish like this one before^^
Mine are taken with i9000 and edited on PC but you can use HDR Camera, Picsay Pro or switch to panorama (option available on any ICS Rom) for similar results. The first one it's processed with Photomatix (3 photos combine at diffrent esposure levels -2, 0, +2 , use for this method HDR Camera), secound one have the color adjusted, some filter and motion blur applied in photoshop. Third one acdsee (you can use picsay), fourth cobined in photoshop (but you can also use windows live photo galery or switch to panorama ICS camera option).
Also has anyone manage to use Camera FV-5 and optain long time exposure (5 secound time exposure for example) in darkness?????
Sorry for my bad eanglish.
This is not mine but this photo has been taken by my friends sgs. Hope U like it

I HATE the stock ICS camera apk.
Almost half of the screen is waisted by the gray rectangle.
However, the HTC camera apk features full screen. And It has alot of useful features.
Is there an all that has full screen pictures while taking video and pictures THAT WORKS and has a wide range of features. I have checked the play store but there isn't any app that is as responsive as the stock camera. I have found one app that offers full screen but it's ehh.
Has anyone found a great alternative???
I found some nice cameras if u are into manual cams check fv5

Looks nice. I'll try it out.
But I still wish it can have the full screen pictures and videos. I feel like I bought a bad phone every time I see dad's HTC phone camera APK turn on.
NVM!!!
It's perfect!!!
THANKS!!!
Great it worked for u. That just for pics no video. Question how u get snapshots of screen

What do u mean how???
I'm using the Galaxy Nexus. i515.
If u got ICS 4.x.x then u have to HOLD LOCK and VOLUME DOWN together at the same time.
Then wait for a flash and done.
If u are below 4.x.x then this can be done and u'll need an alternative way.
Just because the viewing area is bigger on one camera doesnt mean that the pictures turn out any bigger.
For example...
Stock Camera...
Camera Zoom FX
Camera FV-5
Shot Control
BTW, can anyone guess what size the different cartridges are?

Interesting... You think you phone is crap because the image preview on the camera (just one app) doesn't take up the whole screen? You know what they stay, 'Its not the size that counts. Its the how you use it.'
Of all the camera apps i have i prefer Shot Control. It has a lot of features and is quite a bit of customization. It takes better pics than the rest of them yet has the smallest preview screen.
I think you are focusing too much on the aesthetics of the app.

Oh u no what I meant by that if I just think about It for a min.
Did you say almost half the screen is wasted by the grey rectangle? That looks more like 1/3 or 1/4.

Where camera app for the Galaxy S3 produces the highest image quality? I'm going to use the stock camera app as the baseline.

ProCapture
via my ParanoidedAndroided GS3
Camera Zoom FX works well for me with the exception of a couple things.
1) Loads slower than stock camera.
2) No video capability.
I really like that I can click anywhere on the screen to take the pic. I don't have to click a particular button.
yup.
ProCapture is nice.

Have anyone done a comparison between Vignette and ProCapture? What makes you think ProCapture is better? My search suggest that Vignette's 3.1MP Superfine option produces better quality than the stock app. I don't know what kind of options that ProCapture have that pushes it above the competition.
I prefer using the Stock cam overall, but I do like to use Aviary and Pixlr-o-matic every now and again. FxCamera looks cool, but the lack of live filters is a big usability issue for me.
Pro capture is a good one for power use. Pudding Camera looks good also, but I didn't really like the lack of options in it. Also pictures didn't seem as sharp as with the Stock cam. I can't say much about Vignette based on the free demo, which isn't good enough to make me want to buy it. However, it does seem to have some nice features for taking shots and editing them.

Actually on my phone, the camera's picture quality has lessened! Even though its setted on 5 MB but the quality is still less than Stock Rom.... I wonder why
I think so, picture quality has decreased, but it doesn't matter for me as long as it can used
I took this pict last september ago using CM9 B1, and I really love it

There isn't any difference on the photo quality from the stock rom.But it's slower than stock. Focusing is perfect but too slow. It takes 2 seconds! iPhone4 ,xperia Neo V, EVO 3D is faster than our camera(1second or less).
Hello everyone,
I asked a question about the Sony Xperia S. Is it possible to take a photo while filming? With a MOD? Or application?
(Like some mobile phone from Samsung or Nexus).
Thank you in advance for your answers.
(Sorry for my english, but I'm Belgian. I do my best )
We will get that on JB. Sadly, the photo will be only 1 MP.
