Amazon UK have put a stop-sell on the white One X apparently due to quality concerns. A colleague was told he couldn't have his faulty One X replaced and they could only offer a refund at this time. He called up to ask why, and they said there had been "quality concerns".
If you go to the Amazon UK page you will see:-
Item Under Review
This product is not currently offered by Amazon.co.uk because a customer recently told us that the item he or she received was not as described.
We are working to resolve this as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you may still find this product available from other sellers on this page.

Strangely they are still selling the grey one.
good going HTC...
Probably related to the white back not being quite as impervious as they thought. One of the reasons I got the grey one... nothing stays clean in the same house as my 1 year old.
They might not listen to us lot on xda but I bet they'll take notice when a company as large as Amazon expresses concerns and stops selling the product.

maybe they will wake up now... or probably more reseller need to do the same until htc is going to listen to the community and not just ignore us.
like here: http://blog.htc.com/2012/04/your-phone-your-thoughts-tell-us-what-you-think/
over 200 negative posts and no single reply from htc, thats really poor!

yes i guess they don't know what to say lol
It doesn't look like Amazon are selling the grey one either. If you select grey it shows the seller as webtrader instead of directly from Amazon.
Or is this normal? I've noticed that the seller seems to change every day anyway. Sometimes direct from Amazon, other times not. Is that when they run out of stock or something?

Not sure why its not displaying for you but I just double checked and I can definitely still order a grey one from Amazon UK directly from them (not a seller). I would not be at all surprised if the grey ones are pulled as well shortly. I don't think the issue is to do with anything specific about the white casing.

nothing to do with color
white is selling more = more complaints lol
I received a replacement grey from Amazon today (shipped yesterday) so they must still have some. Batch number HT241W - hopefully a good one! Not had time to test it yet.
Sad to hear this, o2 also unhappy with the return rate they're getting on the One X.

That's what I'm saying...
Currently 16 sellers of the grey model on Amazon - including Amazon. I think they only direct a portion of the search results to their own product, otherwise the other retailers would never get a look in. Look at the "More Buying Choices" column on the right hand side.
I'm betting that Amazon have returned their stock of the white one, which is why they can't offer returns. I got one from them last Friday, HT23Z (and thus far problem free) so I suspect all their stock was HT23. When they start selling the white one again I reckon they'll have a later batch.
I am an Amazon prime customer so I think it is prioritising the one sold by Amazon directly for me because of the included next day service on it. Sometimes it favours the "cheapest" vendor, which is 15 pounds lower than Amazon directly.....so maybe thats why it showed that one in this case.

Ah that makes sense. The randomness is pretty annoying though. I wished they'd just default to Amazon and let you see the other seller prices.
Well done HTC
But officially there isn't any problem ...

i noticed that message the first time recently while looking at 3d computer monitors. one of them can only be bought from a third party seller because of too many Amazon returns.
So today i got my htc one x white version but the strange thing is that it doesnt have that screen protector that is by default "im the ONE you'we been waiting for"
but it says only "ONE x" is that okay because i watched like 100 reviews and no one had it like mine ?

Hi guys,
I just got a new HTC One X for my brother and found some interesting things. First, the phone only has 16GB on board memory (indicated on the box). Second, the phone has SN starting with SH29BW (new production batch). Third, the phone came with 4.0.4 update preinstalled.
I also notice that the build is 100% perfect, no hardware issue (Wifi works perfectly) inside out. I contacted the seller and he said HTC no longer produces 32GB version of the S720e.
I found this one is interesting and wanna share with every one

The box is also quite different when compared to mine at least
Mine came with a capsule like recycled box.. I thought it was some kind of environmentally-good campaign of Htc

The one you have is from the package with a headset. Seller take it out and sell the phone separately.
The other type of box is a white square one. This is the stand-alone version of the phone (without the headset).
My box is black and smaller than the 2nd one. And the box indicates HTC India
PS: I am in US, Minnesota and got the phone from a Yankee seller

The white... is... beautiful compared to the black!
Hi everyone!
Sorry that I'm late for the party,, but better late than never! I'm from UK and I'm planning to buy a HTC 10 carbon grey variant this week from HTC UK website. I just wanted to know one thing - Are there any logos at the back of your device other than the HTC logo? I've seen few devices with completely clean back (with only the HTC logo in the middle) and others with the CE number and other information at the bottom. I was wondering if its related to carriers or all the new devices (including the ones from HTC website) coming now sports such a logo at the back. I know that this logo is present due to the non-removable back cover, but from the pictures I've seen, these logos take away a bit of its beauty. But still, it's a great device. Just wanted to make sure of this detail.
Thanks in advance!

the others are carrier specific logos when you buy along with a contract with them or without a contract too from them sometimes...
directly from htc website would give you without any other logo but only HTC

I am aware of the carrier specific logos, but my question was on the additional labels (like CE2200 etc) as seen in the picture below. I saw in some reviews, devices without those labels. I was wondering if its just pre-ordered devices or the devices coming direct from HTC. I think the clean back is much better than the one with labels.
For comparison, here is the device with just the model specified at the bottom. This has a cleaner look than the other. Not a deal breaker though, but maybe its just my OCD and feels that this looks cleaner than with lot of writings at the back.

Mine is from a carrier.
Those labels stopped being required in the US about a year ago. Most reviewers are US based so this is why their model doesn't have the labels. I'm not sure what UK law is regarding the labels.

I guess this is the answer that I wanted. I thought the labels are not needed anymore anywhere in the world. Anyways, it would have been dope to get the device just like how they portray in the ads.
Sony have the right idea.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got my phone and it had nothing but the faint HTC and the model. It looks so clean! Combined with the fact that there are no labels on the front... so nice. I'm on Verizon but I'm very glad I got the unlocked model. Finally free from their ugly check mark!
Hi guys,
I'm planning to get the note 7. Just wondering if anyone can post an image of a brand new unit if you got one. Does it really have the letter S mark? Or the black mark? Thanks!

Mine was the canadian version. Has the black square.
Wow that's it? The black square? OK it is good to know, but those out there with malicious intent, selling defective units on the 'Black Market' can easily draw up a replica symbol on the label to pass off as new 'Safe' units.
You can check the imei on samsungs website

Unfortunately I haven't opened it or made any other observations. I sold the new one on Craigslist unopened. I wanted an exynos version so will wait to get my hands on one of those after after the dust settles from the recall.
What I did notice was that the label with the black square was on top of the original label.
So my assumption is that these units were old stock, but Samsung knew which units had the unaffected batteries and therefore just relabeled them with a new identifier(black square) to know good from bad.

Only this letter was included in the shipping box with the new phone box.
It just tells me to drop off old unit at a Samsung store. On back side of letter it just names all the locations that i can drop it off.
No mention of what happens if i don't or no mention of any deadlines to drop it off by. I originally bought my unit from Samsung.ca.
They probably have my credit card on file and would just Bill me if they didn't receive my recalled unit
