Infinite folders? - HTC One X

I was going to add a new app to my games folder and I was surprised that I couldn't because the folder reached its capacity. Can someone tell me if it's possible to fix it with some custom patch like the 3dots patch?
Thanks

Arrange programs into maps?

Hey all,
I just got my new Desire today and already installed quite a few apps. Now I was wondering if it is possible to put like the games I into a separate map so I don't have to browse through all of my programs to find something, and it will look cleaner imo.
Thanks in advance,

Not sure what you mean by maps, but you can create folders and name them, so you could make one exclusively for games. Hold down on the home screen then add folder - you rename it by opening it up, then long-pressing on the title bar.

You are right I ment Folders. But if I do what you say I create a folder on my homescreen. But I would like to make folders into my app menu(to get there you have to press the little arrow on the left bottom side of your screen) is it possible to create folders there?

Hi,
That is what the home screens are for, and that is why there are 7 of them. I don't think the apps menu is editable.
I have one home screen for games, and a folder there too for the games that won't fit on the screen.

Apps organiser
Seems to be a great app for doing just this. I've just installed it. Searched "apps" in market and had to scroll down a fair bit to find it. Did not come up when i searched apps organiser".
Just realised that i should learn how to spell before searching for an item. " Apps Organizer" :-$
Thanks for the info! Ive just
downloaded apps organizer and set it up. put 2 folders on my homescreen(1 called apps and the other one games) and it works fantastic, so my problem is solved. thanks guys!!

[Q] Limit to Number of Items in Folders?

Hi
Is there a limit on how many items can be in a folder?
If so, is there a way to change this?
I want to put all my games in a folder, but there appears to be a limit.
Thanks
I think you just answered your own question.
How many games were able to put in one folder?

16.
How rubbish :/
I do hope they change this.

Out of space when trying to install a game?o.O

hello
i am trying to install a game via ex file explorer but when i am trying to install it says out of space please remove some apps....and i am using only 3gb of 25gb and my internal place got around 1gb left....how come?its 150mb game...
Have you previously had the game installed and used lucky patcher on it to remove adds.
This can happen and its fixed in settings of lucky patcher

Yes before i used the lucky patcher on it before so i removed the game via apps and trying to install the newer version of the game and it wont let me...i just did the remove ads on the game with the lucky patcher so how do i fix it?
First you need to find out what the appfile is called because this is different than the app name mostly.
e.g. Flash is com.adobe.flashplayer-1.apk
You just need to delete the corresponding *.odex file in /data/app
You need a root explorer for this ^^
Let me know if it worked
Easiest way is to open luckypatcher.
Hit menu.
Troubleshooting.
Fix changes
Then you can redownload app
This will clear all luckypatcher changes so you will have to reapply your tweaks again

Sigh. Am I talking about warez. No. The program can be used for that. I myself use it for removing ads which is much easier than messing with host files

Removing ads is grey area, but can be considered warez too. Lucky patcher definitely is warez though.

[SOLVED] SDCard items (Audio, pictures) not showing in respective apps

***ADDED***
I just noticed, my audio files aren't showing up in the music app either :S
Plus, I'm not the only one with this issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1837120
***Original Post***
Hey,
So this happened day before yesterday, on CM9 beta 5, my photos didn't show up in my gallery, I booted into recovery, mounted and unmounted my sdcard, cleared cache and stuff, to no avail. Today, I installed HTC One maXimus 3.0 with a full wipe, but didn't fix anything. However, what I've noticed is, if a picture is placed in the root of a folder in the sdcard, it shows up, but only if I cut and paste photos there, the ones already in the folder didn't show up either.
What I mean is:
I have a folder, /sdcard/DCIM.
The pictures that were in that directory didn't show up either. But, when I moved pictures from sdcard/DCIM/100Media to sdcard/DCIM, they showed up in the gallery.
I have another folder, /sdcard/pictures.
It has two folders inside it, 'Screenshots,' and 'Instagram.' Those photos weren't showing up either. But, when I moved them into /sdcard/Pictures, they showed up.
The biggest problem, even the pictures I take on the camera, don't show up in the gallery.
The only thing I believe is left is for me to make a backup of my sdcard, then format the sdcard, put everything back, and create new folders for the pictures and place em there.
If you have any suggestions other than that, please post it here. Id really appreciate it and will remember to hit the thanks button too!

Check to see if there is a .nomedia file in your root directory. If there is, delete it and rescan.

I deleted the file, and rebooted, problem is all there. How do I rescan?

Check that the file has not reappeared. I think this is a bug from ROM Manager which has just been fixed in the latest version. So may need to update ROM Manager too.
The .nomedia file tells the photo gallery and music player that there is no media there and to ignore any it sees. If it is in the root directory then it will not see any media files in any directory

It isn't there, and I don't have Rom manager :S

I even deleted .showme, no luck :/
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
You may just have to wait a while and it will update the gallery/music automatically. Sorry I can't be more help, but if you did have that .nomedia file, it would have stopped your apps seeing the files

Also try deleting the app data

See my post "reset the mediadatabase". ICS stores every medialink in a database, so that no other app has to search mediafiles (vids, pictures and music) in the storage everytime. If this database is corrupted, ICS will not find any new data by this moment. The way I described in my post fixed the problem.

How to hide folders in gallery

I know there are apps like quickpic that do it, but the the new gallery is much better, so I hope there its a way around to hide folders in the new gallery
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
There's a QA forum separately, for future questions.
To answer to your question, place a ".nomedia" file on a desired folder containing the photos you want to hide using a file manager. It will hide photos from being indexed to phone thus making them unvisible in gallery.

Thnks fhilv....
Yeah but it's not practical to always do that,I was asking for some mod from a dev to enable such feature, also the share option in the new gallery is limited to certain apps, is there a way around to edit pictures from gallery with different apps like Photoshop touch
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium
I am using this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tonado.boli.hermit.hider&feature=search_result
It remembers path, so hiding/un hiding quite easy
I'm using Hide It Pro its free on Play Store works flawlessly
