Inside of the play store I am unable to download some apps. I am receiving an error message saying that apps aren't compatible with my device, even some of the apps I've paid for is there a work around for this issue??
Are you using any sort of modifications? Are you on stock DPI?
I didn't know that had any effect yes I have changed my DPI but I can't even find some of the apps in the market like widget locker
Since you are on a modified DPI, the market is not recognizing your phone and some apps will not show up because they only allow certain DPIs... you either need to go back to stock DPI (320 I believe) or get the modified market (play store, whatever).
_______Edit_________
I actually believe there are some DPIs that integrate well with the market, but I can't remember them off the top of my head (240? 190?)

Hi, has anyone had the issue where there is no icon for play books or play movies?
i have a stock one x unbranded. You cant uninstall the apps just their updates so i cant remove and re add them. Anyone know of a manual way of adding icons? They work fine if opened from Play. its minor butt annoying.
Thanks
David
It's certainly annoying.
If you long press on a homescreen, and choose to add a shortcut (rather than a Widget or App) then you can select "Books" and create a homescreen shortcut to a specific book.
If you uninstall Google Books, and reinstall it from the Play Store - making sure that "Auto-add widgets to homescreen" is selected in the Play Store Settings, then that will create a working shortcut on your homescreen.
Only way to get a shortcut in the App Drawer is to ditch sense and use a different launcher. Must be a Rosie/Sense Launcher issue, maybe something to do with the fact that the label in the App Drawer has a different name to the label on the homescreens - it's probably getting confused? Wouldn't expect a fix from HTC any time soon. Maybe Google can fix something on their app...?
Try using AnyCut off the Play Store...it allows you to create shortcuts.
This is a temporary limitation in Android that will be fixed in a future software update as soon as Google finalizes the underlying architecture.

if you are not rooted, you can do that by tuning your favorites app, more info here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2732203
The application in question does not work with bunches of applications. I went with the paid release to support the developer, having uninstalled most of the ones I was able to modify.

In the Play Store when I go to My Apps and choose an app this is already installed, the phone version of the Play Store goes to a new page listing the full description of the app.
On my Tab Pro 8.4 the apps are listed down the left side and selecting one just shows its heading (name and icon) on the right with lots of white space (80% of the screen) underneath. Does anyone know why the space isn't auto filled with the app description? Seems odd when there is all that space available? This also happens when updates are available. I want to see what the update contains not just the name of the app. I know I can then click on this heading to get the detail but it seems an unnecessary extra step on the tablet surely, are is there a setting I'm missing?
I have the same behaviour on my Tab Pro 8.4
I actually like it. It allows me to update individual apps by simply tapping the "update" button on the Right Pane. On my phone, to update individual apps I would need to open up the description for each one and tap Update.
Hi,
Is it possible to hide apps from Google Play so that it doesn't see them as installed? I have a few apps that are outdated and don't want to update them. It would be nice to hide them somehow so that I stop getting prompts to update from Play.
Thanks.
Is there a way to shoe the main menu of programs not compatible with Android tv, like tasker for example.
Go to play store and search for launcher , using any other launcher will give you access to those apps directly from the apps section
