beats audio HTC Desire - Desire General

Has anybody been able to strip the beats audio apk file from Desire?

As far as I know, for Beats Audio the phone need "specific Beats-Audio-hardware". So for what could you need the app?

You can search on xda forum and there is a .Zip file. You can download and install from recovery on your HTC desire. I am using it and it has nothing to do with hardware as it's just software settings, if I am not wrong.

beats audio experience
Believe me that beats audio is not a big deal. Using it on Runny ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1526831
PowerAMP has much better sound (using Headset).
I am wandering if there is any way how to improve loud speaker on HTC Desire which realy sucks...

Hi,
I thing that for beats audio you need some more hardware than software, but its just my opinion, check it around.

Nope. HTC has already said the beats audio had nothing to do with hardware and is just some software files. You can hear it on any high performance earphones. That's their reason for not bundling beats with the One series.

Has anyone tried this MOD on their Desire? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1525226
If so, do you hear a difference or is it better to install a more advanced music player with equalizer? Thanks!

hello, I recently installed the runny rom with beats audio on my desire, when I play music with the beats enabled it won't play either in speaker and headphone, but works when disabled. Do I need to install additional softwares?

Sup guys. For those that want to use beats audio on their Sense 3.5 ROMs, go to Settings>RCMix Tweaks>Miscelanious>beats bokst and check it.
One more thing: I tried my friends Sensation XL original inpackage beats headphones and there was no sound. I think its not working, its just cool to be able ti show someone that you got beats audio working.

DSP manager works!
Root maybe needed.. When installed just turn on bass enhancement and set it to extreme, then max the EQ but drop the 2nd to rightmost treble down to 0... Omg... Its loud.. Clear.. And actually has some BASS !!
Does not work with native music player as that has its own eq.. But for any other streamed music video or game its incredible.

Thanks for the heads up!! Will try it when it arrives and see if the sound becomes better ;D

EDIT
I understand what you mean; sorry, I am new to Android
Just to confirm, the DSP Manager works even on the on non-rooted handsets.
just download and install bro. may need a file manager from the Android Market to find the .apk file.. Should be in the downloads folder on your sd card.
Sorry

The SGS2 has a built in installer and you just select the apk and it installs it. I am loving this phone.
Has anyone complared PlayerPro vs above suggestion?
Worked for me, made a nice change, will test it fully in the car tomorrow.
Works great, sounds meaty now!
crashes on mine everytime while navigating or listening to an audio book and a call comes in.. then in continually crashes till reboot.
think it has something to do with restarting the book or navigation..
uninstalled.
Sound better to me. Takes some of the tin out. Thanks.

Wildfire S doesn't support Adobe Flash & Adobe AIR, just like ChaCha. This phones are low-end phones and thats is a problem - shame, becouse there are quite nice and new phones.
Why it doesnt make sense!!

I've managed to get Adobe Flash Player 10.2 working on my HTC ChaCha! I've done a tutorial on how to do it
Hope this helps
I also got Flash 10.2 working on the Wildfire S. Videos work great and most flash based apps do too. But flash based apps don't show in the market, which is fine by me.

Google Now?

Is it available as an install and do u have to be rooted first, I had it on my other two Android phones plus built in Beats Audio?
Sent from my LG-P935 using xda premium
Google now is a Google search feature. It's available in jb and probably in ics. Beats audio is mostly a soft mod. I haven't tried it in months but I'm sure there's a "universal" zip you can flash.

Yeah I know that its just that the Google Now was an actual zip file that we had to flash, u know I'm speaking of the one that beats SIRI hands down just want to be sure we're on the same page also I'm in the latest ICS firmware but don't notice it?

Beats audio can be obtained by searching the forums, or going to play store and getting the beats audio installer.
Oh and Google now works on ICS with a mod found in the android apps and games section.

Thanks and yeah, have to root first to install the Beats Audio and probably this weekend also most of the ROMs I used previous on my other Android phones had Beats Audio built into them so that is why I asked about that plus I am using Beats Tours right now with my LG Nitro so do you know what to look for in the Google Play market for the mod for Google Now and do I need root for that as well?

DSP Manager for TouchWiz

I've looked around for a DSP Manager for TouchWiz roms but i have not found anything. Does such a thing exist or must I change to an AOSP or CM room?

I tried that for a while too. There is a version of awesome beat that works but only with other music player; not the stock Samsung one. And even then, it's buggy. Sometime applying setting for Bluetooth audio to headphone, etc. I eventually have up and just use the default dsp built in; which again, can only be accessed by other music player
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
You're not looking hard enough.. I'm using it right now, the only problem is that it doesn't work with any music player in touchwiz except for poweramp and it works great!! but you have to disable direct volume control in audio settings and also disable the eq in poweramp, and everything that is enabled there for best results

[Q] Infamous S4 question regarding audio mod

Hey I've been searching for a while for Beats that can work with the infamous s4 Rom . I had ver 3.6 that came with the beats mod but when updating to ver 7 the audio mod was changed to Viper4android .
Does anyone know a link to a beats mod that works with infamous s4 7.0 or the one that was used in ver 3.6 . Personally hate viper4android , sound is so different for me, can't feel the bass in my headphones but can hear bass interfering with the music sound and also all my music is low volume compared to ver 3.6.
I've found some beats mods but after flashing I'd either get constant reboots or just doesn't work.
You can always pull it from one of his older versions

Extracted it and tried to use the PC to replace the files BUT i cant access my system root. Then tried using Rom Toolbox Pro to replace the files in system but it'll just add the files as a copy and not replace the original files with the new ones =\
When you extract it you have to pull the apk and the libs for it . And then before you push it to system using file explorer you need to set your read write permission s .and it should look like this rwrr

well I did all that. BUT the sounds effects actually lower the music witI beats. I give up . Only problem is if I use viper , the music that Spotify provides works with viper but the local synced music files from my pc that I transferred with Spotify doesn't enable vipers audio effects. Half my music is loud with bass and the other half is extremely low . Any alternative to viper or beats ?
just used this sound mod http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2293133
. Works perfectly. Thanks anyways guys . Appreciate it
I know what you mean. I use viper and I have the same problem. But hey it was worth a try .
