Hi everybody!
Which are the best general settings for the camera? I saw the comparison from cnet.asia and I was thinking that +1 in both saturation and contrast might be a good idea or maybe the photos looked all washed upp because the flash was always on as another user mentioned.
As i understand -2 sharpening is a go. Should the widescreen mode also be disabled or will it not affect the quality of the picture? Any other suggestions?

Hi
Could you guys share camera settings you've found that optimize pics taken at night.. Indoors and outdoors.
Thanks.
i use indoor/party setting, with iso 100. works well. running kf3.
sent from my galaxy S2.
NO you cannot use manual ISO when in Party scene...it sets ISO 200 itselves and the quality is horrible and picture more blured...
Yeah that's what I found too.
Hello everyone!
I recently bought a Sony Ericsson Arc and the images taken by its camera look pretty good on the phone it self, but wen it comes to downloading them on PC the results are quite unexpected. the image resolution is poor 400xXXX pixels or less and size is about 600kb (same shown in astro file explorer) although its taken on 8mpx settings and same with using HDR camera. I use universal android suit (i dont know maybe i need original sofware?) The question is how do I fix that Resolution problem? what settings and where? pls help

i don't believe hdr camera supports full resolution even if it claims it. Take a picture with the stock camera and check the resolution on that. What's universal Android suit?

HDR camera does support full resolution, I have taking several pictures with both SE camera app, HDR camera and Vignette all at 8MP and compared them with 100-200% magnification, the resolution on each is exactly the same, there is absolute no difference in the details recorded.
HDR camera does after combining three pictures increase color saturation and contrast for the whole picture and fine details. This makes the pictures look like they have more details but up close it is easy to see the same amount of details and same pixel sizes.
I have decided to uninstall Vignette as it add some very weird "pixel curtain" all over the pictures which initially gives it a larger file size as it add additional pixels which is not supposed to be there. This could give the wrong impression that it contains more details which is not the case.
Hi folks,
Just wondered what people used for their point and click camera settings.
I've heard -2 on the sharpness being touted, do you find that offers an improvement? Any other settings to tinker with such as the ISO level?
Hi everyone!
I'd like to inform everyone about the issue that the One X has when taking a picture with the flash enabled. Pictures usually turn out to be plagued by a green-yellow discoloration. I believe I have found a solution to that problem. Taking a picture with the flash enabled, set the White Balance to "Daylight". This eliminates the resultant green tinge. Furthermore, I have discovered that with Camera FV-5, this, in combination with setting the sharpness to one level above 0, and JPEG quality to 100 (or PNG output) has greatly improved my camera quality. With the flash enabled in macro mode, my macro subjects are no longer washed out or overpowered by the flash light intensity. I hope I was able to help

Taking about something like this?
One picture is with flash and one without. The green effect did seem damn weird. Thanks for the solution. I'll give it a try with the next photos I take.

just as an fyi, haven't actually tried it on one x, but on dhd if you set it to florescent instead, it worked pretty good with the flash.
I removed the flash colouring with effects in the stock camera/ gallery app AFTER this picture had been taken... So you can also correct past images that didn't come out that good as well.

i had galaxy s2 before never had a problem with camera with in room light or outdoors pictures are just awesome. but s3 take indoor picture very low quality i changed setting reset it but picture are usually around 1.7-2.1MBs and very blurry i never change settings in s2 but never had problem is there i way i can improve the quality i used flash, change ISO take multiple pictures but cant seem to improve quality.
Kitkat allows for varied ISO on this phone. You can also try AOSP Camera if you feel like it.
I don't use Touchwiz so don't recollect the Stock settings top of my head. Just make sure you set highest resolution.
