I've got two trex, one old black and one new white sticker models. The black one did improve running times but wasn't the greatest. Now that it's getting older, it runs out of steam sooner. The white sticker ones seemed to work better than the black, even when they were new. Does anyone have both the trexcell and the hyperion 3800's ? Have you noticed any noticeable difference between the two? I was going to order a hyper but thought I'd ask first for opinions.
I'm getting ready to get the Trexcell 3800, how long does it last you?
i would like to know, too.
has anybody tested both?
3800 mAh is a must for me considering how much i use this phone.
My Trexcell should be here tomorrow, I can't wait to try it out.

It's not really a 3800. There was a post somewhere that someone took the pack apart and it was two smaller batteries put together with some charging circuitry. I forgot the capacities that they were. It does not offer double the run time, more like maybe 1.5x. Get the extended battery tpu case on Amazon, it works great. The volume buttons are a little sensitive.

I am thinking that they are both probably the same batteries. Probably manufactured in the same plant in china and then purchased by different re sellers who put their own label on them. Ha

I wouldn't be surprised, lol.
Its too bad that the majority of extended batteries are below advertised expectations. I still may get one, but who knows how long it will last until its equal or worse than the OEM battery.

most if not all batteries that are rated more then OEM and are the same size, are actually even worse then OEM with lower rating....
and same for oversized batteries, if not OEM, then all ratings are bs. but of course it will give you anywhere from 30-40% more juice.
Last night I was reading something about Seido batteries, they claim to be 1750 but when you rip them apart, undernearth the fake 1750 badge that Seido puts on them, underneath is some kind of serial number or something that shows they are really 1300 batteries made by another company. Ouch
Just do a google search, the consipiracy should come up.

Carry another battery with you and you just double your juice nice and easy.
http://www.amzer.com/Amzer-1600-mah-Lithium-Ion-Standrad-Battery-P88958.htm
here's one from amzer, but I don't think a 1600mah will make a huge difference since ours is 1500mah? plus I don't know how good amzer batteries are, haven't really bought any third party batteries.
EDIT: oops nm someone already mentioned this battery, didn't see it
That's absolutely ridiculous how dishonest people can be about the MAH that's within the battery. Why lie? Create a price and sell them... people will buy. I am anxious for the 3500MAH that i had with my Nexus one. It last for 1 day and 2 hours (26 hours) even though it had that thick back replacement. I wouldn't mind making this phone a little thicker (preferable heavier) to make up for this cheap quality which compares to the nexus as a TOY! lol But I am in-love with this phone and soo need an extended batter. this batter slightly sucks. It's just ok.
I am thinking about getting an extended battery for my Vibrant, specifically this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/3500mAh-Battery-w-Back-Cover-Samsung-Vibrant-T959-/280576737493. Now, I was wondering if I could get feedback from owners for extended batteries:
Which one did you get?
What is the quality -- how long does it last you?
Can you provide pics of how much fatter it made your phone?
Thanks!

Extended battery with Clear Protector for entire phone
Use this and your battery life more than doubles. It is very comfortable, rubberized coating, and the battery rocks. The door is quite thin considering and fits comfortably in the hand. They are also going to make custom clear protectors for the entire phone and have them up for sale within 2 weeks.

Yes. About 3.5 times the cost of a typical OEM 1500mAh battery but it's not like there is much competition at size. If they produced them on a scale closer to Samsung's own, they'd possibly be cheaper.
I've also seen the cheap non OEM batteries not even charge all the way up to their advertised capacity and then their efficiency is also worse than the OEM battery. I've also seen many Vibrants busted by using cheap batteries. They've overheated, exploded or caused component failures before exploding.
At least OEM batteries perform as expected for the most part. Anyone done any or seen any performance tests done on these Mugen batteries? I'd expect them to at least perform as advertised given the price. I might actually consider getting one of these even though it costs more than what I paid for the phone itself! LOL
If you don't buy direct, you can find the Mugen one online for less than $100.

Just an update with my Cheap Knockoff battery LOL. Its been running great with no leaks, no overheating or anything. its the 2800mah extended battery. Ive been getting 2+days with the battery. Thats with 3g on always, screen at brightest level and streaming slacker/pandora a couple hours a day. Please dont be scared to order one of the cheap batteries, they actually do work. I would like to see something better comparison wise than a lighter, I really want to be able to keep on 3g all day and get most of a days charge.. I have to keep off 3g, bluetooth, gps all the time to get 17+ hours out of my phone.. and heaven forbid I use google maps or something.
Don't get me wrong, my phone is awesome, I am used to having to keep things like 3g off to have enough battery, but it would be nice to be able to USE the phone without fear of it dying too early..

yea, i just bought one i will see how works
On the captivate forums a user bought a few of these different mAh batteries and did tests with some battery meters. None of the batteries did as well as the stock OEM batteries. Even known "good" brands like Seido didn't do well. The higher capacity batteries never did as well as even stock batteries and the cheap eBay batteries that matched the originals did really bad.
If i want an extra battery i will just buy it from AT&T or Moto - or somewhere that i know the one i buy is genuine.
i bought one today too
I asked the seller:
Does the battery fit in the original battery-case?
here is his answer:
his is andida battery. It is better than the original battery thick only little .do not worry,it could be use
Do you think it will fit?
I looked and it seems to me like there's not really room for a thicker battery....
Make sure to check out the seidio battery...that might be a good one.

I would be very wary of any battery that is any thicker than the original. If you have to press harder on the cover to get it to clip on with the thicker battery, it could be physically stressing the circuit boards or other components.

Only $5.99 USD?
That's too good to be true ... most probably fake, I meant it contain less than 2300 mAH.

Also, it does not look to have NFC.
I bought this one: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/110797773716#ht_4338wt_905
It has NFC and it is (slightly) higher capacity. The back cover fits perfectly, and is almost identical to the CDMA GN back cover. Makes the device just a tad less concave near the bottom. Looks and fees better in my opinion.
I've ordered one of the 3,800 ones, I'll post a review when I get it!

I was thinking the same thing, but I went for it anyway. I bought it so I wouldn't have to swap batteries. The 2000mah battery has about 15% more capacity, so if you get say 12 hours on the regular battery, you should get 13.7 hours. If you get 18 hours, you should get 20.6 hours. As well, I find my GN feels much better in my hand with the extended battery: it is slightly heavier and less concave in the back (i.e., it looks like an LTE GN).

yeah that price is very sketchy. the cheap eBay extended batteries have proven to never be even close to the advertised capacity. sometimes they turned out to be even less than the stock batteries. Here you go. I purchased one of these for my 3D and 2 for my ET4G. I'm getting 30+ hrs with moderate to heavy usage. Definitely on par with the Seidio but at half the cost. It does add a bump and some weight to the phone but IMO it actually makes the phone feel more solid. It feels cheap with just the stock battery.

I have had very good luck with this setup...
http://www.amazon.com/Hyperion-Spri..._1_5?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1333305053&sr=1-5
With it being 20.00 you just cant go wrong... 2 BATTERIES, WALL CHARGER and it performs way better than the stock batteries. I charge them from the wall charger and when i install the battery it actualy stays at100% for over 30 minutes of use before i see 99% and 98% just amazing. this pic i posted is from heavy use with the battery. Im ALWAYS on the phone lol. Also I always have my brightness at max!
I have the traxcell extended battery and its worth it. I love that I can still have a case for it
I have tried the extended batteries and have never been impressed. I just ordered the amazon batteries/charger deal suggested by davidstjohn1.
I seldom get through a day without changing my battery at least once. I figure since I paid a premium price for the Galaxy II I may as well enjoy the beauty of the screen. I got rid of the screen protector too and use rain-x on it which works great.

I also have the tpu cover. The back that comes with it is slippery so the case is a must for me. I had never dropped my phone before I put on the extended battery, then I dropped it twice that week. I ordered the case and have been fine since.
Right now I am at 17% with being on battery for 1d 10h on codename ROM. Sooooo worth it
Now it all comes back to me. I like the Samsung TPU cover and the one I got with my extended battery was a slippery POS. There is also the fatter profile. I like the lighter thinner look (as I wish my meat body was).
Rain-X is THE best solution I have found for fingerprints. Only works on glass though. I tried it on my Gtab first and now use it on my Galaxy S and even my eye glasses. I live in New York City so don't have/need a car but I once treated my windshield before a drive in the rain from LV to LA and didn't have to use the windshield wipers once - the raid just blew off.
