I haven't been able to use mine as much but no issues so far. My friend though has been using it since day 1 of release with no issues. Maybe find a case that covers buttons so you won't notice? Buyers remorse?

Oops, my bad, I was not aware you were looking for the actual button, I thought you meant maybe the button was not working, did not know you meant it is completely gone.
Not sure where to buy it but you can for sure replace it yourself. I had a customer's S3 St my Tmobile store that popped off because the case was too tight when we were removing it. I was able to line it up and pop it back in. If you can find just that physical button it is an easy fix.

Cheap extended battery from eBay

So I got bored and picked up a cheap 3800mah battery of eBay for around $10. I wanted to get the laza one with nfc but it isn't available in Canada. Once been running the cheapie for a few days now. I no longer have to charge at work and after 9 hours of light use on the weekend I am down less than one quarter.
Biggest downside is the supplied back doors not quite fit right.

Just an update. Battery life is consistently good. I leave work without charging at around 50%. Previously if I didn't charge while at work I would be down to 10-15%. I can play a hell of a lot of minecraft these days days. The issues with the back turned out to be from some plastic flashing. I cleaned up the edge and it sits snugger than the original back. Not bad for under$10

Extended OEM battery for the T-mobile Galaxy Nexus works great on our phone in the original case too! NFC capable.
Oh I can defiantly agree with that statement with an astrix, the old back does fit but it takes some force to get it to stay completely sealed and after about 6mo I had to replace the back of the device because the clips that held it on no longer worked properly just an FYI.....

Just bought this battery. I've been using it about 3 days and followed battery calibration instructions. So far I'm really not that impressed by it. I've heard with extended batteries it takes a few days to settle in...

So I hope yesterday was an indication as to how this battery will perform long term. We'll see.

Has anyone found a protective cover that will fit the new case for the bigger battery. I always like to protect the phone just in case it is dropped!

I don't mind answering questions at noon. I am on Galaxy S Bean Jelly Bean rom. I just hold down the power button and it's one of the choices.

My power button is so far gone that it doesn't work,at all.
How can I get into Odin mode so I can Odin back to stock if I have zero power button usability?
Any help appreciated.

You might know, isn't it possible to buy a power button and replace it myself?
Of course. You can get them off of eBay. If you aren't too good with a soldering iron or have never used one, I suggest either going to sprint or looking up mobiletechvideos.

Here's some info I posted awhile ago. I've personally used this jig twice when I bricked and couldn't get my phone to boot. Works like a gem!

About $10 on eBay
I had the same problem on mine. New switch fixed the issue. (Pretty damn tiny, but if you have a good soldering station and a steady hand, it's not TOO hard to replace)

Does changing back cover break NFC?

Anybody knows? On the original back door cover there's these two lil metal dots that look like they connect to the phone when you snap it on. I want to get one of those flip cases but not through Samsung since they charge so much. The third party covers are built the same but are missing the two metal dots.

Yes, the NFC chip is in the back cover, so you would need to buy a cover that has NFC.

Or just peel it of and put it on your new case since it is a sticker and will peel right off and sick to the new case.

This is true but aluminum covers will not work even if you do this.

You can also buy the nfc chip on ebay for about $4. It will stick right in the stock location.
