[Q] Files for Bootloader down? - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
I'm trying to unlock my bootloader, and it says "Bootloader Unlock Allowed = Yes"
But when trying to follow this guide :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1034371
But the links are all dead.
Does anyone know where I can follow a guide/obtain the necessary files to unlock my Play's Bootloader?
Thanks in advance!

I got the fastboot file from Arc section but I don't actually remember from which thread exactly. So, I am uploading it. Regarding the drivers install the latest version of PDAnet it will be enough. Follow the guide which you posted.

Sdk tools
On developers site its written that you need android sdk tools but you have only mentioned fastboot package with drivers..
So it is necessary to install sdk tools or only this rar file?
Thanks

Wether the device's bootloader is unlocked or not?
I tried unlocking the bootloader of my device: Sony Xperia M (C-1904) using cmd technique. It got finished successfully. But after i unplugged the phone from the pc and turned it on, it got stuck at bootloop. To solve this I tried to reflash the whole firmware (which i downloaded from Xperifirm) and i got success. My phone started working again. After that I rooted my phone again which was also successful. But now i don't know wether my device's bootloader is locked or unlocked. Can anyone tell me the easy way to check it??

Phone > *#*#7378423#*#* > Service info > Customisation. Rooting status will say "Bootloader Unlocked: yes". Re-flashing firmwares doesn't relock the bootloader.

As per you said, i tried that method and i got the result as:
"Rooting Status:
Bootloader Unlock: Yes"
So does it mean that my bootloader is unlocked.

Providing that it says "Bootloader Unlocked: yes", and not "Bootloader Unlock Allowed: yes", then yes it is unlocked.

What Windows version are you on, cappone76? Did the installation finish with a window showing a green tickmark next to the drivers you selected?

Google 'unlock bootloader'. Click the link to Sony's page, follow all the instructions until you get the bootloader unlock code and stop, no need to download the Android SDK as it says. Keep the code.
Before you unlock the bootloader, you may want to backup your TA partition, you can find the guide here on XDA.
After all that, in Flashtool, click the BLU icon, follow the steps and unlock the bootloader by entering the code you got earlier.

Your phone bootloader cannot be officially unlocked ... writes flashtool

[Q] How to know if the bootloader of my Xperia E (C1505) is properly unlocked?

Hi guys,
First post on this forum, so I apologize in advance if this is not the right section. I have an Xperia E phone and I'm following a guide I found on the net to install Cyanogenmod in it. In order to do it, I followed the official Sony guide to unlock the bootloader, they sent me the unlock code and I used fastboot to enter the code into the phone. After that, the phone got stuck in a bootloop and I had to use a program called Flashtool in order to flash the original ROM into the phone again.
Now, when I enter *#*#7378423#*#* on the phone's dial pad and go to "Service info > Configuration", I can see the following message:
Code:
Rooting status:
Bootloader unlock: Yes
:
The weird thing is every guide I've read on the net about unlocking Xperia devices claim the above message should be "Bootloader unlocked: Yes", so I'm slightly confused (note the difference between "unlock" in the above message and "unlocked"). I guess it is actually unlocked because I was able to use Sony's Flashtool to flash the original ROM, but some clarification on this would be useful since I'm planning to install Cyanogenmod and I wouldn't like to brick the phone by flashing a custom ROM on an unlocked phone.
Thanks in advance for any help!
I finally was able to install CM11 in the phone, so I guess the bootloader was unlocked after all. Now I'm having a couple of issues, but I'll open a new thread for that, since it's a different problem.
Regards.
