I've attached a couple, purely as a test. Not the best pictures I've taken - I'm hoping you guys can provide the good stuff
Apologies to those with the xda app if they don't take you to image shack and show just the thumbnail.
EDIT: If possible guys, can we please have a max dimension size of 640x480 or there-abouts in the thread (or thumbnails linking to dropbox/flickr/photobucket). There are some pretty big full sized pictures in the thread and it isn't entirely user friendly for some. I recommend photobucket for easy re-sizing and generating forum [/img] links with ease
Thanks for listening.

Put them in your public folder, copy public link, and post.

loving the camera so far. images are great quality, and the interface seems like a cinch to learn and appreciate. not expecting high-end point and shoot quality (even though its close). The fact that images look great and its fast and easy to use, make for a top notch phone camera! Can't wait to get mine when released for ATT just sitting on my upgrade...

I took these in Zürich last week. These are straight off the phone, no compression, no editing.
EDIT: After many cries I resized the pictures, although I believe providing full sized pictures would give more of an accurate representation.

No offense, but those are terrible pictures.
They actually don't look that bad when they're not at full size.
Yea umm, the next posters need to resize their pics before posting otherwise potential GNex owners might get the wrong impression.
Sorry, but I tend to agree with the other posters. Those pics are a horrible representation of the camera. I've taken much better night shots with the GNex, and I also have better night shots in Zurich that I took with my EVO a year or two ago. Awesome city though. The train station during Oktoberfest was very cool.
Edit - sorry, didn't mean to be so negative. I have to say that I've taken plenty bad pictures with dedicated point-and-shoots. I'm not really a photog type, but I have friends that are so I can honestly say nothing short of a nice DSLR and plenty of time playing with exposures, etc is going to get you a nice night shot. Even a very nice camera will take bad shots. Starting to ramble...that second pic is walking straight out of the train station though, right? Wow, it's very crowded. Anything in particular going on that night?
Are these any better?
Better, yes. Just got mine and I haven't taken a picture yet, but I'll miss the stellar camera in the SGS II. This is almost the same module as the Nexus S, correct? Perfectly usable camera in decent light.
After seeing shots from the GSII and owning a iPhone 4S... This thread saddens me. :/
Post your pictures, stop complaining.

I haven't used the camera app on gnex much yet, but I took a quick look yesterday. I couldn't find anything in the menu to adjust the resolution or picture detail (e.g. fine, super fine) like there was on my Captivate. Is there any way to adjust that in the settings?
I haven't really had a chance to take many pictures yet.

well unless they've made a NDGrad for the Nexus, you're always going to get black unless you HDR a couple of different exposure shots together..

to be brutally honest, the nexus camera doesn't cut it. The SGS2 and iPhone 4 camera is much much better. I remember when I first got the SGS2 the camera was very poor, and it improved drastically with firmware updates, so I am hoping for the same with the Nexus.

interesting, i hardly ever take photographs with my phone, but im quite happy with the results from the Nexus for a camera phone, and if they can improve it with updates over time, all the better..
In case you wondering what kind of picture quality the HTC One X and One S were capable of spitting out, we have a few images here that show off exactly what their new ImageSense technology is all about.
HTC, who has long been known for providing one of the lesser quality cameras on the market, made a pretty big deal about their new camera tech equipping their flagships with with f/2.o aperture/28mm lenses and they even going as far as giving their devices their own dedicated processor for snapping pics, dubbed “ImageChip.” In theory, ImageChip increases image quality while providing super quick autofocus and taking equally fast snapshots on the fly. The LED even features 5 levels of brightness which should eliminate those creepy washed out photos you take in dimly lit areas.

yes true but we have no idea of the settings used while taking the shots, and while nice, hoping for some testers to post some more real world shots!!
yes HTC said they gave the One X/S to some local photographers in Barcelona and they took these
Looks like a bunch of post processed shots to me, the color contrasts are way over the top.
Still nice pics regardless.

That's a good concern. I'm going to give HTC the benefit of the doubt on this one, based on the terrific camera specs and dedicated imaging chip, but who knows...

Hope that the Audio Beast go with One X
I only hope so that are really photos from one X becouse HTC has horrible camera with pink spot on the screen. My first HTC HD2 and now Desire Z have this
Very nice, it should look like this pictures! I'm fascinated.
In the HTC's facebook page for Spain they have a lot more pictures. Can't post external links, so go check it yourself.
It's actually the HTC France page and I don't know why they would post them to that page and not their USA page...weird. While I enjoy those shots, I wanna see how the camera shoots in Auto mode. Most of those pictures were shot using a filter or edited with some sort of app. Would like to see standard shots...lets go HTC!!

Interesting effort. How much does this rely on HTC's software? I'm curious whether you can maybe do anything to address the terrible number of dropped frames on the One X's stock camera app.

UPDATE:
I have managed to record at 24mbs as seen in this screenshot, this is at 19fps
However what I am experiencing at the moment is a large amount of lag between pressing the record button and the it displaying on the screen that it is recording, the bit rate seems to be a bit of hit and miss, it will record at 24mbs a second sometimes and others it will do 16mbs or less. I believe this is to do with the frame rate, so it looks like we will need to sacrifice frames for a higher bit rate.. more testing and trying things out needs to be done, but it looks like it may take a little longer before I public on this.
Can You try recording at 720p 10-12 mbps whit Htc camera ?
Thank you
But I think a constant high fps(~30) is more important than pure quality...

Why do you always try to question what I or others post? I was asking because it may make recording long sessions more comfortable. Go respond to all those bad screens being talked about in the tread you were very much active in before. Why not now? Cause it makes you look uneducated?
You should read more and post less.

You should read what I actually post and not get defensive. I was responding more to the the selfie stick question, not specifically to your question. I quoted two people, and my answer was for the thread, not just for you. Your comments was one I quoted only because it was relevant to what was attached to the phone, that there was an attachment in the first place -- for people who might not watch the entire video, they wouldn't know that. It was only apparent in the shadow, near the end of the video -- where I captured that screenshot.

The user said he didn't have a "stabilizer" or gimbal -- so I accept he didn't. Yet he did have some kind of attachment. My comment was for the people who thought he was artificially stabilizing the V30 video.
