Synergy makes the best weather lock screen out.

when you open your phone the weather items come at you almost like 3d.
Anyone know how to mod this to work on the SGS2 Touch? Would be truly awesome.

Looks nice, it'd be great if it was possible to port or something to this phone.

This requires HTC Sense. I worked on some of these in the past but until someone ports Sense to the Epic Touch your probably going to be out of luck.

That's more of a feature mod for HTC Sense. Hopefully, when swamp golbin gets his Epic Touch and ports sense we'll get to see that beautiful lockscreen
Try beautiful widgets. VERY nice to weather widget

Be Weather looks amazing. But I see it's using Weather Underground data. Since they were bought buy The Weather Channel Companies a couple weeks ago I bet they're going to stop support.
Thanks. Been using be weather. It is pretty awesome. I like the option to place weather in the status bar and drop down. Cool stuff.
Wish the original maker was still making this awesome weather lockscreen.
I tried it out and while it is pretty cool, I did not see an option for a transparent widget. Only way I can use a weather app with a widget on my homescreen since I want to see my wallpaper as well. Mind you I am talking about the free version. The pro might have it but I didn't want to pay to find out that such a widget did not exist for this app.

True MiUI does have separate wallpapers, But i have tested and tried, WidgetLocker. It has a option to have alternate wallpaper. Its worth the money for just to coolness of having a Custom lockscreen. Try it out its like $3.00 in the market.

Pick up an 1800 mah battery? $20 and well worth it.
LockBot Pro. Look for it in Applanet none battery killer. Has more then one type of lock and deep customization of your favorite lock screen.

Widgetlocker was pretty great with all the features it has. But ultimately, the fact that it occasionaly displayed the normal lockscreen for half a second before it kicked in when turning the screen on, killed it for me.
Also it did drainmy battery a bit more than usual. Great idea, but needs more work.
Lockbot pro is well worth the couple bucks it costs my wife uses it on her vibrant you can use different wallpapers and like 6 different lock styles she seams to enjoy it.

I recommend trying Widget Locker, you can customize/add sliders, as well as a different lock screen Wallpaper. I've been using it for a few days now

I'm looking for a Sense style flip clock/weather widget to use with CM7. I know, since its AOSP, that thats a mighty high request. But heres my reasoning. Ive seen some ROM's and themes that use the Sense Clock widget on a Non-Sense build. And its not Beautiful Widgets or Fancy Widget. Its seems like its the same clock to a T. I would use BW, but I'm anal about my homescreen, and the fact the corners on so sharp on the BW is just ugly to me. I know theres physically no way to get Sense widgets on an AOSP build, but anyone know of any widgets that are exactly the same?
There is an older Fancy Widget apk floating around which is almost indistinguishable from the Sense flip clock.

thats awesome. would you know where i could find such a thing?
Just search for Sense Analog Clock on the Market and there are some nice ones and they are free. Mine shows Time, date, Internal memory free, RAM free, Battery temp, Battery % and weather. You can also download free skins for it to make it look the way you want it.
that ones not bad. but I remember the beautiful widgets looking almost exactly like the sense clock. anyone know where I can get this?

I sent you a PM.
EDIT: Actually for some reason, it isn't letting me send the PM. "Private Messaging is temporarily unavailable"
EDIT2: If you search teh Google for Fancy Widget v1.2.4 or Fancy Widget v1.3.0 -- I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.
I think fancy widgets is closer. If you get the pro, there are skins you can get that make it pretty much identical.
Here is a post with a bunch of themed fancy widget apks that close to the sense clock:

that's exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
Hi does any1 no if htc sence clock and weather widget work on SGS2? if so where can i find it?, if not anyone no of the best looking widget thats identical to it?

Without any doubt, "Beautiful Widgets". There are tons of Sense themes to this set of widgets.

I personally use the SuperClock with SuperSense theme. Looks very good and "sensy" to me.

the htc sense widgets are built into the sense launcher, i believe they aren't available as separate apks. attached is the beautifulwidgets superclock with supersense theme.

Using LauncherPro instead of TouchWiz. A lot more customisation.
carnt seem to find the sence in there, i just have a standard 1 installed in there and a tab for downloaded skins which just trys to loads skins but not doing anything i guess its supposed to me in there?
Yes the sense skin will be under the download tab.
Do a google search for "fancywidget.apk" This is the clock you are looking for. Its been pulled from most places im guessing for HTC copyright infringements but you can still find it if you look hard enough.
The app is called LP classic sense (you also get sense theme for your LP+ widgets) it's EXACTLY the same as fancywidget (wich was taken of the market way long ago)
I would have posted a screenshot but im not aloud yet
Yes but you need to install LauncherPro in order to get it and therefor get charged. You can still get fancywidget and use it with any launcher without having to pay for LauncherPro and the Sense add-on!!
I got lp sence and clock widget from market which the clock is good but i thought it come with sence wallpaper but no sign of it

Not true. Fancy Widget is still on the Market with the HTC weather clock style. The clock and weather skins are both called 'H7C'.
"Not true. Fancy Widget is still on the Market with the HTC weather clock style. The clock and weather skins are both called 'H7C'"
Thats now gone from the market also. I get the impression that LauncherPro now have exclusive rights to this clock and they are not letting anyone else have it!!

I just said above you that it is there. I have just checked again... it is there!
Look at my screenshot.
What would you buy? HD Widgets or Beautiful Widgets?
HD Widgets got an update today and are on sale now. Not sure if it is a good deal.
Maybe somebody tried both?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I have both. I only use HD Widgets because it's very polished. Beautiful Widgets allows you to install different themes for the widgets, which is awesome, but when I used it the selection was unappealing to me. I'm sure there are more themes now, though.
Never used HD Widgets, but Beautiful Widgets has a loooot of themes.
Here's my home screen widget just for reference. I'm using the full screen widget for the Galaxy Note (5x5).

I've had beautiful Widgets since my Droid 1, 2 years ago.
I like it, and for $3 I really got my use out of it. After getting my nexus though, the screen is so brilliant, I kind of don't want to take up half that space with a clock widget. I think I might just finally be done with clock apps, I do remember trying HD widgets way back in the day and deciding on Beautiful Widgets.
I guess for me, I say BW only because I know what I'm getting, and the themes are great. It's really easy to get away from the default HTC look.
I also have both but the new HD Widgets beta version the weather does not work.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
For my Nexus I'm using BW since it has a lot of customisation options (although I really hate how the location name disappears under the weather icon for places with long names). I have HDW as well which I use on my Transformer Prime since BW has awful scalability for large screens. I very much prefer the widget layout of HDW but I can't find a theme on it that I really like over BW.
Sent from my Transformer Prime TF201 using Tapatalk 2
i too have both...BW for phone, HDW for tablet
i hadn't had HDW on my phone in ages and installed the latest 'update'...it was crashing ALL day, even without an active widget i was getting a "hd widgets has crashed" popup, but worse than that for me, the widget was only displaying in farenheit even though i'd selected celsius, which makes it totally useless gibberish
i won't be updating to the new version on my tablet
I have also bought both of them. Beautiful Widgets feels like it works better for a phone interface because the 4x2 Clock/Weather widget looks like it fits better on the screen and is highly themeable (for us who flash new themes and ROMs frequently).
I use HD Widgets for my tablet as the giant clock/weather widgets fit the screen much better than Beautiful Widgets does and the transparency and light theming works on my tablet as i don't flash with it nearly as much.
Just my thoughts
As with some posters above, I am a long-time BW owner, going back to the early days of the OG Droild. I loved it back then. Now, the look of those big clocks with overly-dramatic weather icons looks so 2009 to me.
After getting the GNex, I just couldn't devote so much homescreen space and I didn't want something that looked so "tired" to me, so I bought Make Your Clock Widget Pro. I designed a minimalistic "clock" widget and it's been in service on my GNex for months now. For me, it's perfect, and it's unique - just what I want, how I want it - nothing else.
Consider escaping the BW/HD Widgets look, and just go make your own.
Here’s a screenshot…
Thanks!!!
Make your clock is totally great!
I installed a free version and one widget even works. And this is ok for me.
Not sure if weather works. But I will check that later. Clock was a priority.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
You are welcome!
Nice design btw!
HD Widgets beta 3.0.1 latest play store update keeps crashing an constantly sending crash reports to google, chewing the fu#k out of my battery life with crash reports every 2 minutes even with widget removed.

I use Beautiful widgets.
Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations on what decent HD resolution clock widgets with weather-(not overly important though) there is out there?
Ive looked easily looked through 100 and without installing them all and seeing what each one is like they all look very similar
I like a fairly stock look - clean, tidy but not too minimalistic, but not busy, loud and in you face either (power consuming).
For the past 2 years i've been using the Chrome Rings clock/weather widget from OneMoreClock (copied from the Motorola Razr i think?) which was lovely but looks dated now, i like the 4x2 widget size but would happily use one at 4x1.
so any input/help from anyone would be great and thanks in advance :highfive:
