If somebody gets the OTA on NON YAKJU devices, please be so kind to post it here with the build of your phone (eg. YAKJUXW) and your location. Thanks.
For me: stock YAKJUXW Singapore: no OTA yet
No OTA for my YAKJUXW device yet. From Singapore also...makes me wonder if we are being left out by Google
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Xw devices typically one month lag. I lost patience so I unlocked and changed to YAKJU 4.0.4. It doesn't change warranty status and remains upgradable for future updates from Google. Just unlock don't need to root.

but it is sure that the device be updated with build yakjuxw although with more time, I would not want that are not updated at all ... sorry use google translator for English
I dont mind 1 month delay too. just as long as it comes.

Impossible to know. After the yakju rollout of 4.0.2 some builds got the update just weeks later. Due to various delays some in Canada and other places have yet to receive 4.0.2. If Google stops the yakju rollout to fix the signal dropping issue then everyone could be pushed back. It could be days or weeks or months.
There is a new ota update for yakju which should fix the issues of 4.0.4, maybe this is the right time for us yakjuxw to finally get an update as well

maybe we yakjuxw ppl are lucky because the yakju guys are testing the new roms for us )

Based on previous updates, non-yaku builds will get the update notification no earlier than one week after the first yakju build got it. So you have a few more days to wait...
yakjuxw, still no update for 4.0.4
sad case
Still Nothing... (yakjuxw )
Since first 4.0.4 OTA for yakju it's already over a month of lag.
At least I don't have any major issues with my device, do I will keep waiting patiently ;-)

Hi guys !
I just wanted to say that SFR France announced Android 4.0.5 for the Galaxy Nexus, and it should arrive on March according to them. Given the fact that they modify the ROM, the official build may arrive sooner !
Picture/Link/Proof or didn't happen.
http://android.sfr.fr/maj-optimisez-votre-mobile-android-mettez-le-a-jour-previsions-7
Course, I'd rather see 4.0.4 for GSM at the moment
Such a table can everyone create. I dont trust such news without evidence.
4.0.4 and 4.0.3 aren't official released yet and you're debating about 4.0.5.
I heard it makes the battery last for a week on 1 charge.
This website is official.(sfr)
Sfr is a French mobile provider and they always provide "such a table" about future firmware update.

Oh seems nice. I'm SFR user and will reposte here if I get the ota in Mars. I wonder how they'll modify the room. If it turn out to be worse than custom roms I'll not be surprised.
With all the ics version numbers flying around it's hard to keep track. This 4.0.5 thingy would probably be something similar to 4.0.4 for Verizon LTE update but exclusive for SFR users.

And yes the website is official.
4.0.3 isn't out for perfection reasons I think [sorry my bad again, 4.0.3 isn't meant for GNex apparently] and 4.0.4 is exclusive for [scratch that] LTE users, so SFR users getting a 4.0.5 update is not really surprising.

You wont get any evidence before it is actually released. SFR can say whatever they want, and any Android developper can, too.
I'm just sorry I did not post a link first.
No x.x.x version is exclusively for a specific carrier.

OK my bad. Not exclusive for Verizon but probably for LTE version.
Fact is I don't know any of this for sure
So, Google is going to fragment the Galaxy Nexus line?
Heh.

Depending on what changed it may be an incremental update to address LTE /CDMA issues. If this is the case it would not be pushed to GSM handsets. This was done with the Nexus S / Nexus S 4G. It has nothing to do with exclusivity but does lead to devices running different minor versions.
When appropriate an OTA will be pushed for GSM devices as well, it may be 4.0.4 or a later minor release such as 4.0.5.

Is the 4.0.4 build for Verizon? I just did check for update on an unlocked unrooted phone, it said it was up to date on 4.0.2.

It certainly is.
Same as 2.3.x versions in the past. 4.0.4 is not officially out. One user got it, we helped pull it. Thats not enough to draw such conclusions from. LTE issues will be resolved in ril and radios. That can be shipped with any build.
Don't forget LTE telephony code is now native to Android as of ICS. There is no reason for fragmentation.

It doesn't get rolled out based on region, so just wait for the reports/reviews to come trickling in in the next few days.
Got some exciting news for you.
Earlier today, Google pushed Android 4.0.4 (IMM76D) to the AOSP repositories. So not long now till we see the devs releasing updated custome roms

there is no 4.0.5 hehe
cdma will have 4.0.4 in next week (april)..that ur 4.0.5 people was talking about, but is named 4.0.4..
4.0.5 was just a joke about the 4.0.4 not going to be out because of the 404 "not found" joke..
JBQ: I did joke internally that people made up unfounded rumors about 4.0.5 because each time they looked for something about 4.0.4 they got "not found". Now that 4.0.4 is out, I guess I can make the joke in public

Videotron, not Verizon. Reading is tough, that's cool.
OP, you may want to just flash the update manually. If my experience with the Nexus One is indicative, Videotron seems to sell phones with OS versions that are not set to get prompt updates.

Videotron GNex's, like all Canadian GNex's, run the yakjuux build, for which there is no update available yet (aside from a leak). There is no difference in the software between a Videotron GNex or a Bell Gnex or any other Canadian GNex.
The options available to you are:
1) Flash the leak from here. Note that it disables NFC.
2) Convert your yakjuux build to yakju or takju, both of which are already on 4.0.4, and both are supported directly by Google so they get updates first.
3) Wait until you receive the OTA update notification yourself on your yakjuux build.
Hey guys,
I'm considering buying a gnex from Amazon stores, but only if I'm sure I'll be able to instantly upgrade to JB.
But after reading some posts on this forum - some users seem to not have KB?
I have even seen a thread titled "to those lucky enough to have jb...".
So, what's the story, and is buying from amazon worth it?
Cheers,

Pretty sure Play Store is only available to the US.
But as the other user said, Flash Takju (efrant has a great guide available) and you'll be able to pull the update straight away.
Questions you may have:
You can keep the bootloader locked...
No need to have custom anything on the phone. Or "root" it. Your phone will be exactly the same as if you bought it directly from Google.
And since the device will be brand new, you're not going to be losing any data.
From this point forward you'll always receive updates directly from Google. AKA as soon as they're available.
Thanks for the info.
Also, what do all of the yakju / takju words mean?
Cheers

Also,do I need any kind of root for changing ???
Could this be good tutorial how to change from yakjuxw to yakju :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1787503
yes you can try that or you can use galaxy nexus toolkit, there is some way to do it, yes it's can cause lost warranty but this is galaxy nexus dude we can do what other phone can't do,you can relock, unroot or even back to yakjuxw version for warranty,
good luck n sorry for my bad English
