http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Gal...l-core-/200739106754?_trksid=p1468660.m200036 it is a good price IMO, but the description says it is 3g. Will it work, or will I screw myself by buying it.
That's a GSM model. Considering it says "unlocked" and "GSM" in the description...
i9250 will NOT work on Verizon. You need i515.

The GSM model is "plummeting" worldwide. Phones get cheap 4+ months after they're for sale. Not a huge demand for it either honestly.

The link doesn't work for me either. Type "Nexus Canada" or something similar in Google search and use the link it gives from there and you'll see at the bottom there are selections for Canada English and French.
http://www.google.ca/nexus is working fine for me here, in Canada...

The big Canadian carriers (Rogers, Bell and Telus) use bands compatible with AT&T. Some smaller ones like WIND Mobile use bands compatible with T-Mobile. But doesn't a "petaband" phone mean the Galaxy Nexus would work on both? (someone please confirm or correct me on that)
Yes. Pentaband means it carries the 1700 band aka aws. The other 4 are 850/900/1900/2100.
I invented cyberspace. You're trespassing.
Can we get some confirmation that it actually is coming on the 14th - a link from a credible source?
Until then, I remain skeptical.

This phone is pentaband. It works on AT&T (so Canadian carriers) AND on T-mo.
If you're ever worried then just look at the official spec sheets. Its going to work on any GSM carrier in the world pretty much.

Not even a peep. No one knows at this point. If you want it, you're gonna have to just go off contract and buy the international one.

Are you using a Galaxy Nexus on T-Mobile? That'd explain it... Pretty sure the market just reads the build.prop and the carrier ID.
My N1 had always shown with no carrier ID, because T-Mo didn't officially support the N1...

Not really. All Nexus One phones were sold directly from Google.
Yes, T-Mobile offered a plan to users who wish to sign up with a two-year contract. This was very limited as it was only for customers who were on individual plans.
Nexus One was never marketed or advertised in T-Mobile corporate stores or their website.

Well just because DT owns T-Mobile USA doesn't mean they both get products at the same time... They announce and run their own product lines and deals separate of each other.

Dude, I'm from Lancashire...
If you are talking T-Mobile USA... I say yes, its the unlocked GSM galaxy nexus. Negri supposedly has it for 575 shipped after coupon for the 16gb version. That's not much more than I paid for my grey market daily steals gsm galaxy nexus. After inflation its not much more than the 520 dollar nexus s I bought day one. True, its not subsidized, but if you plan on keeping the phone for any length of time you potentially pay less staying off contract. More up front, but less on the back end. Plus you get access to almost everything in the app store. I still can't get wallet working with my nexus s but this one works out of the box. Plus square trade is less than T-Mobile warranty or geek squad (us GSM nexus s only available at best buy). Save up a little or pay it on credit and pay over time, but in the 500s this is a great phone for T-Mobile given the features. Unsubsidized 32gb model on Verizon is 645 new so...

No it doesn't.
T-Mobile UK is an independently operated wholly-owned subsidiary of Everything Everywhere. Everything Everywhere is partially owned by Deutsche Telekom.
T-Mobile US is an independently operated wholly-owned subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom.
But really the ownership matters less than the fact that all of the T-Mobile networks run quite independently of each other. So to get back to it, it does matter for people to specify 'which' TMO they're referring to. Of course, this one should have been pretty clear based upon OP's information.

He/she means MetroPCS, which is CDMA/LTE.
Short answer: No.
Long answer: MetroPCS is on a different frequency for LTE than Verizon so at best, you will get CDMA and voice, but I wouldn't count on even that.

The GSM version is pentaband. This is not GSM.
The CDMA Nexus supports these bands:
2G Network CDMA 800 / 1900
3G Network CDMA2000 1xEV-DO
4G Network LTE 700 MHz
MetoPCS is the same as above, except:
4G Network LTE 1700 MHz

Yes. The CDMA/LTE version of the Galaxy Nexus was made specifically for Verizon USA. It is not sold or able to be used anywhere else in the world (except under Verizon roaming plans in specific markets).
That's wrong. MetroPCS is listed as a provider for the phone, so I assume they will include a radio that supports them (after the crappy VZ only 90 day embargo)..

No...you are wrong.
No radio flash changes the frequencies of internal radios.
So once again, can the Verizon model be flashed to MetroPCS and have everything working?
--No, it cannot.
I realize this is an incredibly old thread, but we don't need confusion filling the forums for those who search.
CDMA Galaxy Nexus cant be flashed unless you can find a way to connect as a DIAG PORT.... I tried already flashing a Verizon Galaxy Nexus Over To PagePlus Cellular and i couldnt find a way to connec to CDMA Workshop....
So like other people posted before it cannt be flashed to MetroPCS

What they said. You can however sell your Verizon Nexus and buy an unlocked GSM one. That's the route I went.
How many times must this be answered
It won't work. Just sell yours and pony up a few extra $$ for the difference to buy a GSM model.
Just curious, but were your CDMA GNex's having problems? I've tried about 4 of them (via VZW customer replacement policy) and keep having one way audio dropouts. This combined with Google's decision to remove CDMA devices from AOSP support has me thinking of selling mine and getting the GSM version.
If I may, how much were you guys able to recoup by selling them? Is there a market for these CDMA versions?

On the XDA marketplace the CDMA Nexus is going for $400-$450. You could probably expect about the same on Craigslist. I have the GSM and got it for $565. As far as your bad handsets, it sounds like you have just been unlucky. I wouldn't sell just because of Google dropping AOSP support. I don't think it will affect the Galaxy Nexus very much if at all, and it is still going to be the most dev'd phone on Verizon. I do think it will affect future Nexus devices making their way to Verizon though.
