Hi All,
I just got my One X, and want to transfer all my apps and games (with game data) to my One X. Since it is not rooted yet, I can't use titanium backup to restore, any other method so that I can key my angry birds, ceramic destroyer status??
Thx!

Sorry for such a noob question but I've searched and can't find it? I'm upgrading from Captivate to a Galaxy s2. I've done a full back-up via titanium back-up on the captivate. When the S2 arrives, do I just restore it on that or will that not work between different model phones?
From my experience, it does not work properly. The apps reinstall, but the data on some apps does not transfer over. I had to start Stupid Zombies all over again, for example.
Thanks for that. I'll go to my plan b, write down the aps I have currently and just reload them via the market when the new phone arrives
The 75 apps I had on my Desire Z all restored fine onto my SGS2.
I also restored my call list/sms/mms with MyBackup Pro.
If you just want to make a list of your installed apps you can export a list with aTrackDog
I was also able to use all my backups from my desire and restore onto my sgs2 without any trouble.

If I could also ask something...
I had the SGS and now I have the SGS2...I made a backup of everything with titanium backup and after the restore an the new phone the memo app (Samsung notepad app) didn't return my notes which is VERY important to me...Is there a way to open and read my notes??

I suggest you try restoring user apps with data (letting alone system data).
If something goes wrong you can reinstall the specific application.
You can also restore user apps without data if you wish.

I would just reinstall apps no data.
There is also an app called Sharemyapps that you can use to send yourself or friends a list of your apps in email/text etc

I'm rooted running AOKP build 28. Just download temple run as I'm sure all of you have. I just wanted to know how to back up my game data when flashing new roms. I Also have titanium backup. Didn't know if I could use that app....

On the Backup/Restore tab in Titanium, you can backup the apps individually. Doing it by batch would be easier, plus nothing beats having a backup of all installed apps plus system apps.
What backup will restore game save data?
I just flashed a ROM and was disappointed to see my high scores no longer present.
I've restored a nandbackup and will try and rebackup my games to see if the data will be saved this time...
EDIT: Absolutely ridiculous, lost my high scores.

you can also use adb backup
Afaik contrary to the above post TiBu does NOT back up game data! Yes TIBu backs up application data, but I dont believe game data is included. Try the app SyncIt beta by Jug6ernaut.
It depends on the game.

PRO Does, at least it will back it up if you allow it to, the default is to back it up if it has up to 30MB of data, but you could set the threshold as high as you want... Altough I've never tried doing that.
Hi There,
Can someone help me to " How to take backup of your applications"/
I have around 35 applications installed in my SII. I am recently moved from iPhone to Samsung Galaxy SII.
I found much easier and excellent features in SII instead of iPhone. But in Iphone if you wants to take backup of your applications only you need to connect Iphone with Itunes and all done but in SII, I didn't find this kind of option to save my applications.
Please suggest.
Thanks.
Kam
Titanium Backup Pro is my recommendation:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackupPro
There is a free version also, but the pro version allows "Batch" restores, rather than restoring each app individually. And there are a multitude of other backup features.
I couldn't live without it.
(Note-You need to install the free version first.)
User guide is here:
http://www.titaniumtrack.com/kb/titanium-backup-kb/titanium-backup-user-guide.html
Or a great free alternative is here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.app.managerfree
There are other backup alternatives in the Play Store, but these are my favorites.
Regards.
Try this, works great

Hey there, I use 91 pcsuite, it is installable in win7. It has a great backup function and when I flash new rom, I wipe everything, then transfer .zip to sd card, and then flash the rom. Upon rebooting, just connect sgs2 to pc via usb, open 91 pc suite and bobs your uncle, or your aunt, depending on which way he swings.

I just bought the 2013 Nexus 7 and downloaded all my apps. How do I port over my CSR Racing and Real Racing 3 saved progress from my Nexus 7 2012? I have spent hours and hours playing these 2 games not to mention made in app purchases i don't wanna start all over. I don't have a FB signing in via social media isn't an option.
If there's any app that'll do the job quick & easily it'll be Titanium Backup. Backup app+data from the old and restore on the new.

You could try helium.

I have used it before.
Doesn't one of the new google services transfer over saved game data also.

Copy the respective data folders from your old nexus' sd card, and paste them in the right place on the new nexus.
If there are any additional folders, google them, and find them in your old nexus and paste them here too. I did it in Raging Thunder game I used to play on my old Desire, and even Smash Cops Heat, though I don't play them anymore, they worked back then with all data intact..
Easy peasy
open titanium backup> backup those games> plug your nexus 7 to the PC, and get the folder in sdcard/titaniumbackup, then plug your new nexus 7 and transfer the folder to it.
now open titanium backup in your nexus 2013 and restore the games.
First thing we need to know is if you are rooted or not. Titanium and many other backup apps only work if you are rooted.

Titanium is a real arse in my case. Hugely messy, and doesn't seem to wok in my case. i've tried it on two devices, my old desire and new nexus, but it seems to like being stuck. Often used to cause bootloops on my old Desire, and now doesn't work on my new nexus, so I've ditched it, and I'm using other methods for that.

Using Helium partially worked I was able to upload my game save files to Dropbox but I couldn't restore them down to my N72013 Helium kept giving an error message. So I don't know where exactly to copy & paste gaming files to on the N72013

If you have helium on both devices, you can sync the data of any app between the two. Works great.
Hi all, may sound like a dumb question, but had a hox for ages and have it exactly as I want it...is there a way for me to basically have my hox on my new HTC one (delivery tomorrow)? ie all apps, games favourites contacts numbers etc without starting from scratch? I'm currently running arhd 31.2 on the hox and the first thing I will do is root and flash arhd for the one. Then I will go about trying to solve my original question.....any ideas?
Thanks
