My 3G & HSDPA connection it's not working - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone, for a couple of days now I've been having problems with the 3G connection of my Desire HD with Revolution HD 7.0.3, as far as I know the phone's APN configuration is ok and it was working fine (for at least 3 weeks). Does anyone else have the same problem with their Rom or phone? or, does anyone know what can I do to fix it?
Any other ideas are welcome
P.S. sorry for my English

Edit: I try my simcard on a Nokia N97 mini and it does 3G connection so it must be my Desire HD. Does anyone know how can I fix it? Thank you!!!!

Try reflashing the ROM. Don't wipe anything, just flash the ROM zip. Maybe some setting is messed up and this will reset it, hopefully.

Internet(Wifi and 3G) going down after screen timeout

Hey all.
My internet stops after 15min when screen is off.
Happened on leedroid and djdroid so far.
Anybody else having same issues?
BOTH wifi and 3G
forgot to say that lol

Yeah i have also had this issue on Cyanogenmod 6 roms. Defrost rom and OpenDesire rom both claim to have fixed it however neither of them are sense roms and i haven't personally tested them.
I've had that issue before with older versions of defrost and and the devillian froyo sense rom, i've changed to Pays froyo sense rom and so far havent experienced the wifi timeout

i reckon it's because of using wifi n, if you use the normal wifi g mode, meaning the unedited bcm4329.ko, it works fine without any problems... give it a go, cheers...

[Q] Internet randomly stops working

Hey guys I just got my HTC Desire (Telus version) today and so far im loving. I setup the 3G to work with my carrier (Fido) and everything works fine and dandy, but the problem is after a while of not using the phone and then unlocking it to go back on the internet doesn't seem to work. The 3G and WiFi are still on but I need to turn them off then back on for it to work. Has anyone had problems with that before?
Cheers
Okay so I pinpointed the problem, supposedly when the screen turns off and the phone goes into Power Save Mode the WiFi loses connection. Does anyone have any ideas about what I can try? I bought the phone and its running android 2.2 and it is running Cyamogenmod-6.0.2-Desire.
Should I downgrade to android 2.1 just to see if it may work? Or maybe a different rom? I'm open to anything right now as I think I may sell the phone cause of this problem.
I don't have this problem with NeoPhyte's AuraxTSense 8.0 rom, I would kindly suggest that you give it a try.

[Q] TrickDroid 2.0 issue: limited service

hello,
i really like this rom, but there seems to be an issue:
i sometimes get the notification "limited service - emergency calls only", although i just had full signal. i have to change into flight mode then and enter my pin again, then the signal is back, but only for 5-10 minutes. then its gone again..
is there any possibility to fix this?
version 1.1.0 didnt have this issue (or at least not so often, perhaps one time in 2-3 days), but 2.0 has certainly gone worse with this..
regards
PS: I used the "All In One Fix" to get rid of the phone tab issue. could there exist a connection with this?

You have also flashed the radio?
How radio currently using?
sorry for my english
hi!
sorry, i should have mentioned..
my radio is:
12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28_M
But I really think that this problem is rom related, because trickdroid is the first rom in which this problem occures. furthermore the difference between version 1.1.0 and 2.0.0 is very large: 1.1.0 has this problem, too, but just once a day or so, 2.0.0 very 10-15minutes..
regards
Your device is a HD A9191??

I have tested this ROM and i didn't face any such problem.
why don't you wipe everything and try to flash it again. This might solve your problem
The DHD with NextG frequencies is the A9192 (telus).
The DHD released by Voda / 3 and European carriers is the A9191
A9193: i don't remember
----------------------------------------------------------------
Rom installation:
wipe all partition: data, system, boot, cache, dalvik.
and install the rom.
If the problem persists try this radio:
A9192 Radio_12.56.60.25_26.10.04.03_M
A9191 Radio_12.62.60.27_26.13.04.19_M
Radio Thread

i guess i have a9191 then. i will try to flash your recommended radio, thanks for your advice! but i dont have really much time this week, otherwise i would have tried to flash once again as you also said, GLADS but i will, at the very latest at the weekend.

[Q] HTC One V - Problems with 3G connection :(

Hi there,
my girlfriend has some problems with the 3G connection of her HTC One V, hopefully one of you can help us
She´s using an o2 simcard in her One V. If the One V is powered on for some hours/mintues at a time it happens that the 3G connection isn´t working any longer?
You can still see the H(SDPA) / E(DGE) symbol in the topbar, but nothing is working?
If she turns off and on her mobile connection, nothing happens.... 3G is still not working.
The only way to get the 3G connection working again is to turn the flight mode on and off again. After that everything is working as usual.
(A reboot is also working)
As I got my HTC Desire 2 1/2 years ago I had the same problem,... after an android update everything was working as it should.
But these 3G problems are really quite annoying
Is there anybody out there who has (had) the same problems?
She´s using the HTC stock android 4.0.
Hopefully it´s not a hardware defect
Thanks for your answers so far.

Try to change the sim card(preferably of a diff operator) and post in the q and a:thumbup:
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
that´s not so easy because she has a contract with o2 ...
I don´t believe that this is a hardware error, because after booking in into the cellphone network everything works as it should... but then after some time it suddenly happens that the 3G network is dead
i have to ask, but is the back cover on?
of course, back cover is on. I also don´t think that this has something to do with the back cover (or any other hardware) because like i just said after switching the flightmode on and off everything works as it should ... i´ve googled in the meantime and I found some other people who are also on android devices and they´re having the same problem.
here´s a german article of people who´re having the same problem
http://petitionen.com/p/internet-vverbindungsprobleme-bei-android-smartphones/sign
This also confirm my doubts... I had the same behavior on my old HTC Desire ... but after I´ve flashed another rom everything has worked perfectly
seems to be an android specific problem

Its not gsm, right?? You can't get a sim from somewhere , out it temporarily and try?
Sent from my One V using xda app-developers app
it´s a GSM smartphone...
well, actually i have no chance to try another simcard in the phone...
Moved to Q&A. Please ask all questions there.
Could it be possible that the problem is due to the baseband version her One V is using?
If I remember right i´ve upgraded the radio rom, too when i was flashing my Desire 2 years ago. After the whole flashing procedure the error was gone?
I had the same problem. REBOOT and it worked again
Edit: if you're saying that this happens occasionally you'll have to bare with it. Mine happened every 20 days or so

have you try using another carrier? or is your phone primo c?
If the phone is locked to a carrier he can't use another sim to get service I think he's trying to say, so sim from another carrier is out of the question.

well, i mean if he can temporarily change sim with his/her friend just to make sure what's wrong..
the phone isn´t locked to the carrier, but i don´t want to buy a new simcard just to make sure if the phone is working correctly. I´ve already thought about installing a custom rom.
Can anyone advise a good custom rom for One V which is working correctly with all functions? (Maybe a Jellybean Rom?)
Thanks so far!

Are you sure HSDPA means falling back? Imho it's only a type of 3G and it is really fine if you see H for mobile data mode. I might be wrong or this might be treated differently by country/operator.

As i only reach about 80 kb/s down speed and it does show 3G logo from time to time, but it turns back to H, when i try to use it.

[Q] Mobile network problem

So I've got this problem like a week ago and I thought it is a little bug but then I saw it isn't. I tried installing another rom but it didn't help. My problem is that my phone is connected to my network operator and then for some reason disconnect and when I have my network I can't go on internet(online), wifi works. I would be really glad if someone can help me. I got an htc one v(GSM) with beaver rom and titanium kiss kernel. Can anyone suggest what could I do to solve this problem. Thanks for reading
