#case ology# #hybrid hard soft skin case# - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Accessories

So I just got my Case Ology hybrid case from Ebay..
So thought to share my reviews with everyone
And am really happy with the quality of the material!!
The main part of the case is made out of silicone gel that covers the entire phone. The 2nd layer is a hard plastic perforated shell that covers the back and sides of the silicone gel....It looks really beautiful.
The silicone gel gives a better tactile feedback while pressing the volume rocker and the power button.
Its slim and gives a good grip in the hands.
Have been an Otter Box fanboy however its a lot slimmer than those!!
Price on ebay is somewhere around $9.99

Cool! Thanks for the post. I was actually doubting about buying one of these cases (there are a bunch of them on eBay, dealextreme, etc.) and after seeing some real pictures of them I must say I'm going to take the plunge. They look really nice hehe.
Thanks again!

Case looks pretty good!! Thanks for posting!!

Glad you liked it bub!!

This is actually a very common case, so here is a link to find them on eBay:

Best TPU Case Imo

http://www.ebay.com/itm/TPU-Cases-S...s=63&clkid=5450595014366325529#ht_2001wt_1139
i think this is the best tpu case i have ever gotten for any of my phones.
TPU cases usually cover the buttons and make it very difficult to press buttons, or may be slightly too big for the phone so its not a snug fit.
This case that i got for the phone fits it perfectly, no loose sides, its tight just like how a condom should be
PROS, buttons are cut out, and its matte, great feel, fits perfectly
CONS, 10 bucks for a tpu case?? >:[ being that usually they're $2-5!
buy it! im happy with the case check it out!
I second this; it's a nice case (I don't have any experience with other cases, though). I got it from Amazon.com for around $6.
I will also second that, great case, I also have the trident aegis which is great when I am at work, other wise I change to this case when I am at home.
yep...great case still one of my favorites
Agree! this case is amazing. I also have the D30 from T-mobile store. Both are very good. But the D30 offers more protection.
I have this case as well. I got it on amazon for $11
Fits very well, all buttons are easily accessible. I also bought an Xtremeguard screen protector (screen, back, and 4 sides) but with this case the back and sides are superfluous. Smarter shopping and you could probably get a screenprotector + this TPU case for about $12 and get great protection for your phone.
i agree, this is the best tpu case ive ever owned or used. its cut outs for the buttons make it feel like the case isnt even there and its super thin and fits great. i got mine for 11 on amazon but i got the smoked clear one. here is some pics if it helps anyone out. just make sure u get the Revision 2 one. because i guess the first cases they made blocked the mic at the bottom. u can see in my pics that mine isnt blocked because its the Revision 2 version which they fixed that issue

It's actually not slippery at all. There is a bit of tacky-ness to it from the TPU material.
Just got this last week from Amazon and it's amazing. Definitely the best one hands down.

Which is the thinest lightest case?

Ive read every review in this section but i cant figure out which one to chose. I need a case for my gf that adds as little weight and bulk to the sgsII as possible while still offering more impact protection than the stick on body protectors. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance

Yeah the TPU case is pretty neat I had one on my nexus and it felt smooth. Protection wise was ok I still didn't feel comfortable with it falling. I have the D30 case and it is slim lightweight and adds hardly any bulk. The downside is that the buttons are a bit hard to press and may take some getting used to. Their is a trick to work around it, but that's up to you. I think with either you won't go wrong, the silicon ones are terrible and get stuck in your pocket and provide minimal protection.
There is enough hate in the world. Why can't we all get along here ...?
If you want the THINNEST case the "incipio feather ultralight hard case" but be warned: all the research I've done indicates that case won't do jack **** if you drop your phone as one reviewer put it, its a cosmetic accessory not a protective one.
I went with the diztronix tpu case that the guy above with Amazon link has except in matte black. Its amazing adds little bulk and protects against falls pretty well. Its also matte on the back so it doesn't get stuck going in jeans, etc. Like other tpu cases do.
Sent from my SGH-T989
I'm going to get the incipio feather case, but its not a protection case. Its what I like though. I know a few others that like it, so you might. I usually get TPU cases for all of my phones, but I'm tired of that route. I'm looking for other alternatives too though.

I have that exact case. Just got it last week and absolutely love it. No bulk, feels so damn smooth, and adds no weight. I had the body glove 2-piece case and that was too bulky. The Diztronic is definitely well worth the $10.

That's what I got few days ago. I ordered the high gloss translucent smoke but I got the matte version instead. Waiting for a reply back when they get back into town from some convention. Thinking on getting the matte black now.
I've been using these TPU cases for 3 years or so now. Nexus One, G2x, Xoom, and now my SGS2.
I also like that they're easy take on and off for a quick battery pull or going into a dock. Even after multiple pull ons and offs, they don't stretch, sag, tear. They are great for the price.

thanks for the help guys. She went with the Incipio. I let you all know if it fails.
diztronic Matte Back Translucent Smoke Flexible came today and i've gotta say it's a very good case. Very thin, flexible, good grip, and gets the job done
If I can get one that ships to Canada, I'm going for the Diztronic as well.
I don't like how the Incipio doesn't cover the top and bottom of the phone. WHat's up with that.

You take an exacto knife and cut below and above the buttons.
I remember reading it from a thread on here. After a lot of usage mine is a lot easier to press. Didn't cut them.

There's another option that someone on XDA mentioned which requires sticking a small bit of paper to the inside of both buttons. He also included pictures in the post (do a search). This way you don't cut into your d30 case and reduce the life of the buttons. I found some glossy paper from an ad, a little bit thicker than normal print paper, and used a small piece of scotch tape to attach it underneath the buttons. It worked like a charm.

Good protection, easy to remove, looks good and that it will feel good in the hand while not adding bulk to the device I like it thin.
The first case looks like it would add a fair amount of protection, and it's also aesthetically pleasing. It looks like it may add a tiny bit of bulk though; although, it might make it a little more pleasing to hold.
The second case doesn't seem that it would offer a lot of protection, but the holster is definitely a plus, and the case is fairly slim.

If you like it thin, then cross that first option off the list. Duo layered "hybrid" cases aren't thin by design. The thinnest I know, is from Seidio, with very nice in-hand feel and good protection.
The other white case with the holster won't offer you top or bottom protection if you ever drop it. So cross that off as well.
If you want single layer solution, you should consider TPU, it's a popular choice for a reason (beside price). CruzerLite and Diztronic are good options. CruzerLite's Androidified cases are noticeable thinner than Diztronic's classy version, but both are recommended. I wouldn't recommend any white TPU though, since they love to suck up color that rubs against them.
What I'm currently using now is a bumper case. There's a few threads about it. My version did have the TPU separation problem, but once I've placed a few dabs of superglue on area, I've experienced only satisfaction with the case. Here's the eBay page for it. I bought one copy from a similar seller, and a couple more from an online website that have stopped offering them. Needless to say, price have risen up a bit since when I bought them last.

Thanks that's kinda what i want but for the VZW model
I bought a case which looks very similar to the first one off amazon which fit very loose. I tossed the case out the day I got it. The phone was literally falling out of the case.
A link to the one i bought. Dont get it.

I have the VZW GNex. The bumper fits just fine. The top rim doesn't completely fold over onto the screen, but unless you're super OCD, it's negligible. The overall feel of the phone + case won me over. You should at least try it. For only 3 bucks (when I bought it), it's a great case for me.

Video Review: Rearth Ringke Slim Lite case

Hey fellas,
Got my hands on the Rearth Ringke Slim Lite case today, this is a thin snapback shell that protects the back and sides of your S3. Made of a polycarbonate material, it features a matte coating that feels terrific in the hand. Adds a good amount of grip, although it gets a little dirty with fingerprints. I really have nothing bad to say about this case apart from it lacks drop protection, I highly recommend it!
Check out the full review below:
nice video mate keep them coming. looks like a nice cheap case
I bought this case for my S3 and like it quite a bit. Nice review.
Just placed my order for this case. Thanks for the review.
I ordered this case too. Not sure if coupon is still valid but "freeshiping" for free shipping on your order

Nice review man.
My biggest concern with that case is that it doesn't protect the top or bottom of the phone from scratches. It's not meant for drop protection so why not go with a cheap TPU case instead? At least the TPU case would be able to cover the top and bottom of the phone to prevent scratches.

I hear ya, it's all personal preference. I only put these videos out to help others make their decisions, but in the end they have to choose based on what they like. A lot of people would go with a cheap TPU case, but others prefer an ultra-slim case.
Just bought the white one was looking for a thin case.
Love the feel of this case. Mine has fitment issues though. The cutouts on the side just barely clear the buttons and I can see white from the back plate in them. Going to contact Rearth today and see if this is normal.
Edit: Looking closely at their stock pictures, the fitment of the buttons in the cutouts is normal. I feel like they should be moved a millimeter or two towards the face of the phone. Cutouts for camera, flash, and speaker suffer the same issue also. Spare room on bottom and barely clears the item at the top.
i bought one and got it yesterday but i dont like it if someone wants it ill sell it for 10.00 and you pay shipping, let me know.
dang i hit reply and the whole site change, lol
I just got mine yesterday. It is a very sleek case, but not for my tastes. I need something with a little more protection because of work. It is a good case if you are always careful with your phone anyways. I do have to also comment that it is just as slick as the battery cover.
I would love a case like that with a matte white clear finish..
I got one too, and it is slim, which I like, but I just don't like it, but can't figure out why.
great review! I just post a thread talking about this case. I really like how thin it was, but the colors were too attractive to me. Do you ever use the strap included?
I have the black one and love it. Fits perfectly and doesn't add much as far as thickness is concerned.
i bought the alpine white one should be here in a day or so ..... ill give it a whirl :good:

good grip case

Hope someone can help out,
I have the Diztronic case, it had a ton of good reviews on Amazon, I like it a lot, adds little bulk, which I want, but still not as much "grip" as I'd like. I briefly had the Rocketfish, while it had good grip, the cover over the buttons made it difficult to push them, it's much better with the Diztronic. The Hyperion sounds like it has what I want, except some have mentioned that same issue with the buttons difficult to press. Been searching a ton trying to find something. Hate to spend another $10 plus $5 for shipping from Amazon to find out a case isn't what I expected.
Has anyone tried the Tudia case?
Thanks

I am currently using this case:
Search amazon for SUPCASE moto x, its the first one.
(sorry, cant post links yet)
The SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Hybrid case for Moto X:
It fits PERFECTLY and is pretty grippy on just the edges. The back is very matte and is perfect for sliding in your pocket and not sticking. It is pretty thin-doesn't add much bulk at all. It even has the dimple in it! (I love the dimple) The buttons are a little stiff at first, but i found they wear in after about 5 or 6 days, and become really easy to press. After about 2 weeks, you can actually feel the tactile click of the buttons easily. It also comes with a really nice screen protector (unfortunately mine had a crease in it when it arrived- caused a huge bubble so i took it off). For $14, this is better than the cases that Motorola sells on its website.

Thanks. It looks like it has a bit more bulk, I guess it's just the design that appears that way? I do want to keep it as bulk free as possible.
Wondering if anyone has tried the Hyperion, if it has good grip on the sides and back. Some posted the buttons are difficult to press, but I'd consider cutting out with an exacto knife over the buttons.
Just ordered the Hyperion case, sounds like what I'm looking for, slim, unbranded, and grippy on the sides with cutout for the dimple. Also comes with a screen protector, but I already have what I presume is superior (Armor Suit screen protector) I just haven't put it on yet

Yeah, the case is a tad bulky, but not so much that its bothersome. How is the Hyperion case? Im curious.
Also, i have the ArmorSuit screen protector, but i couldn't stand it when it was on- it really cut down on the quality of the screen, although I think i may have still had a little moisture in between. I just took it off. My case has raised edges, so im not too worried about scratches
