Am I missing something on how to remove apps from my main screens. I just loaded the ROM and it came w/ some apps that I don't want on my main screens. When I drag them to the trash "Unable to remove system application".
1.Press the screen until the widget preview pops up
2.Drag the folder onto the homescreen
3.Drag the apps to the folder
4.Then move that folder to the next page or which ever page you're not going to use.

I really like having all my apps under one screen. Looks like I need to find another rom. The journey continues.....
Have you tried removing them with Titanium Backup?

Is it possible to create an application for livescore.com (or other sites) to see the live scores of soccer (or other sports) online? Iphone has an application of livescore.com and I think we windows mobile users can have it also. It looks like simple program which updates the information of the site. I am not a developer so I can not say if it is simple to develope or not, but i thought maybe Xda developers can make something like this?:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
p.s. I know that there is footballmonitor application but it is not a simple application and i think that if it is an application like above, it will be much quicker to look at.
No one?
I've been hoping for something like this for a long time. Pocket Sports Center comes close, but it got to be a bit buggy for me at times.
But if something like this could be combined with pocket sports center, then it would be NICE.
It would be even nicer if it could be integrated to scroll across the lock screen.
That way you wouldn't have to always turn on the phone, go to the program, fire it up, etc.
Set it to check scores at certain times/intervals and scroll the info on the screen.
But I guess I'm asking for too much.
you dont need an app for it...just use link www.iphone.livescore.com save it as favourite and place on ur home screen shortcut and you have, same effect as in the app...
I want to know if it is possible to make a shorcut to the homescreen that brings up the pop up menu that opens when you hold the Home key.
Sent from my non-rooted, stock eclair Epic.
What use would it have? Basically all it would do would be taking up space and not offering any real gain since it is only a long press of the home key away...

I'm making my homescreen look kinda like honeycomb. I got the dock to look like this
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And i want the requested shorcut to put on the "recent apps" part of the honeycomb dock

While I am yet to see a shortcut for the default "recent apps" both of these apps come to mind (not to mention are free if you want to try them and see if they are comparable for your needs)

While I thank you for the links, I don't see myself using either. I tried both, didn't really like them. Just wish I could mke that. stupid pop up an icon

For all of us who are using it on PC (and missing it on android )
It's still on beta and not yet available on Google Play but, as far as i'm used it, it's fully operational and functional. Good thing is that it never ever asked for superuser privileges but it can do whatever you want with system files so...
you can download it at http://www.ghisler.com/android.htm and bellow are some screenshots that show/prove it's functionality
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
P.S. It does looks a bit confusing at first sight (like it's predecessor on PC at first look long, long time ago...) but after few finger hits over the screen it gets very logical and practical so give it a shot

Full.
First, while you are in system folder, hit last green button in main menu:
then hit the R button:
and there you go:
As i understood on the TC forums there is will of author to make that R button permanent part of main menu but with this way it stays open down there untill you choose to disable it so it's fine like this too
Final 1.01 version out, now also available on playstore:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ghisler.android.TotalCommander
and ,best of all, it's free
Thanks man for a wonder app.
Hi i have been using "Any Cut" for long time to make some additional homescreen system short cuts. it worked great. But now i have upgraded to JB the app has stopped working, does anyone know of an alternative app that can create short cuts on JB ROM?

This app is awesome. It exactly what I needed
I just used to put 4 icons without a name in the Sense Lockscreen.
Considering I use Apex, I don't mind have those icons in the Sense Launcher
This is what it looks like:

Thanx for the top! I tried it and managed to get 1 New short cut for VPN connections, but second time to try it and FC like any cut.......

Recently discovered that you need to let the app fully "load" before creating your short cut then works everything.

I just want a rom that does 3 things.
1. Removes all bloatware
2. Speed up my phone (almost all my applications lag badly all the time)
3. Improves battery life.
Also I have over 80 apps installed and arranged in just the way I like it. I spent like 2 hours arranging the apps Is there any way to save them and their positions when I get a ROM. I am coming straight form the stock firmware and not a different rom.
Also I really love the way my home screen looks. Will I be able to replicate this exact home screen on the rom? I have attached an image of my home screen. It's nothing fancy just apps and widgets and a live wall paper.

Install Root 66 via ODIN and remove the bloat you don't want. I only responded cause of the music you listen to.
Honestly all touchwiz rom listed in the developed forum will do. Ifnunwant to remove more bloatware use one of the bloatremovals...
