anker 1900 battries - Galaxy S II Accessories

hey guyz first of all greetings and sorry for bad english
okay i got my gs2 a couple of month ago and iam enjoying it allot
but i got one proplem okay the battery
it doesnot continue 12 hours with mid use
and the bigger problem its takes 3- 4 hours of charging (really stupid)
so a couple of days i heard about anker 1900 and its great since it adds capacity but without changing the physical size
any way my only 2 questions about it
1-does it harm my phone on longterm in any way
2-charging time (most imp for me )
greetings again

I had the Anker battery for my SGS, and it works the same way as the OEM, if not better lasting.
Charging time is about the same, if not more, because of the higher capacity.
If you guy the two pack with the charger, you can charge two batteries at one time, if it makes things easier.

crap so no changes in charging time :S do u know any other way to fix that ???

Are you charging via USB of AC outlet? AC outlet is a lot faster. But because of the higher capacity, it'll be longer. I personally don't think it's that long, maybe 2-3 hours for a 0-100% charge. Just charge it over night?

You should consider rooting you phone and installing a custom rom and custom kernel. One of the main reasons I did it is to be increase my battery life.
Before I use to go 8 hours max with my battery. Now that I'm on a custom rom with custom kernel I'm doing 15 hours easily.
Besides that there are other benefits too.... So check it out

Try looking for another model number charger. I recieved another charger ordered from Samsung, for my SGS2, and it charged way faster than the one I got with the phone.

it might as well charge in 10 minutes, it is a crappy device nonetheless
to answer to your real question
i am using 2 anker batteries since september.
0 problems, and if you get the set with 2 batteries and the charger, it is IMPOSSIBILE that you will ever need anything else than that, since you can simultaneously charge your phone and the spare battery.
And plus...its really cheap
Small advice though, since there has been some bad batch of ankers...before trying to charge them with the phone, try a couple of charges with their dedicated charger, better safe than sorry.

any idea if anker doesnt charge when they battery is in the phone when they are left with a certain percentage? cos both my battery doesnt charge when i fully discharge the battery. only till a certain % it works as normal charging with the battery in phone.

3250 mAh battery review (stock battery size)

It's getting late......after a long day waiting for this 3250 mAh battery to go flat, here is my review for what it is worth.
I have been searching for a month to find a battery that had the capability to last me all day. Not a bulky one! One that would fit within the original case. Not make my phone look pregnant.
I wanted a battery that i could Take off charge at 8am being able to last me all day, with LIGHT to MEDIUM usage (not heavy use!), right up until I went to bed at 10 and put it back on charge.
Is this the one??? (battery photos below)
I sourced this one. It just about fits the phone. I had to peel the battery label off at all 4 corners to get it in. It's fits in fine with standard Samsung back on. No bulge. I put in straight into my phone and charged it up to 100% then took it off charge and restarted the phone.
I'm not expecting amazing results on this first drain as I am more than aware it will take 3 to 4 cycles to gain it's full effectiveness. I am however expecting it to beat my standard battery display time on this first drain as it holda 34% more charge and then improve again after 3 more days use!
My stock Samsung battery lasts normally 4 hours display time with light to medium use. I have google location turned off, brighteness to auto and i am running gingerbread LA6. Full Samsung stock fresh out of the box. No root. No mods at all. And I have all the Samsung crap turned on and registered. I have google email with 2 accounts running. I play the odd game, and text and email like crazy. I used Ebay app heavily and also surf the Web lots. There are widgets on all 7 screens running and I always have a heavy usage live wallpaper running.
Phone finally starting to go flat... I will take screen shots of battery use and upload them. With my finally thoughts and finally 1st battery use screen shots as soon as it goes flat.
And obviously I'll look forward to your valued thoughts and views and make use of your experience as I'm new to this.......hopefully won't be too long!
Bye 4 now
1st day results in.
2nd day results in..
Photos of battery weights...
3Rd day results...

Ok..finally ran out of juice.
Remember this is not scientific just based on my daily normal use. But I did use my phone near enough full time today to make it go flat to see what it could do.
Again this is the first charge out of the bag. And I am interested to see how it gets on over the next few charges.
First Days below... More on day 2 tomorrow.

This has been going on for years on Ebay. Fake batteries & fake memory cards from China. Don't know how they get away with it, but I suppose money talks.
Please keep us updated. 5h 19m is my best display time using the Anker battery.
Fake? ie not Samsung? Its a replacement battery, So what as long as they work and do what you want

Try the Anker battery, im seeing about an extra hour of display time over the stock battery.
That's exactly what I've found with this battery on the first cycle today. I'm hoping that will improve over the next few charge cycles.? We will see

I'm actually quite intrigued to hear about this...my boyfriend uses a non branded battery from China for his Galaxy S2 and he's had no problems with it seems. I think he may have got it from ebay too. Combining that with a rechargeable case he never has to worry about recharging his phone. I hope this one works out well.

When I had my SGS2, I bought a 3,500mAh battery from eBay. It lasted longer, but not as long as I expected.
I tested it with a battery analyzer and sure enough, it was 2,413mAh. I bought another two, those only measured out at about 2,100mAh.
Those high mAh ratings you see on ebay batteries are fake.

No fake as in false advertisement! That's not really 3250 or whatever mah. If it was why wouldn't Samsung have made a 3200 or 3500 mah stock size battery? I can get 8 hours and over 5 hours screen on with stock 2500 easy. Usually mine goes all day with 4-8 hours music and 3-5 hours screen and last from 7am to 10pm ... its a scam that battery is maybe 2800 mah if that .....

Best battery upgrade

Hi,
I would like to know what is the best battery upgrade. Sometimes i need to use my phone for geocashing for more than two days and it is very boring trying to find time for waiting for charging. So I'm looking for best solution like extended battery or something like that. Size is not important for me, but i want something quality. Can you help me please ?
Thanks
Since size isnt a problem, id say.. get the Mugen 3200mah battery.
The quality is good and it has almost twice the capacity of the original.
Official samsung 2000 mah is pretty good. I get about 30% more usage on a full charge.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1649119
I bought a 9.99 3000mah battery from Ebay. Cut a hole in the back of my cover so it would fit. Anyway I'm getting over 36 hours between charge with moderate use. Atm I'm on 55% battery and I'm on 18 hours 16min. Data on. Sync on. half brightness

thanks a lot for you ansvers
I run ICS with the samsung 2000Amh battery .. I get up to almost 3 days with 1 single charge and about 30% usage (calls and msg and whatsapp)
ICS alone is worth alot in getting the battery juice up..
I have just bought this 2600 mAh battery, has anyone had this, or one similar? any good or bad comment on it?

well maybe not so radical about the exploision, everythink can explode, check out this anker battery thread, haha

but what is true and so far my experience is that cheap batteries never performed the advertised capacity, i am talking about few dozens i have purchased...
i have only a suggestion: don't use batteries that gives you with the dock of sgs2

I'm using Dragon ICS with Siyah kernel and I'm now on 32% with 28 hours normal use.
What seemed to help is enable and disable airplane mode 3 times in a row. Read that somewhere on XDA and I dont know why but I'm having a better batterylife since
asysa commanded
Custom Rom and kernel and your battery will last you the whole day, and use sreen brightness at 30%

[Q] Looking for new Battery and Charger for my S3

Hello.
At this moment i use the Stock/original Samsung Battery (2.100 mAh) and Charger ( Out: 6.0V 1.0A, Input : 0,15A )
I want to buy a better battery and charger my Samsung Galaxy s3 GT-I9300 ( Germany, when it is interesting to know, no branding )
But i don't want to buy a low quality china sh*t ( it should have a Producer warranty and have to life longer than 1 day or 2 weeks )
Also i don't want to turn my S3 into Big Phone...
It was nice when the battery should fit with the Original Case.
I found this one ( youtube.com / watch?v=BBJUj-ZgpTo - Sorry for tricking, but i can't post fully links ;o. ).
I think this battery is a nice one.
It doesnt fit with the original case, but its okay.
Maybe you know better Batterys for the Same case from the 3000mAh Battery from samsung?
And are the 900mAh more from the Samsung battery good?
about how many % life this battery longer than the orignal one !?
And yes...
I looking for a new and better Charger than the Orignal Samsung one.
Maybe one with a xtra large USB cable is nice .
Hope u can help me.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and wonderfull Days .
Sorry for my bad english.
I'm from Germany
I am runing the Anker Battery from amazon and it has been working well for 3+ months
yes.
Maybe i take a battery with a much bigger case...
But first i want a smart one ...
I think the big one like this or the "lemon" make the phone too ugly :/.
And i dont need a battery life about 3 days .
i will be happy if it stay for 24hours by normal use with musik streaming and sometimes little bit gaming .
As far as chargers go, I'd say stock is pretty much as good as it gets. Other chargers you buy don't come with warranties and they don't provide stable output (referring to those colourful ones made in China...)
Okay... ?
Bus are there difference between the Samsung Charger?
My Black one need about the Double of time too recharge as the White one, my father got with his Note2

The black one comes with your s3, has lower output than note3 charger. Note 2 has higher battery so they have a higher charger output so that it charges fast too. I'm not sure whether charging s3 at the higher rate will affect battery lifespan though.
I bought a used Galaxy S III and the battery would barely last a day. I went to my local BatteriesPlus store and picked up a standard 7100mah. I have had no complaints...it will last me about 10-12hrs with moderate/heavy usage. It works with NFC and they also have extended batteries and covers available.

I am running the Anker 4400mah and using Anker charger. Both have 180 day-no hassle warranty, and the customer service is top notch. The charge time is longer on larger batteries, however; if you buy two or cycle between standard batt and extended batt, you will never be without a charged battery. Personally, I run 2 Anker 4400mah and using their charger. At $20 a piece- well worth the price.
Run time varies based on usage, there are a lot of threads on this. For me-I usually get 1-2 days with heavy usage. Games, bluetooth emails, speaker phone, music player, ect.
I have also modded a trident case and otterbox to accommodate the size. You can get both on Amazon.
Hope this helps

Zero Lemon has served me well for the last six months or so. Just the other day I got 5 hours of screen time on Omega Rom 53. The charger is rubbish, though.
Personally, I would prefer to buy a spare stock battery, and keep it in the car,bag or my coat. Rather do that than take the chance with third party batteries.
Whoever voted that you only get an extra hour out of the battery clearly doesn't have one.

Yeah, I get many more hours with a 3300mah. I can get almost 2 days running 4.4.2 with moderate usage and lots of screen brightness. I like the 3300 as it keeps the for factor of the phone so all the cases fit. The 7000 is tempting though!! :highfive:
How about the ones that fit stock case what have people found to work the best
I went with this. Keeps the stock form. Get some good life with it. Def more than a day. Depends on the ROM.

I did a bit of googling and found that someone on here said that anker is a good brand (apart from the actual manufacturer of the original), and that the 1800 MAH battery intended for the S2 epic 4g fits our phone..... (if you google captivate glide 1800 MAH the thread from here pops up)
but im just wondering if anyone has tried/used these exact ones, and what their thoughts are...

I'm very sorry for the german only link but you will get the idea..
I use it since a while (several months) without any problem. Well it let me have maybe about 4 hours more power then with the original one. I was hoping to have more.. !
my average usage behaviour: 1 call a day (about 15min), always online (mix between wifi and 3G), email sync (always on /push).
At the end of the day (16 hours) I have about 10% battery left.
This highly depends on kernel, ROM, etc etc.
So you may test better the anker akku and let us know your results )

Leave it to me, my OEM battery has been alright again, since i ordered a new anker one last night... lol
Well i can confirm that this battery does in fact fit! the battery door still goes on with no issues. I cant comment much on its usage yet though... the only thing i can say so far is that its taking longer to charge up than my OEM one did.
Wow... so i dont know if it will stay this good... but i got the battery on tuesday.... charged it up while powered off... and now (early saturday morning, about 1am) i just turned it off to charge it as it was at 35%.... but it took me 3 days to burn only 60% of the battery, one time!! Thats still with gaming too. ive been treating it the same... only a bit less texting but just by chance. but my OEM battery would have needed at least 3 charges by now.... so im impressed!
there were a couple of random (seemingly random) drops in precent with no significant wakelocks... but, it didnt stay in a continuous nosedive like my other battery. So i dont know if i should stay this excited, but for now.... im liking it!! I hope this company continues to make this battery for a long time!

Anyone replaced the M8 battery yet?

It costs me 50 euros to do it but I don't know if I will notice significant gains. Has anyone that has the phone for 2 years, like myself, already replaced the battery?
Cheers
I have the phone for 23 months and I thought the battery was already bad because I had charging issues, like taking about 3 hours for a full charge, but then I noticed that I didn't have a quickcharger, and the cable was also bad, so after getting a samsung adaptive fast charger, not recommending it, but it was what I could find at the time, and a good cable, I get a good charge with about 1800-2000mA which takes about 90 mins for a full charge. As for the battery life, it's more about the usage, the kernel and the ROM then it's about the hardware itself, yet. In conclusion I think the battery it's still good after 2 years and I used it a lot!

I had similar problem but it was a faulty micro usb port, which I had to replace.
I think my battery it's still OK but not near as good has when I bought it. That's why I'm debating if I should spend the 50 euros and replace it.
