Im sorry if this has been mentioned before, i tried to search, but i didnt get any relevant result.
Ever since i flashed a 4.0.4 rom, im experiencing this issue, where the other person can't hear me for a few seconds during a call, and then it gets okay. This issue happens about 2 or 3 times in every phone call.
I never had this issue on 4.0.3. but I tried different 4.0.4 roms (aokp 29, liquid 1.25, CM9) and the issue is always there.
Is anyone experiencing this issue? Is it related to 4.0.4? or could it be the new radio? or kernel?
Any help is much appreciated.
Are u on vanilla 4.0.4? If yes, which radio are you using?
Which of files u use to flash 4.0.4 and which method?

Thanks for the reply,
I flashed the latest radio and bootloader from 4.0.4 via fastboot (XXLA2, PRIMELA03) and then installed the custom roms. (CM9, AOKP29, Liquid1.25) Issue is there on both AOSP and CM9 4.0.4 builds.
Never flashed a custom Kernel. I always use the kernel that comes with the rom.
No one is having this issue?
Can someone at least point me to the official 4.0.2 radio and rom? I couldnt find a working link.
I want to downgrade to see if the problem is still there on 4.0.2

I'm a noob to galaxy nexus since I just got the phone.
I have unlocked, rooted stock 4.0.2 on the phone.
I also installed cwm recovery and the question is can I install any rom that has 4.0.4 from cwm or do I need to do something else before installing the rom?
You're fine, flash away.
You have all you need.
Just make sure to wipe / factory reset from CWM before flashing the ROM

I thank you for the answers. One more question if don't mind.
if I upgrade to stock 4.0.4, how can I downgrade back to 4.0.2?
Also always do a back up in case you mess something up

You can just flash any stock rom just like any other rom. Not sure why you'd go backwards though, 4.0.4 is much better with fixed bugs and smoother etc.

I know how to install. The question was is it ok to install 4.0.4 rom from 4.0.2 stock.
I just bought a galaxy nexus from a guy on craigslist. He had prior to me getting it rooted the phone and installed cm9-20120409-unofficial-toro.
I am trying to upgrade to jellybean and I need my build number however it is showing on the about phone screen as IMM76D, however that is a GSM model number and this a verizon phone. Therefore I think it is just because the rom was created on that build phone. He did not create a stock rom backup before installing the rom therefore I had no way to revert back to stock atm.
Is that a correct assumption?
Is there another way to find out my build?
If not do you have any advice on what my next step in upgrading to jellybean would be?
It doesn't matter what build it currently is. If you want a JB ROM, grab one in the Dev section and flash it.

reenjan case.
Awesome thanks for the quick responses!
I already did a search on this question and wasnt really sure if it was only for the MIUI rom or if it was okay to flash any rom and it would still work. I want to flash the AOKP JB rom for the AT&T galaxy 3 to my Tmobile galaxy 3, is it possible to flash this rom and have everything working to? Thanks in advance
I can't answer your question, but I have one of my own. What's wrong with the TMo AOKP builds?
Nothing. I'm actually using their latest one right now but I wanted to see what the difference is. Sorry, I don't know much about rooting, I just know how to do it. And I like to try out and use different things
I am running task and ktoonez aokp from att on my t mobile s3 right now. It's been running good so far. No problems. Everything working fine. Using the ktoonez kernel too that is in the post.

You can flash them fine but there shouldnt be any difference between them
Hello everyone. The other day I wanted to change ROMs. From AOKP to Cm 10.1. Everything was fine until my data wouldn't connect on Cm 10.1 so I went back to AOKP but I'm still having the same problem! I had a back up from November 2012 AOKP 4.1.2 everything works on the this backup. I thought maybe it was just those two ROMs or something so I flashed Slim bean and everything went fine but I was still experiencing the same problem. Anyone know what I can do to fix this?

Did you flash the newest radio? The newer CM10.1 builds require it. That is where you should start. It is called uvmc6 and can be found here:

No I haven't. I figured that since I'm running an older version of AOKP I didn't haven't to. I tried the newer versions of AOKP and the older versions of AOKP. I get the same results. So now I'm going to flash CM 10.1 and then flash the radio and see if it'll work.

The radios in that thread should work with any T989 ROM.
Alright. Thanks for the help. I'll flash the cm10.1 and the radio and see if it fixes my problem and I'll get back to you. Thanks again.

I recently installed CM 9.1 on my arc s from stock ICS 4.0.4.
Ever since i have installed it i get a pop asking for Sim network unlock pin which doesnt allow me to use the phone. My question is why is the need for this in CM 9.1 ?
Does flashing the baseband from the official firmaware fix the issue ?

There is no unofficial baseband, all basebands you use are from official firmware.
It is just an issue in CM ROMs (occurs on some phones/regions). Just press Ignore button (or whatever it is called), it will still allow you to use your phone.
Thank you.
But i cant use the phone with that popping up every time i click ignore. Its very annoying and i guess the development on ICS is stopped so i guess i have to wait for jelly bean.

Why waiting? There are over 15 Jelly Bean roms at the Android Development forums.
Im waiting for the CyanogenMod 10, as i find those roms to be stable and all features working.
