Is it possible to build and attach a Led Flash to the USB port?? As anyone tried this?
I'm sure it's possible... personally I rather see a option for a forward facing camera to be added via the usb... but that's just me.
Meh there have been a few occasions where flash would have been nice. Not a bad idea

or someone could build a usb attachment that on the front has the front facing camera and on the back it has an led light for the original camera jeje
the have a mirror that attaches to the phone and acts like a front facing camera. its kinda cool because you can remove it. it you only need a ffc every once in while its awesome. just youtube front facing camera mirror
Can you provide a link to that youtube video? I did a search and too many unrelated results were displayed.

Was trying to use hangouts for a video call and got a camera error and I noticed the cam app doesn't appear to have a front facing option. Is there a know issue with the front facing cam
I posted this same question on the known issues thread but felt I may have inappropriately posted there (sorry kenny). Sorry for the double post.

Just to update.. I found the front facing cam option on the camera app and it appears to work so I guess my issue appears hangout specific. Anyone try video chatting in hangouts with this phone on cm 10.1 (or anything)

On the GNL the options on my HTC camera for dual capture, video, pan 360 and zoe all disappear. I can't take burst shots and can't go to the gallery straight from the camera app either. Is there any way to fix this besides just using the Google camera? It's annoying because I really prefer using the stock HTC cam app.

You sir are not alone. My camera app is also doing the same thing. So far I've tried switching to onboard storage. Didn't work. Tried disabling Google Now hotword detection from any screen. Didn't work. Now i'm switching from Dalvik to ART. Fingers crossed but I doubt it will help.
Over the weekend I got it to work by uninstalling all of the HTC app updates, then reinstalled all but the ZOE app. It worked for a few minutes, but after a little while the problem came back.
The Google camera for the time being is going to have to be my default camera until this is fixed. It sucks because the HTC camera app is really cool.
I should also note that this is the first time in the history of using Android that my phone hasn't been rooted. It took nearly six years for that to happen.
