[Q] Quick Unlock Mod? - Xperia Play Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

TBH the main reason that I love CyanogenMod is the ability to have "quick unlock".
For those that do not know, it simply makes it so that if you have a PIN as your lockscreen it will automatically unlock once you enter the last correct digit.
Now before I get flammed for being lazy it is not that I do not want to hit the OK button. It is because I was an ipod touch/iphone owner in the past and it by default has quick unlock, it is simply what I am used to.
My question is, is there a mod out there that enables quick unlock on stock firmwares?
At this time CM7 & CM9 is not stable enough to be used on my phone.

Ooooo yeah same +1

Vanilla Lock Screen Change Silent to Vibrate?

Hey there my phone is rooted and I'm running the new Fresh 1.0.1 Rom and I came from the Evo9 Rom running Froyo 2.2. One thing I liked about the froyo rom is that on one side it was to unlock and the other was to set the phone on vibrate instead of silent. Is there any way to change this now. I have Fresh running and I have flashed the Vanilla locks screen but currently one side is to unlock and the other is to silent and I really prever vibrate.
Thanks in advance.
I think someone asked about this yesterday too, but i would love to see this too. Instead of having to unlock & even just go to a widget, i could do it right from the lock screen.
well the froyo rom that's available does this so I wouldn't think it would be to hard
I think cyanogen mod supports this. I'm sure there is a way to port it over/hack it in.
Is there anyway to get the Vanilla Lock screen WITHOUT rooting?

Not really. There is an app in the market (I think called lockbot) that lets you use alternate lock screens, including some that look like Vanilla.
Since this can be done by this app, I imagine someone that really knew what they were doing could make the actual vanilla lock into something that could be installed over top of sense, but I don't think it has been done.
You may just want to check out lockbot for now,

straight to unlock pattern/password

Does anyone know if it is possible to skip the swipe to unlock and go straight to my pattern/code?
im running cyanogenmod 7 beta 3.
thanks in advance
ah that was a quesiton i asked in my thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1052090
i thought there was no such problem with defy? :/ in galaxy S u can go straight to unlock pattern -> phone opens but why not in defy and desire phones? that annoys me!
yeah its a pain |: i was playing with my mates nexus s and i was hoping my phone could do it too, but apparently no. im about 2 check out if widget locker can fix it. despite this the defy is a great phone and i would definately recommend it!
found a solution, search antilock on the android market needs work, but does the job
scrap that, cyanogenmod 7 doesnt seem to require slide to unlock if you have a pattern oh and antilock doesnt do the job very well at all, way to much flickering etc to be for daily use.

[Q] Need some files form VZW Nexus

I was just curious and wanted to try something, if anyone here may help me out. I am recieving an LG spectrum (I know this is a Nexus area) and I was doing some reasearch because I'm not a fan of the slide up to unlock and I found some info on how to get the aosp lock screen going and then it got me to thinking if there may be a way to switch the files for the aosp lockscreen with the ones from the nexus and be able to port it to other devices (like the spectrum,or razr). Don't know if it will work but I have an old phone I can try it on, so if anyone can help me out that would awesome. Thanks
It'll be much easier to get a stock 2.3 lockscreen than it will be to get a 4.0 lockscreen to port back to 2.3 phone.
Probably right but still want to tinker with the idea and if it can even be done
You're better off using a recent build of Cyanogenmod 7, where you will have the stock Gingerbread lock screen as well as the ability to add custom shortcuts and unlock actions. The ICS lock screen doesn't add anything that hasn't already been a part of CM7 for quite some time.

[Q] Sweep/puzzle unlock for Epic 4G like other variants?

Put it short, Epic is a decent device and I love it. But one thing I can't quite understand is its screen unlock (DRAG TO UNLOCK). I've checked out quite a lot of videos of other GS1 variants and of course seen GS1 i9000 around me and they all use the "sweep screen" unlock method. Well I know if I want more customizations I "OUGHT TO" flash custom ROMs (and I do, I seldom stay on stock) BUT times when I want to have a genuine Samsung feel I feel disgusted by E4G's unlock and want to "sweep" like other GS1s. Any workarounds (porting only the lockscreen)?
P.S. I'm on FC19 and decompiling the framework reveals "zzz_unlock_puzzle_xxx.png"s which stand for puzzle unlock (another common GS1 feature) and "zzz_unlock_arrow_xxx.png"s which stand for sweep unlock. Don't know how to enable them. Looks like Samsung has hid quite a lot of things from us (e.g. the hidden standard GS1 boot animation)
NOTE: MY ONLY PURPOSE IS TO LOOK AND FEEL AS "GS1-ish" AS POSSIBLE SO SORRY DON'T SUGGEST 3RD PARTY LOCK OR AOSP LOCKSCREEN.
Well, I'm not so keen on manually forcing the different lockscreens, but an alternative you could look into (if you so desire) is WidgetLocker. It's not native, but it allows you to customize your lockscreen! Sorry I can't be more help.
AOSP lock screen flashable is all over. Do a search for it and I am sure it is laying around. My TPR uses it. Puzzle unlock got broken in Gingerbread and was always buggy.

If I can bear 3rd party lockscreen then Xiaomi Lockscreen imitates "puzzle unlock" quite well. WidgetLocker is customizable but looks too lame.
But no, I literally won't bear ANY process in background other than SystemUI, inputmethod and current launcher. 3rd party's not my dish 'cuz just seeing them hanging around is annoying.

If I need AOSP looks I'd nandroid back to CM7. The only purpose I use FC19 is that it looks like GS1 and GS2...
And if it's "buggy" then it means there's a way to at least enable it, no?
I'm sorry, but I have to....
PUZZLE UNLOCK!!! My baby!! Come back to me!!
On a serious note, if you want to try this you'll have to be on either EC05(Froyo) or EI22(GB). The EI22 version was buggy though.
Anyways, you could always do something like:
Flash Legendary Rom RC 2.2:
and my Sony UI theme: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1370907 (for EI22, BML and MTD versions available)
This method is BML only.
Flash the stock EC05 froyo rom*: http://db.tt/k4FM5Oa7
*Note if you are on MTD, instead of flashing this, you need to Odin and repartition to EC05, then follow the rest of the steps.
deodex it by flashing this: http://db.tt/sBFyThTN
then flashing one of these themes to get the lockmod:
Orange Eternity EC05 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1190536
Gatorade EC05 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1230334
Epi-Sense EC05 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1266569
Blazing Blue Flame EC05 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1302762
Sculpted CM7 Port EC05 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1338357

Why "sorry"? I'm glad to see at least somethin' really answering me!
But look I'm on latest FC19 and I don't want to be the old timer with E_XX gingerbread or even froyo ROMs. So since there are mods, there must be ways to add it. And based on the fact no one has the source code, I can say that mods are done at "decompile, mod, recompile, sign" level, no?
Then do I have a way just to try adding it to my existing FC19 installation?

I thought that was the slide over to unlock you were talking about. And your welcome!
Zanderman's answer was what I basically said....it is not currently available for what you are running. Find Maddogin and see ifmhe will teach you how to make it happen.

Alright, thanks for the tip, I'll be on it when I'm outta my work.

lockscreen calendar @ Pro

Does anyone have an idea how to mod the lockscreen in an rooted Android...
I´m looking for more than one calendar event shown at the lockscreen at the same time.
And no, i dont want to use an add therefor because that will sometimes not work properly and the screen is not locked when i press the power button in the pocket, so the phone is unlocked sometimes.
Normally it should be possible to mod the lockscreen in Android, shouldn´t it? does anyone have some experience or can give me some advices?
Better to bring this up in Q&A...
Anyways, it is possible to do it, but you would better off using NXT lockscreen to try this mod.

sorry for wrong posting.
so, I had already Roms with the next loockscreen, but there you still have only one line for calendar preview. the preview changes in a presetted timeframe, but that's still not exactly what I wish to have. for 2.3 there was an app called "loockscreen calender", that listed more than one event at one time at the lock screen, but that doesn't work with ICS or jb. and as I posted already, a custom fully lock screen app isn't that save to work properly.
does anyone know a solution?

If the app worked on GB maybe you can ask someone to port to ICS or JB?
