Rom control for other roms. - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I've been running aokp for a while now and wanted to try out other roms like redemption. However I don't know if I can live without some of the goodies like rom control. Particularly I like the modified lockscreen with weather, and notification toggles. Is there any way to flash rom control or something similar into another rom?
Thanks,

Probably not.

CyanogenMod has similar detailed configuration functionality, but at the moment, it's nowhere as detailed as AOKP.

Flashable lockscreen or toggles?

I'm looking for a lockscreen with more options like what's available in some roms. Basically looking for more shortcuts and battery percentage. I know about widgetlocker but it doesn't work as nicely as a built in lockscreen .
Also looking for notification toggles. Again I know some roms have them but I want to try something different.

For Lockscreens the best option is a Custom ROM (AOKP) it has battery %, Octo Screen with 8 customisable shortcuts and icons.
for Notification toggles try Widgetsoid from the market. Can be customised a lot.
Thanks but I've tried aokp and it hasn't been totally stable for me, plus some lag. I want to try a lighter rom like redemption but I think I'd miss out on the lockscreen and toggles.

[Remove Nav Bar or Enable Full Screen

I'm very sorry if there is a topic about this already, but is there a way to remove/disable the navbar on a JB ROM? I'm currently on AOKP Preview 3 and it has a flashable mod to remove it. He full screen set up plus LMT has spoiled me to the point where if the ROM won't allow me to go full screen I won't use it...but I really want to try different ROMs.
Any help would be much appreciated. I tried that full screen app but that doesn't seem to be doing anything on JB ROMs

Inception Rom or ICS leak Rom

Can anyone give me any good reasons to go from inception to ics at this point?
What does ICS have over Inception at this point?

Based on Preference honestly
I really liked the inception rom (v1) because of its many functions like the scrollable notification bar, changing brightness from notification, and keyboard backlight.
The ICS update/rom doesn't have those features as it's stock, but it is very smooth. There's none of the features listed above in the ICS rom so it's completely based on preference.
I used the Nova Launcher on my DHD and I loved it so I'm running the ICS rom/update.
You can test it out but do a backup first.
Oh I have both on my phone but I was curious what others thought.
I'm going to check out this nove launcher.
I hope the guys add the scrollable status bar when they get it all figured out

The 15 toggles will be added if possible in ItsmeBdon and my ROM. (still in development...) It's based off ICS
Wikik that and the keypad backlight is all I really care about.

I'm using Inception, and I think it's best just because it's got all (or most) of the bugs squished. However, once the official ICS is released and/or more bugs are fixed in the ICS ROMs out there now, I'll most likely switch to that. I'm happy with Inception for now, though.

Moved from the One S to a SGS3...lockscreen question...

Hi,
I used to have an HTC One S phone but sold it and and decided to get a SGS3 phone instead. I'm very familiar with rooting and roms. I'm loving my SGS3 lockscreen and would like to keep it but I know I will lose it if I ROM. Does anyone know of a ROM or mod that will let me have the SGS3 lockscreen? This is what is keeping me from ROMing, I love the lockscreen...
What exactly about the lock screen is it that you enjoy? If it's the app shortcuts, many ROMs include the option to have up to 8 lock screen targets. Super useful!

most of the ROMs on the Android Development (not Original) section have TouchWiz-based ROMs.
just go in there and browse around until you see something that catches your eye.
i too like the TouchWiz lockscreen. but only because you have shortcuts AND security-based unlock.

What I like specifically is the ripple effect.
If you use a TW custom rom you will have the ripple effect lock screen. I'm using the black jelly bean rom and the rom has it.

Everyone recieved a 'thank you' hit! Thanks!
Thanks! And I woud like to second the recommendation for BlackJelly if the Touchwiz flavor is your preference. I personally prefer AOKP, but to each their own.

[Q] AOKP Notification Background

Hi, I'm running the latest stable release of AOKP, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to remove a custom image in the notification background? I set it to an image and I want my transparent background back. Thanks!
Eli
Most likely it would be in ROM control or something. Yea ROM control>general ui

Yeah, but there's no option to remove the background. Am I missing something?
Not sure about the gs3 rom but when I had aokp on my captivate I had the same issue. It let's you set a custom one but won't let you remove the custom one. I ended up grabbing a solid black background and using that as a custom one. Or try reflashing the rom. It would be nice to have an option to remove it and set it back to default.
Mind you it could be different on the gs3, I'm basing this off of the captivate version aokp jb milestone 1.

When you're on the general UI menu under ROM Control, tap the menu button and the option should be there to remove custom notification background.
