We cannot fix bluetooth, it must to be fixed in CM9...
I can publish nigthly today, with that changelog:
- Android updated to 4.0.4
- Clean CyanogenMod - we're using only CM9 sources with our device sources!
- Super smooth system
- Smooth windows animations
- New phone lock animation
- Hardware acceleration on most video formats (not all)
- Smooth videos on YouTube (LQ only right now)
- Fully working deep sleep (all the time)
- GSM fully works (signal indicator/mobile data/phone calls/messages etc.)
- Updated GoogleApps
- Disabled CRT animation (I can turn it on in next release if you want)
But bluetooth is temporary broken. Are you interested?

Hello,
Here is the beta3 version of the upcoming CM 7.0.0 for HTC Hero GSM based on Gingerbread (android 2.3.2).

- over-clocking at 748 freezes the device for me, 710 is ok using smartass governor

As I do not have a HTC Hero under my hand every time, I need testers to report back on each new build (along with a logcat, for each report). Follow me on Twitter http://twitter.com/loxdev
Please carefully read the thread and especially the first post to not report the same bugs every-time
Status:
- Camera: YES (by steelbytes)

Should I give this a go?
Cronos is a bit slow. How's the speed on this one?
Progress!
I'm downloading now
There's no funny screen off animaton ;(
Is flykernel 12a supported?
Wooo! Im gonna try this out right away

I second what dkelley said. Also I'd like to add that drawables look like triple **** in this version.
wow LoL... from lox's cm website link:
"Note
- Before flashing make sure you do a total wipe data/cache wipe
- overclocking at 748 freezes the device for me, 710 is ok using smartass governor"
well duh
don't try that at home guys - keep it in the 651 or 691 top speed are for most people please or your phone will not like you in the morning.
If I remember correctly lox's phone (well, assuming his girlfriend's phone that he tests this stuff on is his old phone) is one of those freaky 748-safe phones. If that's true then what he's saying here is that it's not able to run at his max clock speed. and if that's true and your own phone can often run stably @ 710, then you might find that you need to run @ 691 or lower with this rom.
that certainly coincides with my experience with cgb and with most froyo roms using the 2.2 JIT engine.
I'd hate to read about a bunch of phone lockups because they followed the OP's cpu speed comments on their own phones.

well that's good to hear
Progress - indeed. I think he said that this feature was untested but listed it as working - which probably means that it works in other builds so he hoped it would work. Maybe I'm wrong - but I'm sure he'll be happy to read that it works!
This thread is not a general, "air your gripes" thread.
Can we discuss solely the ROM mentioned in the OP, and keep on topic, please folks...
3D gallery is missing. Is there a way to add it?
Good work MODERATOR. Ok, some reviews here. Despite my apparent dislike for what Lox did, this ROM looks good if not as good as some other GB ROMs I have tried, you know which ones.

Worked out of the box, don't see many differences with cronos 0.0.9, except that sip calling works fine, the icons are tuned a bit better, skinning works, power widget was modified with new icons, more cm options are available. The disadvantage of CM7 beta 1 is that there is no apps2sd, but i'm sure that can be added quite easily in a rom based upon it.
The real fix still to arrive for any hero 2.3 rom is the general speed and smoothness in launcherpro/menu's and for the animations to work fine I guess. So far I prefer this cm7 release because of the little tweaks and improvements that cm7 brings.
Yeah, it looks stable and fast!

Welcome to Jama's ICS CM9
This is the first rom I have attempted to build. What I have done was combined Tytungs NexusHD ICS with the workings of CM9. This is my own personal build that I decided to share with everyone. Each rom seems to have its own advantages and disadvantages and I think I have the best daily available in my opinion.
This is all still in beta so there will be bug so post and ill do my best to correct them as fast as I can.
Anyone finds anything not working let me know.
Recommend clean install to upgrade to 4.0.3
Downloads
For Magldr please use a 220/10 partition size
Magldr download:Jamas_CM9_ICS_magldr_beta6.zip..........mirror
CLK download:Jamas_ICS_CM9_ICS_clk_beta6.zip.........mirror
CLK users.......Flash NexusHD2-Kernel_2.6.32.15_tytung_ICS_Beta8-v2-cLK-update.zip
For those who want it here it is. ICS with CM9 settings. Remember these are not complete and some options are still not available. Most likely will see a few bugs, just post and we will try and fix. Will also notice during first boot you il get a few things that fc and stop. Once phone sits for a minute you will hae to go into your aps and disable the 4-6 duplicate apps this is causeing the FC's, after that you should have no issues. Wil post MAGLDR for now to se what kind of responses I get.
Recommend 220/10 partition size
Jamas_CM9_ICS_beta6.5.zip........................mirror With CM settings.
Recommend a clean install. Updates from my rom can be just flashed over.
First boot takes about 5-10 mins, so be patient. Once phone is booted its good to let in settle in before really going to work on it. Makes things run smoother.
Optional soft keys download:
Please go here if you would like the soft keys. Soft keys
All credits goto Tytung who created a flashable zip for us to use. All credits for the fix go to rapmv78 for making it possible to use the camera on our ICS HD2's

As long as everything is synced then you should get the blue icons.
For example now. The icons are blue but still while in wifi internet does not work. Any how. Now the phone seems a tad smoother because I forced gpu rendering

You can shut off window animations also to help with speed. Wifi not working I really dont know. You can try to redownload and reflash, maybe bad download. Remember to always let the phone settle for 5-10 mins after you flash it. Phone becomes more stable the longer you allow it to settle in.
Setting no animations did the trick and the wifi seems to be working awesome

Preamble
Hello all!
Some months ago matteo and I decided to port the ICS version of it. I got stuck but matteo went further.
Unfortunately there were some bugs left and his thread got deleted. But now I'm here: presenting MIUI v4 for the HTC Wildfire S.
FAQ
Q: Help! It doesn't boot, it crashes, ...
A: Pick up the right version. CDMA (America) users have marvelc. Others have marvel.
A: If your device crashes or still won't boot your device doesn't allow OC, install the disable-OC.zip file.
Q: Do I need to flash gapps?
A: No. They are included.
Q: 600 MHz is too slow.
A: Get No-Frills CPU Control.
Q: My language isn't included.
A: MIUI isn't translated by default. Do it yourself and stop complaining.
Q: I'm out of storage, my apps won't update?
A: Reodex the ROM, partition your SD card and install Link2sd.

So nice rom, but camera isn't working :/

Okay, music player seems to be a hard to fix bug.
I found another music player that works: TTPod. Use that app for now.

Okay, I tested sometimes not all the functions.
Therefore I'm gonna fix some more bugs tomorrow and later.
Just download this ROM to see how MIUI feels and looks like.
I don't recommend it as a daily driver yet, as noted in first post.
Apparently music player doesn't load the mp3s.
I will also look at gps and location services and test all the other functions.

hey y dont u wait fr some time fr the nxt alpha release wch will b more stable and then u can port it miui ?
First try notes
This is my first try of MIUI. Very promising ROM, nice layout and features.
Tried this ROM, there are quite a few issues:
Battery life.....ate my battery overnight on standby!
No MP3 play (my 'tones' are all mp3 and my audio).
No mobile network. It worked for about 10 minutes, sent text etc, but now no mobile networks found.
A bit slow and laggy, may improve with use/reboots.
A few others things abit dissapointing too... but if this ROM could be fixed it would be th eone I would go with. Using CM7 at the moment, will continue with that until this one is improved. Tried CM9, several Sense ROMS, but his one is nice.
A few questions:
I installed with ClockworkMod Recovery..is that ok?
Does Data2sd work ok (i have correct partitioned sd)?
Do you get Friday updates OTA?
Keep developing this one, it's a cracker!
BTW Solve these everyday bugs and I'll be back to it.
Don't know why they all are having. So many problems well with me its just the music I am loving this rom .
There was a bug that placing widget on the last row would cut the widget solved it by simply changing LCD density to 140.
Really love this rom .
Waiting for music fix.
Does anyone know any music app that uses its own decoder or codecs.?

OK guys small update.
Get TTPod music player or another one with build in decoding.
Also location stuff isn't working.
I won't fix it for now, too much of a hassle.
For some time no more updates now, I will wait for a new alpha from modpunk and then start again with a newer base etc ...
Sorry mate but ttpod is force closing again and again.
Any other replacement.
Edit: sorry posted too early it was because permissions not granted by from.works nicely

EDIT1: About GPL
As you can see @andyharney has checked sources and reopened all closed threads.
Kernel sources were available on GitHub FOR A MONTHS.
And YES, kernel wasn't modified since CM9 RC2. It's the same old kernel.
Here comes the link: https://github.com/MaclawStudios/android_kernel_maclawstudios
You can also apply 2.6.35.7 to 2.6.35.14 patch if you want: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=779403&d=1321023939
Also, I noticed that some of you are doing everything to destroy our work, and that's why we aren't publishing device profile sources. By the way we don't have to do this. We've developed device profile from scratch on closed license and we just won't publish it, just like Samsung. You can still use our old device profile or Jellaxy one.
EDIT2: About Deep Sleep in Beta 3
I noticed some people experiencing issue with deep sleep after installing the update. If you are affected by bug, please turn off Google location services. We’ll try to fix it in next release.
EDIT3: About something called "Seeder"
Please, don't use famous app/hack called "Seeder". We did a quick research and /dev/random isn't used in android frameworks anywhere. Seeder will improve performance ONLY in some custom apps or cryptography functions, and that's why... we've integrated seeder tweaks in beta3. Installing "Seeder" would only decrease your phone's performance because it will work in background and waste your RAM.
EDIT4: Bugtracker
Please, use bugtracker if you want to report a bug:

Good job! For alpha1 version sounds great! Downloading it right now!
By the way, at the moment this AOSP it's better than erikas's one
it works great for me so far
deepsleep is working, yt hq is smooth
everything is butter smooth
notification toggles are not part of aosp i guess (better make use of widgets then)
no random reboots
does it support a2sd ext or i have to take my chances
good work!

The same is in CM9 RC2
Excuse me is someone would consider this blasphemy or something,
but can Maclaw's kernel run Erikas' roms and the other way around?

It looks great, and works great!!!! Thank you very very much!
Note: You must wipe data and cache after flashing this rom! Doesn't matter if you do this before or after flashing, but mandatory before booting! I looked intro updater-script and there is no wiping of data&cache

Because it's AOSP. Clean Android straight from Google. Without any mods. Stock as hell. The same as on Galaxy Nexus.

great news.. video recording and bluetooth fix would be perfect..
Waiting
thank you marcin and maclaw..
A mini-bug I've found:
When you try to enter the "Select time zone" menu from "Date & Time", nothing happens - you get back to Settings menu
Also, I don't think this is a bug, but there are not status bar toggles Please implement this, even if maybe it's not AOSP - think that if Samsung would release ICS for Gio, there would be status bar toggles, as in Gingerbread stock rom.
bad work!
- random reoboots/hot reboots, nothing stable for me ...
- you modded the rom, it isn´t a clean aosp!
* You added Superuser
* You added Reboot Option in Power Menu
* You changed Bootanimation (Normal AOSP uses one in framework-res.apk)
* You added GApps ...
Normal AOSP Size is around 100 mb, so why urs is around 120 mb?
sry but AOSP means for me, that nothing will be customized, pls marcin, i know you are a gr8 developer but provide flashable packages for extra stuff! and not customize it in rom directly
It's great as it is! What difference is if you install GApps later or if it comes preinstalled? Same goes for SU!

Maybe he wants AOSP like Galaxy Nexus have! Btw, it also have gapps preinstalled, and about SU, I agreed if he wants AOSP like Nexus.
Oh, I know, about Gapps: he don't want to waste his bandwidth maybe!

You don't have to use our ROM. You can build your own ROM if you want
