You can push androidlost app from market to your phone, and trace it(well, only if thief has not deleted ur google account from the phone.)
Good luck anyway.

Plan B to the rescue!
Phone your network provider ASAP! Say to black list your IMEI. I know as a fact Indian police won't help much. I will pray that you get your phone back. If you use Plan B, make sure you get the police to break in, don't DIY. Yes, I know the Indian Police won't help a lot, but give it a go. If they don't help, get all your friends together and break in. Before breaking in, bring with you some sparklers, fireworks, smoke bombs, stink bombs, car battery, bottles filled with fuel, firearms of any kind, torch, a lighter, box of matches, car, motorbikes, baseball bat, big bags to carry stuff, urge to pee (on burglars face), water, taser, laser, police siren, and a big bunch of other stuff. Hope things work out!

All you need is to tap on the GPS selection in the notification bar and there you can track it.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire S using xda premium
Yeah.... I prefer not to use it. Also just because it uses GPS doesn't mean it won't use data to relay the location back.
Sent from a Time Lord, using his TARDIS.
if the phone is rooted push avast to it it embeds it self in the recovery do even a factory reset wont remove it and it runs silent GPS via text even with new Google accounts and sim
Sent from my Wildfire S using XDA
Can you give the exact name of this app.
Sent from a Time Lord, using his TARDIS.
its called avast made by the same people who do the PC version even if you put it on it generates a random name ans runs it a nightmare. to remove read before installing especially the rooted bit

carefully....
Good answer.
when you set up the rooted version it asks for a pin if you you flash a new rom or do a factory reset it then bring up the menu if you enter the pin in the dialer it runs under. some service name you make up when you set it up or a random one if you install it make sure you take note of the service name as when I did it it texting my wife phone stolen with GPS location silently. on my phone did not know untilled she told me

Hello, I'm new at xda-developers, and I want to ask a question. I just dropped my phone accidentally, and I have checked everything inside my phone, everything is inside, but sometimes there might be hidden faults, so how do I check for the hidden faults? Thanks in advance.
Give it for servicing if you want but there shouldn't be any need of doing that. It depends upon from what height your cell fell down.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

One of the most redeeming things about buying a HTC phone has gone. That being the ability to lock your phone or make it ring from www.htcsense.com
I loved this feature and I'm only angry because I flashed sense earlier to try this out. But apparently HTC need that domain for a crappy blog.
So annoying that this was advertised and not sren through.
What's your opinion?

It was announced a long time ago that they were phasing out the service, it's your own fault for not paying attention.
Quite frankly I know it would have been a one-time thing for you....... Why upset about it???
I tried it myself before but it wasn't that effective..... Also I knew of this a while ago...... Read about its closing in an android news site.....

Ur friend is a damn liar. It doesn't work. Maybe he just got passed the startup but it won't work when purchasing stuff

It would take a lot of work. Modify the apk, modify the phone, then modify your ports and proxy. Still wouldn't be very safe and would have to make sure nfc beam was off. For reasoning on this point, just research why most credit cards lost their smart chips. For the lazy, a person of interest may find it a bit easier to get your credit card details if your are broadcasting it.
Now if Google incorporated a little 2 step process, Google it, then maybe it could work. Though I am sure this may prompt certain individuals to start working hard to get access to our Google ids.
For giggles, I tried first and second part. It kept crashing settings.apk. Something with the nfc trying to initialize and at random times killed my radio when trying to connect to Google. Not sure if that had something to do with TMO. Didn't bother looking into it more.
Well it is possible that way but modifying the apk will lead to problems but i just think that we take files from the galaxy nexus gsm and edit the phone like build.prop so instead we trick the apk but we might need to tweak it a little.
Ps I'm not a expert dev or a newbe im in the middle closer to newbee because I'm too scared to root my phone.

There was a TED talk in the UK where a guy sued to get the data his carrier was holding onto. They had a literal map of his life, everywhere he went, his msgs and everything....and was logged so well he was able to create a visual map of his life based on that data.
Its illegal for the provider to keep our informations , right?

A lot of things are "illegal," but unfortunately a lot of companies don't care. We'll find out for sure when somebody sues someday and somebody else gets caught with their pants down.
they could inspire a reality show with my data. ok, at least a divorce attorney.
Anyone see the Google wallet on their BlinkFeed ? Saying there is an update coming this week that will allow it on any android phone running android 2.3 or higher nfc not required this better affect our phone sick of not having Google wallet don't understand how att would allow this I thought they were onboard with Isis

Still doesn't allow payments via "tapping your phone" with NFC. Just lets you send money to people who have a email address and a bank account linked to it, it's basically PayPal.

That solves it. I've never bought anything from the store to be honest. Well I did have to enter it in when I bought my nexus 4 last year. BTW I wasn't trying to be harsh. I've just seen threads with frustrated people asking why g wallet doesn't work on their device. Even when I had it on my gnex i used it a few times. When I had it on my n 4 I never used it. I think I tried at at almost every place to see if I could get used to it. Most retailers don't even have that activated at their pos system. I found it faster to pull out my card.
Sent from my HTC One using xda app-developers app
I'm holding out hope that this will make nfc work any skeptics go read latest info for Google wallet in play store all you haters and paranoid im not putting my credit card on internet lol
You sound like my dad
That's what credit cards are for purchasing things and not being liable of you didn't make transaction lol.
Sorry for being optimistic.
We will know more by end of week
Read this and tell me what you get from it. Maybe our device won't be one of them but what I read and posted earlier today said all phones android 2.3 and higher.
I just dont see why they would do this just so we can send money to people in gmail ? And it says nfc
Nfc would have nothing to do with sending money to people threw email.
