I just installed cm7 nightly rom about a week ago. something I realized when I make a phone call I can hear my voice echo through my speaker. Is there any way to fix it?
For my research I need to flash new radio version to stop the echo is that correct? (I might wrong)
Phone spec: T-mobile g2 with dz-hboot.
Thanks

Can you sent me the download link for latest radio vision.. will my phone data got erased when I flash the latest radio version???

What radio are you running? I think the .19 radio is the best to resolve the echo issue.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970809
That is the thread with all the radios, you can flash through bootloader just make sure the file is name pc10img.zip and reboot into bootloader. Make sure you know what you are doing before messing with the radio, easy way to brick if you are careless...

Whenever i had sound issues during calls, they seemed to be related either to me not doing a full wipe and/or not using the latest radio as mentioned above.
Here we go again. Probably not the radio and if you don't know what a radio is or how to flash it make sure you learn correctly first or risk a brick

I had the voice echo problem on my G2 with CoolOS/MiUi v3.2.22.
Flashing the latest radio (Vision_Radio_12.62.60.27_26.13.04.19) taken from this XDA thread fixed my issue, too.
Thanks for the clue.

* if you have any concerns about flashing a radio before flashing it!

How to Flash:
In order for this to work, the HTC Glacier needs to be S-OFF. Flashing the radio with a corrupt file or interrupting the flash, can brick the device, please proceed with caution.
Download the your choice of radio for the HTC Glacier.
Make sure the filename is PD15IMG.zip exactly or it will not work and copy it to the same folder as adb (the /platform-tools folder within the Android SDK folder).
Connect the HTC Glacier to the computer via USB.
On the computer, open terminal and run the following commands:
Code:
adb push PD15IMG.zip /sdcard/PD15IMG.zip
adb shell md5sum /sdcard/PD15IMG.zip
NOTE: The md5 should match up the provide the original download location. If not, redownload & try again.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
The HTC Glacier will reboot & usually boot into fastboot. Pressing the Power button will put the device into the bootloader.
The bootloader will scan for the radio update. Once it finds the update, select Yes.
Allow the bootloader to finish flashing the updated radio, and reboot the HTC Glacier normally.

Flashing raw radio images is very dangerous. Especially when flashing the Engineering HBoot have the ability to flash raw radios via fastboot.
Yep I'm not worried let you not the first time people know who fault it is when they flash radios they make the choice

Finally we have radio images to pick from... just too bad that usually engineering radio isn't fully optimized yet
Which one of these should I try on stock variant rom?
HTC Glacier Black
Royal Glacier V1.3
Droid killing Apple anim and sound
Rooted splash
Faux latest LV Sense Kernel
Is it true that when we flash to newer radio,we cant flash back again?
If that true, what is the result of flash back?

I've flashed numerous radio versions back and forth. When I first started playing with android phones I assumed latest was the greatest only to find most modders have a preferred radio due to it usually being matched to a RIL
Only some radio's don't allow to downgraded

Hi guys, my Wifi hotpot isn't working anymore on CM7.1.0.1. I tried flashing different kernels (2.6.35 to 2.6.32 and back to 2.6.35) but it still didn't work. I restored it back to a CM7.0 Final backup and it worked on that, restored to CM7.1.0.1 and it got the error again. Anyone got a fix for this?
Have you tried a different radio?

DON'T FLASH A RADIO THAT ISN'T MADE FOR YOUR PHONE..........
You'll most likely break it forever.

I have tried several times to flash the new baseband radio. With 4EXT and I have tried rename file and fastreboot. Non works.
With 4ext I get massage I'm not allowed to flash etc ..
Am I missing something?
This will be the first radio I flash..I'm still on stock.

You can flash a new radio file .zip via CWR. It's very simple
I need to install clockwork recovery to be able to flash radio? I thought 4ext touch could do the job as well

Any recovery can.
Depending on your hboot, you may not be able to flash radio via recovery.
Flashing via fastboot is always better though.
I tried changing the zip file name and put it in sd card then boot phone into fastrecovery by holding back button and boot. But it doesn't recognize the file.... So I don't get any choice.

That's your problem. You can't flash radio via recovery with that hboot. You have to do it via fastboot.
via xda app
Ok.... Did some searching.. Found out i had to extract the zip then flash the img file. Am i able to flash back and forth between radio versions. Also.. Do i need to reinstall the rom after the flash?

No need to reflash roms after radio change. A general rule to follow is that you don't mess with your radio if you don't have problems with your phone. One wrong move during flashing and it can brick your phone.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Unless like me, you have balls of steel and are still amazed that after what you've put your phone through over the years it still functions. Hell, it even survived me accidentally dropping it.... err.. against the err... wall...

don't have time to send link now but its easy and can be done via fastboot or hboot. there is a threade on the various radios in the developers section, just search there. I suggest the latest radio ending in .19, but your experience may differ
