Hi everyone.... Im a newbie....
Just got my Samsung Epic and would like to root it.
Model # SPH-D700
Firmware Version 2.2.1
Baseband Version S.D700.0.5S.EC05
Kernal Version - 2.6.32.9
Build #: Froyo. EC05
Hardware Version - D700.0.5
I have read thru 100's of pages of information and followed links of which most didnt work. I was also looking at the one click method but a lot of people have saisd they have problems with it.
What is the best and simplest method to unroot my phone. I am not technically savy but can follow directions well. Thanks in advance for all your help and assistance.

Sorry but I'm a little confused. Do you want to root or unroot your phone? You said both in your post.
Look all around, but could not find this,all I need is the original update center apk from 2.3.4 GB, accidentally overwrite my own back up when I was with ICS,don't quite like it and decided to wait a little more.Any help highly appreciated.
Or can I actually extract my own .ftf to obtained this file?

hi there guys i was wondering if you could help me out i have a wildfire s that i was given to test an app for vodafone and failed to return it for software removal, now i cannot remove it and i am not really sure how to do so, the software in question is from a company called itson inc as far as i know this is them http://www.itsoninc.com/ anyone able to help??

are u rooted ? I mean, have u rooted your phone ? And are u on a custom ROM or just a stock ROM ? With all these answers only, I would b able to help u.........
ok so its like this .. my phone wont turn on . so i want to flash back my old rom throw odin. but i dont know which virsion i need .. in thinking right now on chine or united kingdom . on 1 side of the note box it written : made in china . but under it its written bevolmächtigter gem. 5EBPG: samsung electronics (UK) ltd
so what do you say guys?? and is it doungeros to flash the wrong place firmware?

you can flash any firmware you want but be sure to choose 4.1.2 version and not the 4.1.1 u can get stock rooted in ketan thread or download from sammobile hopefully u have a n7100 international version
so if ill flash UK virsion 4.1.2 even due mine might be the chinise one isnt Dangerous right? it cant brick my phone or somthing... right?

No it wont create any prob it just yhatt few ppl somtime face prob wth low signal reception and stuff but 95% case dont rather choose the latest from sammobile as it will be smoother n bug free n better battery life too while the uk variant XXDME6 is good

sorry for typo error in the last reply as was replying from my phone .
Well just go ahead and flash the version you wish to it wont create any problems at all . sometimes if you face and prob with network then u need to change modem thats it . if you want pre rooted rom check out here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230250 DMG1 is the latest if not go ahead to sammobile and choose the firmware you wish which is completely stock

I've used the search function on the forum and it has come up blank.. Not sure if i'm wording the problem correctly but couldn't find anything so that why as a last resort i've decided to post...
I gave my m8 my Galaxy Ace 2 and he updated it for me to the 4.1.2 Jellybean, and to be honest when I had the phone back off him it ran like a bag of crap..
I asked him to restore my phone to the official Gingerbread 2.3.6 but when I got it back off him the phone was in Russian.. I have managed to change the language to English but there are a lot of icons on the phone now that are still in Russian.
Can anyone tell me where to get the 2.3.6 Gingerbread BTU firmware from so I can get it flashed to how it was originally..
As I said I have searched on here and on Google and it comes up with links that are dead...
Any help would be great
