So I constantly get the "This item cannot be installed in your country" while I have Market Enabler 1.8.1 which worked like heaven like two months ago when I get my ex-SGS2 i9100 (now I have a Galaxy Nexus). I install AOKP Rom Build 33 (which has nothing to do with this issue) and got the new Google Play updated to 3.5.16.
Ok, I tried a couple of "solutions" located in various "This item cannot be installed in your country" posts and nothing, then I check in my list of devices in Google Play and see my Galaxy Nexus under ETECSA, my cuban carrier (yes, I live in Cuba) and were in that moment when I realize that the Market Enabler 1.8.1 is not doing its "job". I know 3.5.16 is the latest version of Google Play, so Market Enabler 1.8.1 must be obsolete or something.
So my question is: Is there any Market Enabler/Access-related application compatible with Google Play 3.5.16?
Best regards.
Have you tried to first install MarketEnabler, then clear Play Store cache, start MarketEnabler and select the carrier of your choice and then lastly launch Play Store?

Well, pardon me if I sound noobie, but in GPlay I can't see such thing as Play Store cache. I can only enter to Google Play Settings but there's nothing there cache-related.
Tell me, you have the same Google Play version as me? Which app you use? Market Enabler, MarketAccess or Market Unlocker? Works fine with Google Play 3.5.16?
Thank you.
EDIT: I just read that Play Store now also checks your IP and not just the SIM issuer code, so it doesn't seem to be any working app for this.

Yes buddy, knowing that is why I first connect to a VPN in Canada, so "my" IP is a canadian one: Google can't know my real IP, believe me.
Thanks.

There you go buddy. This one works for me 100% fine.
Could anyone please explain why the google wallet is now on the play store but from what I have a CDMA Verizon Galaxy Nexus is not allowed to download but other phones are?
I also know that you can get an APK for google wallet and install it just the same but im curious as to google's reasoning behind why we can actually download it off the store.
Use Chrome to Phone, visit the Google Wallet page in the Play store on your computer and send the link to your phone. Open the link you sent with market and install it. You can then update the app (or should be able to) via the market when there are updates.
As for why you can't directly install it on your phone, talk to Verizon. I'd guess it has to due with Google Wallet competing with their mobile payment initiative, ISIS or whatever it is called.

Thanks for the work around but it doesn't let me saying it isn't available by my carrier or country.

Because Verizon is being dickheaded (and also violating the terms of their Auction 73 spectrum acquisition), and Google isn't telling them to shove it.

How I got it working
So I was messing around with my Galaxy Nexus and my buddy who has AT&T added his account to my phone. He then went into the Play store, searched for and installed Google Wallet. With his account still on the device, I registered for Wallet and afterward, removed his account. Haven't had the chance to test if it works in a real setting but I will tomorrow with my morning coffee.
There wasn't any need to install an apk from some random source, it was straight from the play store on the phone. The only drawback is that it doesn't show up under my apps.
Could someone else verify this works for them?

because a factory reset will work............it sounds like since the new update maps is NOT available for you for some reason....probably a change in the build.prop what rom are you using??? try a different rom and see if it shows up...also clear the data+cache on play store
I found it!
It does not appear under my apps section.
its under the installed apps.
thanks guys!
Quick one...
On my GNex, when I try to go to the play store to buy a nexus 10, it redirects me to the mobile play store and all my efforts to not do this have proven fruitless.
Anyone know how I can access the full play store from my phone??

Well, it's supposed to ask you what you want to open the link with. You most likely have chosen Play Store links to be automatically opened by the Play Store app. Clear defaults in the settings (Settings->Apps->Google Play Store->scroll down a bit and clear defaults) and then give it a try.
So obvious... many thanks!

HA, I'll see you in the Nexus 10 forums! I'll be grabbing one too (maybe after a 1-3 months) and it should be an amazing tablet.
Hello,
First let me say sorry if this is the wrong forum for the question, or if it has been asked. I have searched myself into a headache looking for the answer as well as other information before I update my phone to be able to use Google Play.
My question is this... To install Google Play on the Fire Phone you need .apk files: Account Manager, Framework, Services, Store. Well I've seen quite a few places to get these files online. But where do those sites get them? I'm assuming it can't be downloaded via browser plugin (apk downloader, etc) from the PC Google Play store itself, since it's the app that installs other apps.
I'm paranoid and would like to get those four files myself, so I know its safe - if its possible. Any idea how/where?
The answer is probably staring me in the face, but I don't see it.
My guess is that some phones can capture the files as they download from Google updates and turn them into apk form. But I'm not sure... If there is a way to get them myself I'd like to know - if not, what is the safest place to get them?
Thanks!
gG
Well getting here would be a good start. If not like you said in your post go to Google Play store and use the APK plug in or one of the Web sites that do the same.

Just wanted to say again.
If you want to get the .APK files to install the Google Play store 100% safe ask a buddy to use ES File Manager to back them up for you. Just go into system files and find them, and select backup. Or if you are like me and have an old android phone, back them up yourself - worked like a charm - no issues.
Thanks again.
