I've been trying to install themes through Samsung Apps and I get an installation error everytime...
The error says that the application package is faulty and it cannot be installed...
Tried from the phone app (samsung apps) and from Kies, the same problem...
THe theme downloads OK but when the installation begins I get an error....
I have other themes installed with sTune. STune works OK.
I've tried deleting all my themes, leaving only the default on the phone, but still getting the same error...
I've tried setting the install destination to either phone or memory card.... the same error....
I've tried Hard Reset, still the same error....
Any ideas....
I have the official LA1 bada 2.0 firmware installed on my Wave 8500

Reflash ur phone again
yep ... i had the same problem ! Reflashed the phone and now everything is o.k.
OK guys, thanks for the replies...
one more question...
To arwiz:
After the reflash, did you restore your backup? all of the options?
Because I have tried Hard Reset and I saw that before restoring my backup, themes were installing OK. After the restore of the backup, I've got the same problem....
a the first time when i instaled bada 2.0 through KIES i have made a backup of everything (apps, contacts, sms...etc) and restored after flashed bada 2.0 and after that i could not to instal themes ... downloaded, but could not to install and everything sometimes was laggy!
then i reflashed phone and restored just contacts ... and now everything is working o.k. !
Just wanted to share the solution for some1 with the same problem...
I solved the problem by NOT restoring the "Preferences and ringtones" setting from the backup.
Everytime I did a reset, restoring the backup data screwed things up. Experimenting a little, I found out the above setting was causing the whole problem. I guess some old settings from 1.2 were to blame...

I have a backup of my Gingerbread version (2.3.3) working fine.
Yesterday, I finally found a Brazilian firmware to my I9000 and tried to test it.
Now, I'm using the Froyo version (2.2.1) downloaded from Kies and I'm having a problem to restore some files.
All my games and apps from Market are restored without any problem.
When I try to restore my contacts I get the message: Google Services Framework (process com.google.process.gapps) has stopped.
The process android.process.acore has stopped.
I have to FC them and it enters in this looping.
I tried to restore only the data (the green ones) without any luck.
I tried all kind of settings in the TB, but without success.
What can I do ?
Thanks a lot.
Factory reset first .
jje
Thanks, but I already tried it before posting.
This problems seems to be related with Google Account Sync.
I'm not sure that restoring from a newer version to an older one will work.
Personally I never restore system data and settings with TB (except the sms storage), only applications. I believe that it is more safe to do the basic configurations manually than restore it from backup.
I use my Google accounts to store the contacts, they sync without issues.
Restoring system data like that never works well via Titanium.
I would go back into recovery, clear cache and dalvik, then do a factory reset.
Go back to Titanium, restore the apps you wish WITHOUT data. Then sync your gmail to get your contacts back.
Create a google account just for the contacts and calendar, thats what I did...
Thanks a lot for the tips.
I tried all these tips but didn't work.
I had to restore only my programs and games from market and imported my contacts from my sim card.
As always happens, I had to edit every contact, because the first name always is in the last name field and even having the option to not show the contacts from sim card, I the same contacts twice in the list and had to del them.
The worst problem was after restoring my programs and games from market. They are working fine, but market can't identify them as a file already downloaded.
I tried to use the Market Doctor option but it didn't work.
I had to download them again from market.I think it happens because I'm not using an English version anymore.
At least after trying a lot, I'm using a Brazilian firmware downloaded from Kies.
No more problem of running a program with Brazilian language, but as the firmware was in English, these programs run in English language too.
Hi there just trying to update titanium back up to the latest version and every single time i download it it says theres not enough room on my memory well thats wrong as there 1.5gb of storage on my phone
I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall the app off the market and still had the same problem
I now have downloaded the latest apk and now it still wont install due to "insufficient memory"
Please can anyone help me here?
Fixed, dont worry had to go data/app and delete the titainium backup data file now its downloaded
ive been trying to work that out for days now... :L
I have looked at all the other related threads but they are not helping me.
Situation;
I installed a custom rom...had issues so i used Rom Manger and used recovery. Used Titanium backup to reinstall aps.
After a while (day later)Rom Manger became unresponsive so I uninstalled it. When I went to re-install the error came up of insufficient storage.
Phone was back to a happy rooted state so I figured I would also uninstall Titanium Backup. Same error when I tried to install it.
However after that I tried other apps and all other apps from the market will install including Rom Toolbox.
I have rebooted. Removed all trace's(so I think) of Rom Manager and Titanium Backup, rebooted and tried again but same error.
Ive deleted market apps and reinstalled them with no issues.
Im sure Ive missing somthing simple but im weary to start messing to much without some advice.
Hope you guys can point me in a good direction.
Can you screen shot the error?
I would recommend the following:
1) go into settings, apps, and clear market data/cache
reboot and try again. If that doesn't work
2) Fix permissions and try again.
Solution found
Found the solution and all is installed and working.
1. Manual find and clear dalvik-cache
2. Find and delete .odex file of the app you are trying to re-install. Only seemed to be an issue with [root]apps.
Installed a new ROM, trying to install titanium backup, says unknown error -24 on the market. Deleted everything in data/data, all other apps installed fine but Titanium won't install. I NEED to restore my files ASAP! Thanks!

This is a common error that occurs with the Play Store sometimes after flashing ROMs without wiping data, or with an incomplete un-installation (apk corruption, etc.)
Simple to fix:
(I'm assuming you're rooted, chances are you are if you get this error)
- YOU'LL LOSE YOUR DATA FOR THAT APP (You would have done anyway, if it was uninstalled properly) -
1.) Using a root file manager, go to /data/data
2.) Find the package name of the app you're wanting to install
(Don't know the package name? Find the app you're wanting to install on the Play Store online and it's in the URL)
3.) Delete that folder. All of it.
4.) Try to install your app again, it should work now
5.) If you like, hit the thanks button
Already done that mate.. but still get the error with titanoum, data/data is empty now

last solution is factory reset ..if it fails too try a different rom
I'm running latest chopsticks CM10.2 nightly
For no reason at all, my Kingdom Rush icon on my homescreen renamed itself from "Kingdom Rush" to "com.ironhidestudios.something" after a reboot (maybe dead battery, don't remember). When I try to open it it says "App isn't installed" and doesn't run anything. When checking the installed apps list, it doesn't show up. Titanium backup shows something installed as com.ironhidestudios.kingdomrush but I can't do anything with it (uninstall/backup/etc), all options greyed out.
First thing I did was try to backup my most recent saves as I have been playing it a lot and my latest backup would have lost days and days of play. I think I did this, as I found the ironhide folder in /data and backup it up to my sd card.
Attempts to install over the previous (broken) install have failed with the installation taking a while then stopping with the "App not installed" error.
I have made sure to have plenty of space available, tried zip resigning, tried all the usual "app not installed" troubleshooting, nothing works. Everything is fine on the phone but I can't get my game to install or run anymore. Do I really have to do a wipe/restore a couple month old backup just to get a game to reinstall?
