I was wondering what would happen to my custom PRL if I flashed to a new ROM ICS? Will I lose it and have to go through the process again or will it stick? Just a quick question thanks!
It will stick.
EDIT: Using QPST on any tw-based ROM will work (##8778# dialer code). Even on ICS leaks.

Modem and prl will stay unchanged.

Yeah it will be fine. The only thing I do after flashing is update profile. But my 11115 PRL is always there. Even after a Odin to stock it normally sticks.
Thanks everyone! I was hoping it would stay because I am using 11115 too and it has been much better speeds and consistency.

Whoaaa! The screen shot in your first post answers the question, do NOT flash if you don't have an i9100.. You have the Sprint variant.. You can only use Sprint's GB or ICS era modems on Fi27.. which is ICS. Why would you want to use the international version when it clearly says not to?
Your current modem is Fi27 as in your second screen shot.
I didn't know it was. I thought that was just the latest radio for the s2. But I wanted to make sure b4 hand.

Yeah, baseband is your current modem. RWilco has a modem repository in the dev section as a sticky which has all the modems released to date for our variant.
Be careful to read though, jb modems can only be used with jb tw roms. Ics and gb modems can be used in either ics, gb, aosp and aokp builds..

Tw*/touchwiz

Settings -> System Update
I meant by temp. Flashing a tw ROM because if I do it in cm10.1 it makes a "activation" which never works for me

In the past I made a nandroid backup, flashed a one click then updated prl and profile then flashed kernel and restored my backup. Honestly though I'm rarely on the same rom for more than a few weeks so I always one click between flashes and do prl, profile, and get gps lock.
OK I came over to the SG3 from the OG Epic on AOSP ROMs there was a sprint menu to update profile and prls. Any way to get it on the SG3. I have tried the sprint diagnostics from the gnex and it doesn't work like it did on the epic4g( I used the ns4g modem) with the epic4g

Not a Sprint menu, but try System Settings>System Update. That's where you find PRL and Profile updates
I'm on hellybean and ether I'm blind or can't find it I have gone through all menus and there is not that option

Is Hellybean an aosp rom? if it is, you have to flash back to a TW rom update Profile and PRL then flash back to your aosp rom.

Yes hellybean is basically CM or AOKP now with the OG epic there was a option to do profile and PRL updates and even with the GNex I had

There are alternatives to flashing a PRL via Touchwiz. The method I use to manually change my PRL on an AOSP ROM can be found here. I find this much easier than restoring a TW ROM every time I wish to change my PRL.
Thanks I know how to do prls manually its the profile updates. Anyways what are the profiles for just sprint user names, apns ?

Go here, dl the proper zip, only works for ma6, ma4 and mb1 roms. Not sure how to do it if on any other rom. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2159054
Then go here and find the prl your looking for. A tip if you can't get one to write, is turn 3g off, worked every time for me when I was playing with prl's. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1880781

Lol I meant is there a way to flash like I'm on aosp jellybean can I flash a different modem without reflashing my rom
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
Go here and read...just need to fin what kind of modem you specific dev recommends.
Like they will say "do not use a job modem" or something of that nature. Once you've read the OP for your ROM...go here and try them out. Each one is different based on the ROM and area and set up and so on.
So once you've figured out what kind ..ie..ICS or JB chose and try.
Good luck.
