OR HOW do i upgrade my current rom?
Thanks
Luminous3D
Need to update to 2.3.5 go to settings about and update
Sent from my Wildfire S using XDA
Okay thanks. Only 1 problem i live 4 hour away from the nearest connection site because i live in the country side no connection is here. Any possible way for me to manually download it?
Phone service sucks here. Only have pc network that connections
In the development section stickies Giro the shipped Rome thread and download the latest available ruu and run it from your PC.
Can you tell me what one to download?
Which region are you in?
First make sure htc sync is installed, then connect your phone to your pc a popup will appear, select 'internet pass through' your computer's connection can now be used by your phone!!
If your using a GSM wildfires (has a simcard) then grab the latest euro ruu.
Thank you both! My phone is not rooted
Is it possible to install ClockWorkMod ? And how to do so on S - ON ? If there is a topic please lead me there. My first language is German so not good english

You mean your phone is 'now' rooted right? Download rom manager from the market and select flash clockworkmod recovery
It's easier to click the thanks button than to type it!
Is there another way to get it? Intenret Pass through does not work and i need internet to download the clockwork.
Okay i thanked all, all is helpful
Check the index at the top of the general section

In order to make it easier for people to get access to downloads via KIES, or using another utility to access KIES downloads, it helps for us to have a record of as many HIDSWVER versions as possible.
You can obtain this from your Windows registry, in the key

Thought I'd knock this up as a lot of people don't know about the meaning of the software versions that come on their handset. I'm going to cover the UK networks but if others can chime in with their version/carrier I can update this post...
Basically, you have a software version on your One X, e.g. I have 1.29.401.11
This software build contains 3 important numbers - x.xx.401.x
These numbers show the region/carrier of my phone and it means that ONLY updates containing those 3 numbers are relevant to me. Same goes for other combinations...
UK Carriers
3 UK - x.xx.771.x
o2 UK - x.xx.206.x
Orange UK - x.xx.061.x
T-Mobile UK - x.xx.110.x
Vodafone UK - x.xx.161.x
European Carriers
3 Austria - x.xx.771.x (Same as 3 UK)
o2 Germany - x.xx.207.x
T-Mobile Austria - x.xx.112.x
T-Mobile Germany - x.xx.111.x
T-Mobile Netherlands - x.xx.116.x
Vodafone Austria - x.xx.169.x
Vodafone Germany/Switzerland - x.xx.166.x
Vodafone France - x.xx.163.x
Australasia
Optus/Virgin - x.xx.980.x
Vodafone AU - x.xx.862.x
Chunghwa - x.xx.751.x
You also get regional, unbranded versions...
Europe - x.xx.401.x
Middle East - x.xx.415.x
Asia WWE - x.xx.707.x
Hong Kong - x.xx.708.x
Great guide! Will clear up a lot of confusion. If people post in the thread theirs Eddy might be able to add it to the post
Thank you for your guide.
You can add the Middle East software is x.xx.415.x
Unbranded Hong Kong is 708

Regarding Software build version. I'm a new here, I got my new HTC One x for a week now just wondering if I can install a custom rom on it. Now my question is i'm currently on 1.28 base can I install those custom roms (ARHD) which are based on 1.29?

Yes. You won't get the new bootloader, whether you get the new radio is debatable, and you'll need to flash the correct boot.img (kernel, etc.) for the ROM.
Guys, can we keep this on topic? I don't want questions on how to update or use a custom ROM - this is a reference topic to make a note of all software version currently on One X handsets

Nice any change log yet?

Thanks for the heads up. Btw, do mind to test if the USB Host function is enabled in this kernel as I heard we will get OTG on v3.X kernel
Kernel 3.0? Isn't that kinda old now? I'm wondering, if they were going to update to the 3.x branch, why didn't they go for a more recent version?
IN Vietnam still 1.28.707.41 ,vietnam devs very very slow

x.xx.862.x - Voda-Hutch AU (Australia)
x.xx.980.x - Optus AU (Australia)
x.xx.1400.x - HTC China
And your screenshots show x.xx.001.x... Which is not a known version?
Europe (WWE) is generally the first one out the gate... You can easily change the version numbers in the About screen and then take a screenshot...
Also the baseband version listed is 1.1204.104.14 - however with the current 1.29 build the baseband is up to 1.1204.105.14 - surely they wouldn't go backwards on baseband?
Still waiting for Asia WWE to update to 1.29
Off topic a bit - Apart from fixing screen flicker and storage missing issue, does 1.29 boost Tegra 3's game performance?

Sounds fake to me..
Considering the following Versions are current known Region/ISP/Vendors:
x.xx.61.x - Orange UK (United Kingdom)
x.xx.75.x - Orange ES (Spain)
x.xx.110.x - T-Mobile UK (United Kingdom)
x.xx.111.x - T-Mobile DE (Germany)
x.xx.112.x - T-Mobile AT (Austria)
x.xx.114.x - T-Mobile NL (Netherlands)
x.xx.118.x - T-Mobile PL (Poland)
x.xx.161.x - Vodafone UK (United Kingdom)
x.xx.166.x - Vodafone CH-DE (Switzerland - Germany)
x.xx.163.x - Vodafone FR (France)
x.xx.169.x - Vodafone AT (Austria)
x.xx.206.x - O2 UK (United Kingdom)
x.xx.207.x - O2 DE (Germany)
x.xx.401.x - World Wide English
x.xx.707.x - Asia WWE (World Wide English)
x.xx.720.x - Asia India
x.xx.771.x - Hutchison 3G UK (United Kingdom)
x.xx.862.x - Voda-Hutch AU (Australia)
x.xx.980.x - Optus AU (Australia)
x.xx.1400.x - HTC China
And your screenshots show x.xx.001.x... Which is not a known version?
Europe (WWE) is generally the first one out the gate... You can easily change the version numbers in the About screen and then take a screenshot...
Also the baseband version listed is 1.1204.104.14 - however with the current 1.29 build the baseband is up to 1.1204.105.14 - surely they wouldn't go backwards on baseband?

Probably a test phone screenshot and someone trolled us with it.
maybe fake bcos i can see 1.30.001.7 is darker than other numbers
I think its a fake. There would be a LOT more noise on these boards had 1.30 come out legitimately.
mind you very happy to be proven wrong ROFL

I do agree with you!
The number in a close inspection do appear to be made over others.
The 1s and 0s are not even in the same size as the others.
But we can always dream ¬¬

Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone could help me in finding a stock RRU for an O2 Branded device?
CID is HTC-044.
Thanks,
CID HTC__044 is the Asia WWE, not O2.
RUU_PRIMO_U_ICS_40A_hTC_Asia_WWE_2.22.707.2_Radio_ 20.76.30.0835U_3831.19.00.120_release_274703_signed.exe
Just google it
I'm waiting for Vodafone UK branded m8 to be delivered and am lookin into debranding, converting to 401. Can anyone with stock Vodafone UK m8 tell me what their cid and firmware number is ?
Thanks
Edit.
Found them, firmware x.xx.161.x and cid vodap001
