I have the htc evo 4g. One day I booted my phone and the sd card would not mount. It is read in bootloader and on my pc, but not on my phone. I have tried formatting my sd card and trying different ones. My phone is unrooted and has android 2.3.3 on it. It also keeps rebooting over and over. I am not sure what I can do:-(. Any help would be great.

Thank you, but I do not understand much of that:-/ Is there another way?
Hey nvm, I did it. But my phone still keeps rebooting over and over. It boots up to the home screen, then a few minutes later it will reboot.:-(

This has happened to me thousands of times so i just pulled the battery. Was it turned back on, it said the sd card was damaged and needed to be formatted. so i did but its still not working. now im stuck in a boot loop, and i dont have my nandroid backups what should i do?
I Recovery, It also says that the sd card wont mount.
Did you copy the backups to your computer? Otherwise, nothing. Replace the card.

Download the Verizon update 2.2 RUU, plug your phone into your computer and see if it will load on your phone. That's the only thing I can come up with that may work.

Happened to me also. Had to use my wife's Eris with Amon RA recovery. Maybe have a buddy that uses amon RA try to reformat it for you? The phone might not matter

Hello guys,
Well i installed Miui, I rooted my phone, flashed the ROM and it was stuck on the boot for a while. Rebooted went into Recovery and wiped it. Now it works but when i plug it in to the computer it won't pick up the USB. Along with that the SD Card is not picked. When i go into About Phone Sd Card: Unavailable available. So i went into SD Card settings and all of them are unavailable.
Help please! I'd like to go back to stock ROM but can't mount it :|
Really, I don't know why that would be happening and I don't know if this suggestion will help, but try removing the battery and then putting it back in. Maybe even take out the sd card while you're at it and reseat it.

I took the battery out around 8 times already. How i take the SD Card out?
Still didn't work i took out the battery and the SD card
I know searching on these forums is difficult, but part of the reason is because of all the duplicate threads. However, Google is your friend. I searched "SD card and USB fix Evo" on Google, and this was the first link that came up:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695243
This happened to me a while back. Do the SD card fix first, then you can place the files to fix the USB problem on your SD card and you won't need ADB for that portion of the fix.
NVM got it all fixed.
Hi all...
I have tried searching and tried all the possible solutions that have come up so wondering if anyone can help..
My DHD is rooted and running Synergy RC2, I've just got it back from repair after having to get a new screen put on. Before having it repaired the SD card was working fine, whilst it was away I was using a Blackberry, I had formatted the SD... I got the phone back on Saturday put the memory card in and it didn't recognise it at all.
At first I thought it was a hardware issue that could have occured whilst it was being repaired, but when the phone is in HBOOT it searches the sd card for PD98IMG... I put PD98IMG onto the sd card and it finds this and parses the file but nothing else happens. Clockwork mod cannot find the SD card nor can the system...
I've tried using fast boot and running 'fastboot oem qxdm 0' but it doesnt help me.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? It's driving me insane!
Thanks in advance!
Have you tried formatting it again? Fat32, and maybe can try checking for bad sectors with scan disk.
Sorry I should have said this in the original post..
I have tried formatting it again and I have tried a number of different cards...
It's just confusing me how it works in the boot loader but no where else.
Hey all. First time poster, long time creeper. I can read and follow directions, and am not a total idiot. That being said, I was using my phone and was updating a bunch of apps. The phone restarted in the process and kept updating, I didn't think much of it. At some point a after the restart my class 10 32gb SD card that I have been using for the past month or so wasn't being seen. I powered the phone down, took the card out, put it back in, turned back on, nothing. I went into settings storage and hit mount SD. It then said the the card was safe to remove, so I did, nothing. I turned the phone off, hboot, recovery, got a .message that said unable to mount SD. I plugged it into a card reader on a PC and it appeared normal. I don't have another micro SD to test with. I am thinking I need to reflash a ROM to fix this, but am confused by not being able to mount in recovery anyhow. I uninstalled most of my apps and reinstalled some. I am running cyanogen 10.1. Halp?

You answered your own question. Reflash the Rom and see if your problem persists.
I want to start off by saying that I'm the type of person who likes doing things on my own before i get on the forums asking questions but Ive tried a lot of things and nothing seems to help.
So the issue I'm currently having is my phone doesn't recognize my SD card. When i go into the settings it says that the SD card is empty when in fact it's filled with my original files.
I know it's the phone cause I have tried several SD cards and it wont recognize them. Now if i have the SD card in the phone I can still scroll through the files using some kind of file manager but It wont load the apps on it like it used to. Another thing is if I connect the phone to my PC it will recognize the SD card and the files can be edited ect..
So the few things that i tried doing is removing the battery, removing SD card then inserting them both back in, formatting the SD card (killed my other one trying to format it btw) and still nothing. Wanted to go back to a date where the phone worked but since phone isn't reading the SD card it didn't let me.
Wanted to do a complete whipe so that at least I can get the phone to unrooted state but I'm afraid that the phone wont let me get into the files that are in the SD card to go back to stock ROM.
Don't know if the brand matters but i'll add the brand of the SD card anyways. It's SanDisk 1 GB. My other one that got burnt by some SD formatter was a Kingston. That one didn't work either. These SD cards worked on other phones BTW so i know it's either one the ROM or 2 the hardware.
Either way i have to get it to stock ROM to send it back to T-MOBILE so it can get fixed. Warranty is invalid when your phone is rooted. I am really in a tight situation.
If there is any advice that could lighten my day i'd greatly appreciate it.
Odin stock on it, see if it works after. You'll lose all user data. Also, sd cards fail/get corrupt. Happens all the time.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot to see if it works. Also, bought a SD card manager thing to connect to the computer and when it gets here going to try and see if it has any errors hopefully one of of these 2 things work.
