I use Tone Picker from Play... (starting to get used to that name)
Unless you use a third party app or custom ROM with additional options, I think the only way to do it is to save the song(s) you want to use in the Ringtones folder on your phone. That's where I always save my custom ringtones, and they always show up in the list to pick from when selecting a ringtone in the settings.

Can just use one of many 3rd party apps. Or simply connect to a computer and drag-n-drop the files into the "Ringtones" folder.

Like my title states...the one reason I love the MIUI rom is because of the folders. Is there any APK or any way we can get that on another rom? The MIUI rom has certain issues that I do not like to deal with. Thanks.
I believe astro file viewer allows you to classify your apps and make folders on your homescreens. It even allows you to pick the icons for each folder. It's free in the market.

Also do u flash these in cwm or what?

Copying the ringtones into the SD card folder enables the files to show up in the ringtones selection, they don't actually produce any sound. Seems like our phones don't like the .ogg file type, as my phone takes custom mp3 files just fine.

If you guys are viewing mediafire from your phone, use Google Chrome and switch to request desktop view and it will show.

Get foobar and Lame encoder - then drag the files into the foobar window and then right click on the files (select all), convert (to mp3), and walk through the prompts (you need to download LAME too - try free codecs dot com).

Just went through them and you might be dissapointed though - I've seen a lot better sounds on most custom roms...

Is this for the UI and if it isn't then how would I be able to install them on my phone? Thanks

hey
you have to extract the file on another route. Now you have to copy and move. for example if you are going to move ringtone move it to this route. /system/media/audio/ringtones. Notifications /system/media/audio/notifications. Alarms /system/media/audio/alarms. and ui is the same but do not quite understand yet that I have little in this. when finished reboot and then go to settings and you will see in the sounds. sorry I do not understand much English.

OK well I have the ringtones part done and I've copied and pasted the UI sounds in /system/media/audio/UI. Then I rebooted and didn't work. Did I do something wrong.

Well you yourself said it was a dumb question. Honestly I figured stock would have read your SD card partition and would show you the mp3 as an option or if you had a file browser like es file manager then you could have used that to navigate to the mp3. Don't take me for a douche bag

drop the MP3's in the "Ringtones" folder via pc.

No, you'll still be able to play the audios from within whatsapp.
They won't appear in the music player, though. That's what you want.

I have doubles, triples and quadruples of ringtones on my phone. A ton of these won't play at all. Is there an app or a PC program that can filter thru these for me? I hate to delete the entire folder because I have some I like. Thanks guys!

Have your flashed a new ROM on top of another one? Perhaps, old folders from another ROM is still on your phone which has ringtones from a different sub-folder? Try reflashing the ROM again with a simple cache/dalvik cache wipe.
I do clean installs on all the roms I flash. I guess I'm going to have to save the ones I like and delete the rest.
