I hate branding on my handsets ,got my desire HD on day of release in the UK via a t mobile contract and it had no branding and stock Rom not a sign of t mobile on it.Yet some of the vids of the pre release one x models already have att branding.Does anyone know if UK handsets with come with carrier branding

Never seen branding on a UK handset before (carrier branding)
I remember Orange putting their branding on the Desire (I also think they had a custom black colour but I'm not sure about that) but aside from that I don't remember anybody else doing it.

I've seen it done on the SGS2,
If this bothers you - either buy in store & see with your own eyes, or purchase a sim free model.

My HTC Desire had Orange branding on it, but my HTC Desire HD didn't, i sure hope my One X doesn't have any orange branding,
My Desire HD has branding of the Orange logo on the sim/sd card cover.

I have a Desire. But I think that a goldcard is only needed for branded Desires, not unbranded ones like you get in India.
Mine is branded, I can only install Asia_India ROMs on it.
Is it branded by DoCoMo? Or did you buy it from a normal retail store?
I bought it from a normal retail store.
Although it doesn't matter, I sent it back for replacement, should be getting one by Thursday.

on my T-Mobile branded Desire HD AND on my GFs T-Mobile branded Sensation we can only see the Dashboard when logging in to htcsense.com.
On the unbranded Desire Z of my colleague i see way more and could edit the phonbook, see the sms and so on.
HTC sais that there is no differrence in htcsense.com between branded and unbranded phones but i don't think so.
Is it right that htcsense.com is only complete when you own a unbranded phone?

HTCSense.com is broken since January, and the lazy tech crew at HTC seems to be unable to fix it. The behavior you are experiencing is not normal, but it is not rare either

Okay i read that in other forums too but why is on the unbranded DZ of my colleague everything fine!?
Someone bought HTC One X for me from Dubai, UAE. I am planning to use it in the UK. Does anyone know if the warranty is international and in the UK with my handset or it'll be valid in middle east only?
Also is there a way to find out colour of the phone from the box? It was a gift hence not quite sure about the colour.

Im looking for a stock vodafone branded rom for the desire z, ive checked all the threads here and on shipped roms as well as a google search or ten but i still cant seem to find it anywhere, id be very grateful if someone could provide me with a link or upload
Did Vodafone brand this phone? I'm pretty sure they didn't, I've never seen a branded Desire Z, only the "white box" versions.

They did, when I got mine it was Vodafone branded, when I got it repaired through HTC, it came back with a Vodafone RUU. I'm not even on Vodafone though

I'm considering buying an m8. A friend is selling one that is locked to the Vodafone network and I'm on ee. I've seen unlocked codes are cheap. My question is. Will it work OK on the ee 4g band? Or am I going to come across issues.

It'll work, all the UK M8 are the same model just some might have branded software (e.g. Vodafone, EE) on them and some might be the unbranded version
I bought a Vodafone M8 a month ago, got it unlocked on eBay for 1.99. Paid for sunshine to get it s off and change the phone to unbranded m8. For you question yes it will work with all networks once you get it unlocked
