After testing some voodoo color settings, I've been getting scan lines after finishing with it, any workaround? Or am I being noobish again

[Q] How do i adjust screen sharpness (like voodoo color does)

OK, so I just flashed to 2.3 EG22 ROM (scrambled EGgs22) and I have to say that coming from a rom with voodoo color, the SHARPNESS difference is staggering. I could care less about color temperature, i actually prefer a cooler color temp... but the SHARPNESS is sooo necessary!
So I've gathered that there is no 2.3 kernel with voodoo color... Is there any way I can fix this?

No. Without kernel source voodoo color cannot be implemented into a kernel.
Really there's a sharpness difference? I just flashed back and forth and didn't notice a single difference at all

You can adjust you screen with galaxy tuner... Only ob froyo tho but i think its included in srf.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
**** galaxy tuner doesn't let you adjust brightness that's what I really want. The color temp on my screen is perfect. But the blacks are a bit crushed on video playback.

[Q] LED control application

Very excited finally to see Galaxy with notification light (thought it would never happen). Is there an application which will assign or control which notification will trigger notification light and what color? Like I want to ignore new Gmail notification but not missed calls or something.
Thanks,
G

Yeah I tested it and I never got it to change the light color but maybe because I don't know how to really work it. I tried out put though but gave up

Using GoSMS, you can change the LED colour. It doesn't match up to what the colour is supposed to be, but mine is like two tone now. Kinda orange then magenta. Bit weird.

soft key backlight controls

any way to change the brightness? preferably to match screen brightness?

Not that I've seen. I just turned them off and enabled haptic feedback for them instead.
guess I'll have to give up flashed a zip to just permanently disable them.

How is light flow with battery, I remember hearing bad things about it
Light flow doesnt really work for mine though. ..
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
wow, lightflow is pretty sweet. I still uninstalled it though cause i like the defaults just fine. I didn't realize we had all those colors to choose from though.
Unfortunately, that poor LED on the GS3 has some trouble with some colors. Green with a yellow dot in the middle, anyone?
I just turn off LED notifications, Seems a waste of battery if it is always in my pocket and I cannot see the LED's.
I was able to customize my led notifications with slimbean rom

[MOD] Enable Softkeys and Disable Capacitive Keys (FK23)

My menu key has been Phantom pressing a lot lately so I wanted to add the Nav bar and disable my capacitive keys to prevent Phantom presses.
The Nav bar is easy but the key layout code is different in Jellybean than it was in ICS or GB. It took me way too long to figure out where the code for capacitive keys was in FK23, so I thought I'd make it easier for anyone else who needs/wants this mod.
To get softkeys/Nav bar, click on Mattix's link below and follow instructions. (thanks for discovering this)
To disable your capacitive keys, navigate to system/usr/keylayout and change the file called "Generic.kl" to "Generic.kl.bak" and paste this file in its place...
http://db.tt/Vdqr44cq
Then reboot and your capacitive keys will be disabled. The keys may still light up. You can change that by going into your phones settings and display, change touch key light duration to always off. Hope this helps somebody.
By the way, the Nav bar is pretty large at stock dpi but if you change the density (I like 200 myself) it doesn't look bad at all.
You would make a thread after I posted this...

Woops yeah didn't see that. This was mainly for disabling the capacitive keys. I figured most people knew how to do the Nav bar already.
Lol I just read your post. You can ask my wife I spent hours googling how to add Nav bar and looking through the keylayout files trying to disable the capacitive keys while she yelled at me . Wasn't trying to steal your thunder or anything. Just a crazy coincidence.

The Nav bar should work on ICS but the file for disabling capacitive keys is only for fk23. Albeit it's extremely easy to do on ICS.

anyone have any idea on how to change this to be used in touchwiz?
launcher.force_enable_rotation=true
since fk23 is 4.1.2
That app does not work correctly

Yeah I'm trying to make the search key open recent apps. I always used that mod on tw ICS roms. At this point when I try to change the line it just breaks everything. Gonna try and figure it out though.

Thanks for pointing to my link in the OP but it's ok if you make it more like a guide. It will make it a lotv easier for it to be in one place.
I could really care less about getting credit for this, credit belongs to some guy in the S3 forums.
