Hello,
when i transfer a 600 Mb File from my PC to the Memorycard i have a speed from 30 - 40 Kb/s its very slow.....
how is the problem with the connection?
Hardware - O2 Orbit with a 2 Gb Scandisc Card... and Resco Explorer...
O2 Orbit, 2gb Sandisk and vxFTPSrv (Orbit is FTP server, PC uploads) gets me 300kb/s over Wifi. Overclocked to 250MHz it speeds up till 400kb/s.

Just flashed Schaps 4.30 to my Vario II which we love by the way! It has a reg edit facilility on it but does anyone know how I can enable the GPS control panel to go with my external GPS gizmo? I'm sure I read it here somewhere but when I search for GPS it says there are no matches.
I'm sure its a quickie for some helpful peeps out there! Many thanks!
Look in start>settings>system
There's no option or control panel for GPS in settings. Its not listed at all. I know that it's built into Windows but its hidden. I'm looking for the way to enable it to show up, which I think is done in the registry.
The Wiki is your friend:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Universal_Registry
To hide or show the GPS connection in the connections panel
The settings are at 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\GPS Settings'
The 'Hide' DWORD value should be set to '0' or deleted to show the panel and to '1' to hide the panel
The 'Group' DWORD value should be set to '2' to show the panel and deleted to hide the panel
For example, to show the GPS connection in the connectionss panel
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\GPS Settings\Hide = 0
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ControlPanel\GPS Settings\Group = 2
OR here:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=WM5_Tweaks_Other
Add GPS settings icon
If you have a GPS device, you can add a GPS settings icon to your Start > Settings menu using:
HKLM\ControlPanel\GPS Settings\Group = 2 (DWORD decimal)
HKLM\ControlPanel\GPS Settings\redirect <-- delete, or rename, this value
Note that '2' stands for the Connections tab, '1' is System and '0' would be Personal
Note also that this has reportedly disabled one person's USB connectivity. To restore, set "GPS Program Port = None", "GPS Connection Port = None", "Automatic GPS Management = on"
Hey friends can anybody plz upload this file
System/etc/firmware/wlan/prima/
WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini
Wifi reception on xperia sp is very weak.
I found dat on xperia m it is very gud
So will try this file on xsp

Hi,
I'm trying to get full speed of my Airport Extreme 802.11ac on my Galaxy Tab S 10.5". But, no matter what ROM I use, my bandwidth caps at 8 MB/s when I transfer a file from my local NAS using ES File explorer, whereas my Macbook or my iPhone transfers at 40 MB/s at least.
I've checked that my wifi connection is synced at 5 GHz. Link speed is great, minimum at 700 Mbps. I can't post a screenshot because i'm a new user
Does anybody can help me ?
EDIT : the problem faces only with ES File Explorer. With AirDroid, I got 20 MB/s. It's still half from what I can get with an iPad, but there's improvements.
Hi Folks,
I have win 10 Lumia 650 and use it as wifi hotspot sometimes as i have my 4G sim in it.
The default timeout for turning off hotspot is very low, if i move out of room and the connection drops from connected devices within couple of minutes hotspot turns off.
Does anybody know the registry entry for increasing the timeout period?
Cheers!
Increase WiFi Mobile Hotspot no clients timeout:
The time-out period, in minutes, after which Internet sharing should automatically turn off if there are no longer any active clients. This node can be set to any value between 1 and 120 inclusive. A value of 0 is not supported. The default value is 5 minutes.+
A reboot may be required before changes to this node take effect.
Code:
HKLM\System\ControlSet001\Services\ICSSVC\Settings\PeerlessTimeout
Increase WiFi Mobile Hotspot no internet connection timeout:
The time-out value, in minutes, after which Internet sharing is automatically turned off if a cellular connection is not available. This node can be set to any value between 1 and 60 inclusive. The default value is 20 minutes. A time-out is required, so a value of 0 is not supported.
Changes to this node require a reboot.
Code:
HKLM\System\ControlSet001\Services\ICSSVC\Settings\PublicConnectionTimeout
