[Q] Annoying notification - Call forwarding - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I went away for 10days so I put my phone on air plane mode.
When I got back I switched it over and this notification popped up.
"Call forwarding
Forwarding all calls"
Its really annoying and I cant get rid of it. Iv gone through all the settings. I cant swipe it off either. I turned my phone off, took the battery and sim out for a bit too, its still there.
Is there something I'm missing?
I can still receive and make calls.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Bump bump bump

did you go into phone > settings > call forwarding
and check those settings?

Data will not suspend with incoming call

My rooted phone running the Fresh rom. It will not suspend data when a call is incoming. If I am listening to Pandora I get no notice of an incoming call. My wifes unrooted evo will suspend the data and let the call come thru. New to CDMA, am I missing a setting?
Tried Damage Control as well - still will not suspend data with an incoming call
Dial ##DATA# and in view mode check to see if DDTM is enabled.i believe it's under EVDO.

Ok checked it - Says DTTM ENABLE - Not sure if I have to select it to enable it or if it is already enabled. I tried to go to edit mode but it is asking for the password? I never set one up. Is it unique to the phone or a generic passcode?

Well there's your problem lol. (not an insult, Larry the Cable Guy )
It should NOT be enabled, that will make calls go to voicemail if your using data. The MSL is specific to your phone. Call Sprint and tell them your phone locked you out and wants an MSL, if they wanna be an ass and not give it to you just hang up and call back until you get one that will tell you.
Then you can get into edit mode and uncheck it.
BUT! Before you do that, go to Settings -> Call and I think you can disable DDTM there
I see where you get your name . Call settings Enable DTTM was selected. Problem Solved

Call ignoring!!

Hi!
I'm newbie here and after searching all threads and found nothing so I'm looking for an app that can ignore a call from a blackilist of numbers without showing anything on the phone's display but also without hanging up the caller! There is an iphone app giving this "ignore" option called iBlacklist if I'm helping!!
Thanks!!
pamarakos
Goto "settings > call settings > all calls > auto reject"
Don't want to reject and show it to him, meaning hang up!!!
Just want to ignore him!!!
I found this:
http://www.appbrain.com/app/call-blocker-gold/blacknWhite.CallBlocker.Gold
There is an option "silence", which should do the job.
There is Easy Filter, block calls and or sms.
Search it on the market.

Check your sound and ringtone settings.. It might be that the sound you had setup is no longer working or has been deleted, or whatever. Try other ringtones.
ok i trying that, how about this i have a tone that on my blackberry it was a notifer, but on the Epic is showing only as a ringtone and wont give it to me as a option for a notifier tone?
Also do you have any call blocking or call screening apps? Had one of those and most of the time the phone wouldn't ring. Deleted it and phone worked perfectly/ Sprint allows call number blocking via their website.
Try zedge in the market for all of your ringtone, notification, and wallpaper needs.

They hide it well. Under My Preferences scroll down to permissions to Block Voice.

Thank You very much for this info......I've been using Mr. Number and I too have had some issues w/ my sound dropping off and I have to reboot to fix it. Hopefully uninstalling Mr. Number will fix it. Updating my Sprint account to ignore the #'s instead! Damn solicitors!!!!!!!!!!!

Auto answer.

My phone seems to auto answer incoming calls..anyway to disable this? thanks

You should probably include more detailed information such as what ROM you're and such so it will make it easier for people will be able to help you!

Mine starting doing the same thing. I thought it was my case, but happened even when removed. I have figured it out (I think).
I've disable the ability to by voice answer the phone. (language & input -> Voice cmd for Apps -> incoming calls)
uncheck. i think it might be too sensitive.

Would it be reasonable that if I did not Include Information in reference to custom roms and so forth one would assume that this unit is STOCK
Thanks for your input though..

Thank you I will try this..:good:
Let me know, because it drove me nuts when it was happening to me. It also didn't start happening until it updated to LG8.
The worst timing was when I silenced the ring to avoid a call and not send it directly to VM, and then after 3-4 silent rings it answered on its own.

[Q] Emergency Alerts

Anyone know how to turn these off? With the weather we have had the last month, i just want these to go away!!!
I know we can clear them but no way to block them.
Thanks!!!
I also would like to figure this out. There is no app, and nothing under settings to disable.
On the Zenfone2 it looks like the emergency alerts are configured using the default Asus Messaging app..
There is a section under Settings > Emergency Alerts

I had the same problem, would like to turn off those annoying alert and chat with asus tech support guys, they told that goto main 'setting'-->'more'-->'cell broadcasting' which couldn't be found, I had the phone in front of me but they insisted that it's there. That's real bad since asus make good products but their tech ppl had never know their products well.
It's in the messaging app. Go to settings / sms cell broadcast

They can be a bit overreacting at times. But it's fun to watch a room full of people get the alert at the same time ?
Sent from my ASUS_Z00AD
These settings are a PoS. You have to configure them through the messaging app, and you can only turn it off and on.
You can't configure which emergency alerts you get, or what the notification sound is, which sucks if you get spammed with amber alerts at 6am in the morning.
Going back to sleep now ... hopefully.
Yeah getting these "TEST" Emergency Alerts at 3am are not fun. I complained to Straight Talk, and in turn they told me to talk to AT&T. I'm fine with emergency alerts, but monthly "TEST" alerts at 3am? Not cool...

I encourage you to go to the Messaging app -> Feedback & Help.
Click on the search icon at the top-right
Search for "amber alert" or "emergency alert" and check "I want this"
nope
When I go to Settings, there is nothing there that says "SMS cell broadcast."
Emergency alerts are under
Asus Messaging -> Settings -> General Settings ->Emergency alerts

And if you are using hangouts or some other app for your "default" sms, it appears you have to enable the asus messaging as default for SMS before you can change this setting.
Which is silly.

Open the Message app, go to top right corner you will find 3 dots from top to down, select settings ---> General Settings ---> Select "Emergency Alerts", deselect Emergency alert settings. This will give idea to turn off.
