[Q] CM7 developement

hey guys, the last months i've seen almost 4 topics about developing (such as Maroc&Razor, Motafoca, Androhacker etc...) why doesn't anyone of those combine and form 1 single team. I think it will be much better than 4 seperate teams.

And 4 different ROMS are better than 1. Everyone is working with someone else at the moment.

agreed. if people having options they will try rather then using one......

I agree with OP.. unity is the strength here.. they would hv developed it faster if they worked together.. although there can be major clashes over the the concepts.. as some strongly support some issue some don't at all!
But the point is for the sake of the dev.. they might consider sharing what they hv achieved so far.. like so far the one by razor083 is very much working.. but with lot of bugs.. if they try they can make it work! instead they r building it again separately! They should only do dat if there is nothing to be done on this port by razor083!! in dat case they should proceed from source again! but atlst they should take a look at it!!

No 3G, no Wifi, and no audio. Now thats not something I would flash. Waiting for a stable bug free version with crossed fingers. xP

OP is right: We (developers/themers/porters) should work together to make a fully working cm7 and cm9. Not all the bad roms which all get discontinued.... PM me if you want me to work with you!

Hi Everyone ;D , i just want to introduce you a brand new ROM made by me using CyanogenMod Source as base.
The idea is to bring Oxygen feel to our Gio with all CM7.2 features.

One user tell me that he cannot play mp4 video (i don't have this problem. but i still have to write this )
One user report that he cannot play HQ video on YouTube

it's up to you .. since there are so many error when i build oxygen using gio source for CM7 . i think your ported ROM will have million bugs

Is omegaICS done? Id much rather u finish that one lol. And leave this one to him. You did a great job with the other roms btw.

Maclaw, wonderfull job!!! but...
No offense.. But where are sources?
I can't find GioRIL source for CM9 (I asked you on your website before) so I made one myself (based on SpicaRIL from Criminal, all credits go to him) and published on github.
I have a 4.0.4 running, greatest part of source is AOSP. It has also CM9 sources in it because of enhanced hardware support. I didn't publish yet, still testing for several days now for bugs (well, only encountered same ones as on Galaxy ICS). It is based on the device part you guys published and I wonder if GalaxyICS team is allowing me to use ir
So I hope you can publish them all, I am very willing to test and contribute where I can. In my opinion that is the basic behind opensource and development

Only GioRIL is unpublished (forgotten about it), and IDK how did you made it from SpicaRIL, really strange... Also SpicaRIL is made by tom3q, Criminal only fix some things to make it working on ICS at Spica.
And why everyone must to attack me when I'm making something?
And our AOSP is not using CM sources, everything is patched to work armv6.
Sources will be published if it'll work without minor problems, testing right now.

Like I said, no offense it is no attack, I will never do so. I just admire your and rest of the teams work. About the RIL, look back to your answer to my question on your website, I am sure you typed something different from what you meant.

one thing i can say: putting in the wrong kernel path is almost stupid xD (Fail build1)
Now compiling Build 2 without any kernel related errors xD
And still release date: today or tomorrow cant say, bcause my server is damaged and im compiling on my macintosh

This rom is awesome. I love the new features of the new Android.
I have ~155 Mb free RAM, i think it's probably enough for my programs.
It's not the smoothest rom, but i think it's good enough for the second beta.

Use Link2SD instead, it works fine for me!

Btw. I think the necessary features are in the rom and this can be the perfect way for the development.
The biggest problem was the amount of free memory, in the past I had ~50 Mb with ICS and JB roms, now I have ~160 Mb.

@old droid. I have seen in Cyanmobile github. You are our official maintainer squadzone has released new version. Can you please update on our lovely ace. As a maintainer you have also promise that you will throw nightly every week. It's my humble request and please That can you give CMx and your precious timing in building CMx new update OR You have just closed your CMX project on our ace or you will update new CMX later. I am waiting for your reply thanks.

Klquicksall and I, made this litte release as we like stock rom, so we added Facebook contacts sync by "Phoenix Wright" and Quicksettings by kevdliu and CM apm mod.
With time we probably will make more things to the rom, but hey gotta start somewhere.
We come from HTC Sense rom cooking, where we made RCMix roms for DesireHD, and I started out with HTC Magic (sapphire) but time to change and try new things.​
This rom is based of Google Factory image JOP40D (maguro)

Exactly! Sense is visually attractive, but in my opinion, AOSP based stuff nearly always trumps Sense every time in every way.
Question, if you ever want to bring this thing to the Toroplus, I'd be glad to help out, seeing that it's my phone. Hahah.
