I prefer wallbase to be honest, use it on my phone and desktop.

These are much better quality and have every resolution you need. I've tried Wallbase, but after saving and setting as my wall, the quality is not as good as I expect.

All seem to be landscapes though, as much as I like landscapes on my desktop, my android I like abstract and CGI stuff.

Zedge is ok, but they don't do high quality portrait pictures. I prefer portrait to landscape and IFL does that.
I appreciate different opinions, but I thought the community would benefit from this site. No harm done.

Does anybody know where I can find an app with REAL HD wallpapers?
It seems as if all the ones that say HD wallpapers, lie !
I see the wallpapers looking good, but when I set them as my wallpaper on my G2 the wallpapers looks so uglyy.
Like if they where to small, with little blocks and all yuck.
Kinda like if you where to zoom-in too much on a picture.
Get me? Lol.
Please help, I'm forced to use "already installed" cm wallpapers.
Don't get me wrong they are bad-ass but I want more wallpapers...
Thanks

The screen resolution on g2 is 480x800 so if you want the wallpaper to fit nicely look for the same pixles you. Can use google image to find them.

Or I can just resize a bigger picture, ah excellent excellent thanks.
But instead of doing that mission, is there any apps for only that sized wallpapers?
Sent from my HTC Vision using XDA App
I am not sure ,ive never used any app for my wallpaper i find it easier to just find them on my pc and sync them to my phone.
BTW if you resize a picture with a very different pixle ratio in terms of (HxW) its not going to look nice .

Use 960x800.

Why use an app for wallpaper? Its getting ridiculous, thanks to Apple, people think they need an app to get anything done.
Just search for 960x800 wallpaper. There are plenty right here on XDA.

Wassup everybody,
Im here looking to see if anybody knows if there is any app that has HD wallpapers that fit well on the G2 withouth having it look a little weird or too close to the wallpaper picture. I know there is a lot of HD wallpaper apps in the market but, the thing is it all says the same but end up having wallpapers with high resolution or something that once you apply it as your background the wallpaper looks a little bit different but in a bad way like all... too close or not perfect idk how to explain it. But what I'm looking for is a wallpaper app that shows the wall papers full hd with the right fit and resolution just like the ones that are put in the Cyanogen mod wallpapers and that comes with the phone. Or if there's anyway I can edit the large pictures myself, meaning size and etc, please let me know thanks...

I use HD wallpapers. Free on Market. Has a good selection.
Zedge is a good wallpaper/ringtone/notification app. Not really sure how HD the wallpapers are, but they look great on my G2.

Why do you even need to do that? You can crop just about any photo in your gallery for use as wallpaper within Android.
Alternately, you can use most any photo manipulation software on your desktop computer to scale/crop the image to 960x800, then copy it to your phone. If you don't have any such software, GIMP is a good, free, open-source one.

I've been trying to find a good wallpaper instead of the ones provided with no luck. The thing is after the wallpaper being cropped, the resolution will degrade so much.
Is there any special apps or web for installing good wallpaper?
Thanks

Wallbase is pretty sweet, so is stumblr. If you use wallpaper wazardi to set wallpapers all is awesome, as you can portrait or scroll with it.

You can try "Auto resize/Dbd Wallpaper Set" from the market.
Any picture can be set as a full screen wallpaper (without crop or black bars).

I used Tablet Wallpapers a little bit, it's troublesome in the way that it pushes ads through notifications (or it did a couple weeks ago, I'm not going back to that).
Not an app, but the website www.interfacelift.com has wonderful photos that can be used in high res and cropped as you like.
All the wallpapers i find are horizontal and have to end up cropping them. Any1 know a goos site where they have 1280x720 VERTICAL wallpapers? Thanks.

well then you'd want 720x1280, https://www.google.com/search?sclie...=1680&bih=925&wrapid=tljp134315960855632&oq=w
but if you're using typical wallpaper scrolling like we've all been using the past few years, you actually want 1440x1280.
Thanks

There doesn't seem to be that many good 720x1280 wallpapers around. I've just been cropping down regular wallpapers, when ur looking, just think about where u will crop it to look good. I will be getting some nice very high def ones to crop soon, most regular ones from zedge and other programs seem a bit fuzzy, they're probably not 1280 tall. In fact even the 1080p walpapers from my desktop would have the same effect.

I'd like to start gathering wallpapers optimized for our screen. I've noticed a lot of wallpapers from zedge just don't fit that well and become distorted. Please post your favorites that fit well on our screen!

Where do you guys get your good ones?

+++ This site is sick. Awesome selection of wallpapers to fix any resolution. Thanks for posting this!
You can also do an image search in Google restricted to 720 x 1280 and get a lot of results. Lots of screenshots but also some nice wallpapers. Here's two I liked after a quick search...
If anyone comes across Galaxy Note 2 boot screen paper please post.

What I usually do is look for wallpapers that are BIGGER then the note 2 resolutions, then I use photoshop to crop/transform them in to exactly the right resolution for the note 2.
If I do it like this, the note 2 doesn't have to resize and the wallpaper will remain crisp.
Touchwiz doesnt support scrolling wallpapers anymore ( :crying: ) so that resolution would be 720x1280
If you use e.g. Apex Launcher, you can set a scrolling wallpaper. The resolution for that is 1440x1280.
To me it looks like the stock 'wallpaper setter' can do cropping just fine, but any form of resizing makes the imagequality worse.
I got some examples on my dropbox here
