[ROM][PORT] JOYOS 1.1.9 for GIO

Hi guys,
here, i'm porting Joyos 1.1.9 from lg optimus one by h3nr1qu3
you can see here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1616069
feature:
- iOS inteface
- New file manager
- Custom ringtones chooser;
- Different status bar animation when a notification appears;
- Number of displayed contacts on contacts app has increased;
- Option to delete multiple contacts at once;
- Option to add songs to an existing playlist;
- everything works
- Can be definitely used as daily ROM.
Bugs :
setting on camera
instalation:
1. download the rom
2. boot into CWM
3. do full wipe
4. go to instal from sdcard and select update-JOYOS119_gio_signet.zip
5. reboot n enjoy

SWEET ROM , how did you port? I kept getting android force close. But now I'm going to use yours! is it already tested? and camera itself works?

Nice, glad someone else managed to port it...
The bug is problably taken from cm7 forum or something, as the camera problably also is..
Its only I english or chinese I guess!??

I am chinese,one of our dev finish it without any bugs.(except bln)
This ui is made by chinese too,and it only has chinese and english as you guess.

why porting from LG Optimus?
porting from C8650 directly will be better.
and there is one bug with the original camera on JOYOS , which makes the images getting from the camera rotate 90 degrees.
you can use the camera on CM7.2 by phiexz instead of the camera on JOYOS.

as for the button backlight problem , I suggest disabling backlight completely.
use Root Explorer,
open the file "/sys/calss/leds/button-backlight" with "Open in Text Editor"
change the original value to num "0" , save the file
and then change the permissions of this file as:
√××
√××
∨××

Stock headset works.
Another bug : android.phone fc when receiving or making phone calls.
Edit : nevermind. Works after wiping cache

how to change icon:
1. open the rom using winrar/7zip
2. go to system/app
3. find n open joy launcher.apk
4. go to res folder n open it
5. open folder "drawable-mdpi"
6. copy icon you want to use n paste in this folder "drawable-mdpi"
*before copying the icon make sure the name of the icon must be "theme_qualwin_style_.......png"
ex if u want to change browser icon, the name for ur icon must be "theme_qualwin_style_browser.png"

lol this is a port, that is very buggy and not for daily use
But i think over to publish my bugfree version yet (v1.2.0)

[Q] CM9 OS 4.0.4 MODIFIED BY luimaio faulty internet access

just flashed the CM9 os 4.0.4 modified by Liumiao (chinese developer) but non of the internet connections seem to work.... no wifi no mobile data. please help this rom is dope

Wifi works for me but viber app is not installing.Maybe you need to reflash?

market also "unfortunately stops.." its a pity coz i really like what they did with this

I had the same problem.
Just download Viber apk then install App Installer from market then install right away.
It works.

[GUIDE]Viber on Nexus 7

Hi guys , i started a thread on how to get Viber on your nexus 7.On the Play Store page on the Viber it says :

Thank you all for your feedback. " but it you can't run it on the N7 . Its very easy . So :
1. Download it
2. Open it with ES File Explorer

And now the problem comes : You cannot use your viber account on your phone and oon your N7 / tablet , so you will have to send the validation code ( or something like that ) to another phone number ( *YOUR CHOICE* )

3.Run it
And you are ready . I use it for more than 2 days and it runs perfectly smooth . Take a look at it .

I have viber on the phone. I did not know that. Maybe you can update op for newb user like me. Used my other phone and it works.:beer:

Or you can use your titanium backup file.. just restore it on your N7.. works for whatsapp also...

Google viber apk.
Or if you have an android phone than download it from play store.
With ESFileExplorer send it to your gmail. Open gmail on Nexus and install it.

I was using viber for a long time untill yesteday Itried to upgrade it to the latest version (2.3.0.694) via Blackmart. after that I couldn't open it any more and it just gave error "unfortunately, viber has stopped". I've uninstalled it, and after that I cannot install it again. I tried play store some other markets and apk file and it can't install it. even I tried prevoius version apk file (that used to work just fine) but it cannot be installed either.
what should I do? is there any cache or something that prevents it to be installed?

A restart should fix your problem. It'll clear any leftover data and allow you to reinstall.

[Q] Themes can't applied & can't uninstall sys app by L2SD

why i can't change themes in my current rom (CM10.1 RC2) ..
when i try to change, it's show " This theme was improperly compiled and cannot be applied "..
i cant uninstall some of app from sys application (not need 4 me ) by using Link2SD.
it's appear Failure msg .. "mount: Device or resource busy" .. plz.. help ..

Use the app that i attached below and change your phone density to 158 or 150 (either way works) then, press apply and reboot
wait till it reboots and change your theme! Simple as that
After applying, you can go back to the default density (160)
but if you use the standard launcher (Trebuchet), there might be a chance that the launcher gonna force close and that could be cured by going to settings and clearing the data and cache of the Trebuchet.
Or, you can use other launcher which works fine.

Just delete system apps with titanium backup, that's working fine for me.

[Q] Miui v5 phone call quality question

I have read through the thread and know there is a call quality issue with this rom , I also downloaded the fix , my problem is every time I try to install the phone.apk file it starts to install it them stops and gives me a red x and says it wasn't installed . Is there a fix for the call quality issue that works ?

You dont install like a normal apk,you have to move it to your system app folder and then click properties then fix the proper permissions how they look on the other apps :thumbup: reboot and good to go

Thanks so much , I'll give that a try . I'm back on CM 10.1 for now .i do like miui V5 for the customization and battery life but I use my phone like a phone and make frequent calls all day .
